Totally unnecessary
Zuma Nesta Rock Takes A Shopping Trip

Here are a couple of supercute pics of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale taking their newborn son Zuma Nesta Rock out for a little shopping jaunt at Surfas this weekend:

Because the little guy has the mental capabilities of a sweet potato at this stage of his life, I’m not sure that he got much out of this shopping excursion but I suspect his parents had a good time shopping for bargains. You may recall that the Stefani-Rossdales spent part of their Thanksgiving Day hangin’ out at their neighborhood park … an experience, I’m sure, that little Zuma Nesta enjoyed prolly just as much. Honestly, any place where Zuma can poop in his diaper and get fed all at the same time is prolly just as enjoyable for him as any other. Ah, the life of a newborn baby … sounds grand :)

... and Fam
Happy Thanksgiving From Zuma Nesta Rock

Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale took their children Kingston James McGregor and Zuma Nesta Rock for a bit of afternoon playtime at their local neighborhood park yesterday before they got going with all the Thanksgiving Dinner eats. Here are a few pics of Gwen with her littlest child Zuma Nesta at the park yesterday where the little guy was showing off some of his favorite facial expressions:

The little dude looks like he’s been hittin’ the bottle a wee bit too much in the third pic (and I’m talking the bottle of Jack Daniels rather than the milk bottle) but is absolutely adorable in all of the other pics. It looks like the fam is having a great time in the group shot … clearly Gwen and Gavin enjoy spending as much quality time with their children as possible. So while the servants or whoever were home preparing the Thanksgiving feast, the family was able to spend part of their day with one another at the neighborhood park. So precious! It looks like little Zuma Nesta had himself a great first Thanksgiving with his family.

It's about that time
Kingston James & Zuma Nesta Visit With Santa Claus

Here are a few SUPERCUTE pics of Gwen Stefani with her sons Kingston James McGregor and Zuma Nesta Rock at The Grove here in LA yesterday as they waited in line (with hubby/daddy Gavin Rossdale) to see and take photos with Santa Claus:

Awww. How much you wanna bet that those adorable little crocheted hats are handmade either by Gwen or someone in her family/friend circle? I can’t even believe how big Zuma Nesta has grown already … the kid is the cutest little butterball ever! It looks the holidays are going to be very special for the Stefani-Rossdales — with Zuma celebrating his first Thanksgiving and Xmas, the family has much to be thankful/joyful for this year. Ain’t it just so precious?

She looks like she needs a vacation from her vacation
Gwen Stefani Has Her Arms Full At LAX Airport

Gwen Stefani and her family have been spending the last week or so on holiday in Mexico and were recently spotted making their grand arrival back in SoCal at LAX airport this week … unfortch for her, tho, hubby Gavin Rossdale was nowhere to be seen and the duty of lugging the children, Kingston James McGregor and Zuma Nesta Rock, fell solely to her:

Aww … poor thing looks a wreck. Even tho she had a nanny with her, Kingston insisted on being carried by his mother — who was already carrying little Zuma. She’s got some pretty adorable children, tho, so I suspect that all of this lugging around was a labor of love for her. It’s great to have the fam back in SoCal once again.

With mama Gwen
Zuma Nesta Rocks The Park

Now that little Zuma Nesta Rock has been let out of seclusion and has been introduced to the world, it appears that the little kid is everywhere these days. Gwen Stefani took her sons Kingston James and Zuma Nesta out for an afternoon in the park yesterday in plain sight of anyone who happened to be there. With all these very public outings of late (you may recall that Gwen took Zuma to the Beverly Hills Public Library last week before she posted an official photo of the little man on the No Doubt official website) it would seem that mama Gwen is taking great pains to get her newborn son as much attention as possible after keeping him hidden away for the couple of months after his birth. Here are a few pics of Zuma and his mama in a Beverly Hills park yesterday afternoon:

It was a bit cool here in SoCal yesterday so the crocheted baby jumpsuit was a wise decision. This baby is so cute … while Kingston look more like daddy Gavin Rossdale (I think), Zuma looks like his mother Gwen. It seems pretty clear that Gwen is no longer interested in keeping her youngest child sequestered from public view any longer … I suppose once the Zuma has been let out of the bottle (of the the genie variety not the liquor variety — altho Zuma does still remind me of Zima) there’s no putting him back in. I suspect that Zuma will become a mainstay from here on out. I, for one, am glad to have him.

That's incredible!
Zuma Nesta Rock Officially Unveiled

No Doubt have updated their official website with a new photo of Gwen Stefani and her newborn son Zuma Nesta Rock as a way to formally introduce the little tyke to the world. Since the first pic of Zuma came out on Tuesday and a whole slew of other pics came out yesterday, it looks like Gwen decided it was time to come clean and offer up an official photo of her baby:

From NoDoubt.com: We wanted to share with you the first photo of Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale. Gwen, Gavin, Kingston and Zuma are all doing well and enjoying being a party of four.

OMGTHOSECHEEKS!!! He is so cute! Yesterday, I noticed that Zuma Nesta looks a lot like one of those old skool cupie dolls … but Pink reader Rachel thinks that he looks a lot like Jack Jack Incredible from the Disney/Pixar movie The Incredibles:

Hee hee … I can see the resemblance ;) I’m just glad that we FINALLY know what the little man looks like. He’s just the cutest little thing and I am looking forward to seeing more pics of the little guy out and about. Ain’t he cute?!

New pics, now with 100% more face!
Zuma Nesta Rock Out & About

Yesterday we got our first look at Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale‘s newborn baby son Zuma Nesta Rock when a pic of the lad’s appearance at Kate Hudson‘s Halloween party from last weekend made its way to the Internets. Today, we get a few more pics of little Zuma — but this time, we can see his cute little face! It looks like Gwen and Gavin are no longer interested in hiding him away from public view (prolly in light of the fact that the first pic has already been released) as they proudly showed him off at a trip to the Beverly Hills Library yesterday:

OMG … he really is a cutie. Yesterday’s pic was nice but these new pics of Zuma are amazing. He really looks like a real live cupie doll! And can I just say how happy I am that Gwen and Gavin have decided to finally let the poor kid see the light of day and come out in public. He’s a doll … he shouldn’t be hidden away. Ain’t he just the cutest little thing?

Gwen and Gavin's newest son in the flesh
First Pic: Zuma Nesta Rock Emerges At Last

Well it’s about damn time. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale FINALLY stepped out in public with their newborn son Zuma Nesta Rock who was born back in August but, until now, has been a complete no-show. INFdaily managed to get the first pic of little Zuma Nesta Rock that was snapped at Kate Hudson‘s Halloween party this past Saturday night:

Oh no! That overzealous cheerleader’s talk bubble has obscured little Zuma entirely! After the jump, see the unobstructed FIRST pic of the baby boy …

Presumably
Zuma Nesta Rock Goes Home With His Parents

Here are a couple pictures of new parents (for the second time) Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale (and presumably newborn baby boy Zuma Nesta Rock) making their escape from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center yesterday afternoon just 3 days after Gwen gave birth to her second child:

By the looks of the proud new parents, they both seem to be doing fine and appear very happy to be bringing their newborn son home with them. It’s unclear if little Kingston James was formally introduced to his baby brother at the hospital but he’s bound to have met the little whipper-snapper by now. Let’s see how long it takes before his happy little family expands again … something tells me that Gwen ain’t gonna quit birthin’ babies until she has a little Harajuku Girl of her own.

Why Zima Nestea The Rock Rossdale?
Gwen Stefani’s Wacky Baby Name … What Gives?

So … we now know that Gwen Stefani finally gave birth to her second child yesterday here in SoCal, that she birthed another son and decided to name him Zuma Nesta Rock … and now, the speculation as to the “why” begins, at least, until either Gwen or hubby Gavin Rossdale decide to enlighten us. At first, I assumed that Zuma meant that she gave birth to a baby girl. Pink reader Sajel sent me a link that confirms Zuma is, traditionally, considered a female name … but what about the rest of the newborn baby’s name … what gives?

What’s in a name? For Gwen Stefani’s newborn, Zuma Nesta Rock – plenty. Take the unique first name: Computer game aficionados may remember Zuma, a popular 2004 video game from PopCap Games. Zuma required players to remove balls rolling around the computer screen by firing a colored ball at them before they filled up the screen. A more likely name inspiration? Malibu’s famous Zuma Beach, a favorite destination for parents Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale and big brother Kingston. The beach, famous for its surfable waves, was the inspiration for Neil Young’s album Zuma, making the locale a bona-fide musical landmark. And then there’s Nesta, Zuma’s middle name. Gwen and Gavin, avid Bob Marley fans, probably took a cue from the late singer’s middle name, which was also Nesta. Marley’s home base of Kingston, Jamaica, was an inspiration for big brother Kingston Rossdale’s name, so it seems Marley themes are popular in the Stefani-Rossdale household. Zuma’s second middle name, Rock, might be a nod to Rock Steady, the third studio album from Stefani’s band No Doubt. Rock Steady was primarily recorded in Jamaica and featured a reggae-heavy sound, rounding out the Bob Marley love for the musical clan.

Lord. Well, as far as baby names go, Zuma Nesta Rock‘s isn’t the strangest … I think that distinction still belongs to actor Jason Lee‘s son Pilot Inspektor Riesgraf. It’s not even the most absurd baby name that I’ve heard of lately … I would have to say that Matthew McConaughey‘s older brother Rooster McConaughey (who has wacky name of his own, but doesn’t really count since it’s a nickname) naming his son Miller Lyte wins that contest. Even still, I can’t help but think that little Zima … sorry, Zuma is gonna have a lifetime of razzing coming his way. I just hope the kid learns how to defend himself early on … something tells me that his fair older brother, Kingston James McGregor, might not be that great of a protector. So … what do y’all think about this baby name?
