Despite a new report that surfaced over the weekend that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens had gotten engaged to be wed, pretty much everyone BUT the publication that published the rumored engagement are refuting the claim. Besides, there is more important Zac Efron news to impart today … in the form of these new shirtless photos of Zacy on the Vancouver, BC set of his new film The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud which has been filming for the past few weeks:

Lawd, his new haircut makes him look about 10 years younger … clearly not of marrying age. I have to admit, I have no idea what this Charlie St. Cloud movie is all about but methinks that a shirtless Efron movie will bring all the girls to the yard, no matter what the subject matter. Let’s just hope the film does better at the box office than his gf Vanessa Hudgen’s new film Bandslam did this weekend … it was a total box office FL5OP (the 5 is silent).

Zac Efron, who is currently in Vancouver, British Columbia presumably beginning production on his next film, was spotted enjoying a night on the town last night at one of the local cinemaplex theaters. Zac and co. went out to see Brüno but also made a bit of time to play a few video games at a good ol’ fashioned coin-operated arcade as well:

I didn’t even know that Zac Efron knows what a quarter is … not that it matters cuz arcade games don’t even cost $.25 to play anymore. To be honest, I can’t even remember the last time that I actually set foot inside of a video game arcade … prolly not since Super Mario Bros. came out in the late 80’s. It’s nice to see that Zac has a keen sense of history.

Zac Efron was spotted making his way out of La Peer Salon in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday sporting a new hair’do … a shorter hair’do. Zac is widely known for his longish hair and shaggy bangs (bangs that he constantly has to brush out of his eyes with either his fingers or by head flip) but now he’s going for a different look … behold:

I can’t remember the last time that Zac’s hair was so short … it must be for a new movie role because there ain’t no way that Zac would clip his beautiful hair unless he was forced to by the Powers that Be — or mebbe on the advice of a new lady? Zac was reportedly seen out on a date with Megan Fox earlier this week … perhaps she whispered in his ear and Voila! haircut. I must say … it’s a nice look on him. He looks more clean cut. Not too shabby … do y’all like?

Zac Efron was doin’ his thuggin’ best this week here in SoCal when he was spotted trying to exit his vehicle and still keep his pants on. For some reason, Zac really loves wearing his jeans hanging off his ass … which can be problematic when climbing out of a big SUV … behold:

Either he’s really proud of his Hanes undies or he’s just hopin’ to give his 13-year old fans a heart attack but one thing’s for sure, Zac is happy to let his ass hang out whenever humanly possible. I suppose we should … be thankful or something? Whatevs, I’m just lookin’ forward to the day when Zac miscalculates and those pants end up around his ankles. Hahahaha … now that’s the pic I want to see.

It is time again for People magazine to release their annual 100 Most Beautiful People issue and this year they have selected actress and breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate to grace the cover of the issue. Christina herself credits her man Martyn Lenoble for her beauty and talks about how his love for her is what makes her beauty shine. Here is the cover of the 100 Most Beautiful People issue of People magazine and a short piece on Christina’s beauty:

She has an “angel” of a boyfriend, Dutch bass player Martyn Lenoble, “who loves me from head to toe.” She has a cozy Malibu beach house that she calls “the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.” And, after a very public battle with breast cancer that has given her a gratifying “feeling of purpose,” Christina Applegate has a new lease on life. “I used to be really shy but I started to come into my own in my late 20s and early 30s,” Applegate, 37, tells PEOPLE in the cover interview for the annual Most Beautiful issue – her first interview since her reconstructive breast surgery last November. “Now I’m not afraid to speak up in a room full of people and be a part of the conversation.” The Samantha Who? star says she’s finding balance and embracing her body after undergoing a double mastectomy in July. “You have to get through the physical transformations then buck up, go to work and try to be the normal, happy Christina for everyone around you,” she says. One source of strength has been Lenoble. “He’s been a friend for about 13 years,” Applegate says. “Our relationship gets stronger and stronger. I’m really lucky.” And, more importantly, he makes the actress feel “beautiful” about her new body. “I’m very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he’s been my rock through all of this,” Applegate says. “He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about.”

Considering the life-changing effect that enduring a double mastectomy has on a woman, I am very impressed with Christina’s attitude about her beauty (which is on full display in this issue of People magazine). I, for the life of me, cannot imagine what it must be like to survive a bout with cancer so my hat is off to her in that respect. I suppose congrats are in order for being named by People magazine as one of the 100 Most Beautiful People. But, there are 99 other folks who have been deemed beautiful by People — after the jump, check out a few of those pretty faces …

Zac Efron’s new film 17 Again opens in theaters today as does Jason Statham’s new film Crank: High Voltage … but the competition between these two gentlemen doesn’t end there. Zac Efron, as we are well aware, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine and in his photospread is photographed doing the “human flag” on a parking meter. Jason Statham is featured in the new issue of Men’s Health magazine and is also photographed doing the “human flag”. Here is a side-by-side comparison of the shirtless hunks showing their physical prowess …

So the question becomes … which guy is the hotter of the two? While Zac has youth and a full head of hair on his side, Jason has the advantage of being able to do the most extreme version of the human flag by fully extending his arms. It’s a tough choice … but I gotta know which side you fall on. Are you Team Jason or Team Zac?
