Remember those reshoots he was talkin' about?
Hugh Jackman Back On The Set Of ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’

Earlier this week we read a letter that was penned by Hugh Jackman himself which attempted to calm the fears and concerns of X-Men fans who heard about the reshoots that have been taking place in Vancouver, Canada on the set of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Today we get to check out a few photos of Hugh back in his Wolverine gear on the set of Wolverine yesterday working on those reshoots he was trying to explain in his letter:

Aww … Hugh. He looks great. I really love the hair and make-up that they do for him when he’s in character as Wolverine. Sure, we’ve seen sexier photos but there is something about the man in his Brokeback Mountain jacket that speaks to me. I’m sure there is nothing at all to worry about concerning these reshoots. Hugh, himself, promises us that “WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations” and I absolutely believe him. May can’t get here soon enough for me. Woof!

"WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations"
Hugh Jackman Pens A Letter To ‘Wolverine’ Fans

Hugh Jackman reads blogs, apparently. After a few worrisome comments were published in the venerated movie blog Ain’t It Cool News, Hugh sent an email (and a hawt promo pic) to the folks at Ain’t It Cool that tried to put fans’ fears to rest and explain why some scenes had to be reshot for the upcoming movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Here is the full text of Hugh‘s letter along with the kickass promo pic of some of the X-Men O.G.s (ie. original gangstas) that will be featured alongside Hugh‘s Wolverine in the new movie:

Hey Mate- Would you mind posting this? Thank you for your support! HJ

Hey everyone -

It’s Hugh Jackman, sending this note from freezing Vancouver. I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie – I owe it all to you guys!

I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we’ve got much more in store!

In the meantime, here’s an exclusive shot of some characters you may recognize…

Cheers,

Hugh

Um, HOLY SHIZZ! Can you imagine getting an email from Hugh Jackman? Lordy, I think I’d die … but I’m totes digressing. I think it is really smart of Hugh Jackman to try and nip speculation on the film’s reshoots as soon as possible. Once bad buzz gets going on the Internets, it’s very difficult to undo the damage. I’m not sure that his explanatory email will satisfy all concerns by some of the fans but I think it’ll help some. It’s really very cool of him to to send off an email to try and address fans directly. The photo that came along with the email is pretty sick … it features from left to right: Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Remy LeBeau/Gambit (Taylor Kitsch), Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Victor Creed/Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) and Silver Fox (Lynn Collins). Reshoots or not, the film opens in theaters on May 1. I’m already ready. Personally, I have no doubt that the film will be as “badass” as Hugh promises.

Wolverine takes center stage
‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ Gets Its First Movie Trailer

Over the weekend, folks who made their way out to see The Day the Earth Stood Still in theaters were treated to the first viewing of the new trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine which stars Hugh Jackman in the role that made him a superstar. In this X-Men prequel due in theaters next May, we will learn how Logan became the X-Men member known as Wolverine:

Hugh Jackman reprises the role that made him a superstar – as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, retractable claws and a primal fury. Leading up to the events of X-MEN, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.

Man O Man … this looks so good. I love how it appears that Hugh Jackman has a clause in every movie contract he signs that stipulates that he MUST appear half nekkid and/or wet at least one time per film. Le sigh. After the jump, check out the HD trailer in full …

'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' gets a new promo pic
Knives Out

Here is a new promo pic of Hugh Jackman from his new movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine (which is due out in theaters next year) taken from the new issue of Empire magazine:

It’s been some time since we’ve seen new pictures of the mostly nekkid Hugh Jackman so I figured this pic was close enough (tho, it’s not nearly as hawt as the recent pics of the man frolicking shirtless in the water with his kids). I guess it was too good to be true to expect that we’d continue to get weekly pics of man in various states of undress … ah well, it was nice while it lasted. Hopefully we’ll get some of those pics to gawk at again soon … in the meantime, enjoy Wolverine. Hey, at least it’s something.
