OMG … last night was the funnest night ever. I spent most of the day preparing for my upcoming trip to Detroit but I met up with my friend Michael for dinner before heading off to see Veruca Salt at The Viper Room in Hollywood. Michael and I planned on going out to dinner but because he lives within walking distance of The Viper Room he invited me over for a BBQ dinner that he cooked :) We had a very nice chat and were able to catch up about various developments going on in each other’s lives. Michael is a fan of Veruca Salt so he was happy to head over to see the show with me … we met up with my dear friend Irene and planted ourselves front and center at the venue. Before the Salts took to the stage, I was able to meet (finally) in person Kay Hanley (who used to front Letters to Cleo and now makes her own solo records which she sells online on her official website). She and I had exchanged a few emails before, so it was really amazing getting to meet her finally :) It was just a great night all around.
