Twilight star Ashley Greene and former High School Musical (and flop Bandslam) star Vanessa Hudgens were spotted on the streets of Vancouver, BC yesterday making their way to the mall together. You may recall that both Ashley and Vanessa were embroiled in individual scandals where nekkid pics of the young starlets made their way to the Internets (it was a first time occurrence for Ashley, a repeat occurrence for Vanessa) so it seems like the ladies may be bonding over their mutual love of nekkid exhibitionism … behold:

I guess nothing brings two new friends together like a nekkid photo scandal. It’s always nice when new friends find that they have the same interests in common … a mutual love of music, literature, nudie pics … whatever. These are the bonds that withstand the test of time. The term BFF gets thrown around a lot but I can totes see how these two could really end up being best friends forever.

Dane Cook, who attended the taping of the 2009 Teen Choice Awards last night as a presenter, decided to give Vanessa Hudgens a little shout-out on the show in front of the sold-out audience in attendance. As you may recall, new NSFW nekkid photos of Vanessa made their way to the Internets last week and since that time no one was really talked about those photos … so, of course, Dane thought it would be really funny to bring up the matter on the Teen Choice Awards last night:

Back in September of 2007 a bunch of nekkid pics of Disney star Vanessa Hudgens made their way to the Internet for all the world to see. I mean, I get what they are going for with this vid (the funny) but in the end, I think they missed the mark (hence, they all must die?). I must admit that I did laugh out loud when Lance Bass got confused for Lance Armstrong … that was kinda funny. And to be totally honest, there were a few LOL-worthy jokes but I’m afraid the vid is just way too corny overall. What do y’all think … do you dig it?

Zac Efron made a recent visit to Europe to do some promo for his upcoming new film 17 Again and appeared to be very lax in his personal grooming habits. First he showed up to a photocall in France wearing a t-shirt that was covered in stains (ew) and then he showed up at a premiere screening in the UK with a huge glob of ear wax seeping out of his ear (gross) …

… a sight that was not lost on his admirers here in the States because upon his arrival back in SoCal, he and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens were showered with gifts to ensure that Zac’s waxy build-up problem goes away:

LOLOLOL! Someone decided to pummel Zanessa with Q-Tips as they made their way out of Beso restaurant here in LA Saturday night. The best part — one of the Q-Tips got stuck in Vanessa’s hair! Over the weekend we got our first look at the new Disney photo, shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz, which features Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Today, we get to check out a new interview with Zanessa that the pair gave to Disney twenty-three — a new official community for Disney fans. Here is a behind the scenes photo from the shoot (along with a reminder of the photo itself) and their new interview about the photo with D23:

As part of the Disney Dream Portrait Series, world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz transformed High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens into dashing Prince Phillip and lovely Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. D23 paid a visit to the photo shoot and got the inside-scoop from the adorable couple!

D23: Did you ever think you would be portraying classic Disney characters from a classic Disney movie and a classic fairy tale?
Vanessa Hudgens: No, never, and it’s such a beautiful thing you know. I think every girl wishes to be a princess, and I finally got to do it.
Zac Efron: I used to watch these movies all the time growing up, loving these films. So to play the prince…
VH: … and a handsome prince!

D23: Did you really feel part of the fantasy today?
ZE: Yes, as soon as I walked onto the set, I knew it was magic. I love Annie’s interpretation of the flowers. I think she used the term brambles.
VH: Yeah, from the fairy tale.
ZE: It looks gorgeous. Annie showed us her inspiration.

D23: Prior to today had you seen some of the series that started two years ago? First with David Beckham and Beyoncé?
VH: Yeah, I saw it and thought it was so beautiful… gorgeous and so well portrayed.

D23: Vanessa, you’re in pretty fast company here. Scarlett Johansson, Beyoncé, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Biel… How do you feel joining this line-up of stars?
VH: It’s very exciting. I’m so glad to be part of the team. Like I said, I always wanted to be a princess.
ZE: And Prince Phillip’s not a bad character to play. I kind of like him. He’s a pretty big hero, and it’s just before they had this great moment and they are kissing. There was a big adventure that this prince goes on… so it’s kind of rough by the time he gets to this scene.

D23: David Beckham was the original character to portray Prince Phillip in the original series two years ago. Now, Zac, you are reprising the role. You both have sports connections. You have the sports connection from High School Musical.
ZE: (Laughing) Yeah, sure. That’s so funny. (Vanessa laughs.) We’re playing the same character.
VH: You are like the young David Beckham now.
ZE: Well, in theory he was actually fighting the dragon [in an earlier scene], I think. So I’m the older David Beckham.

D23: Because he was brandishing a sword in his photo. Today you are without sword. A kinder, gentler Prince Phillip…
ZE: I checked my sword at the door (laughs). No, if I had a sword in the photo it would look like I came in for a different reason.

D23: So, is this your first experience working with Annie Leibovitz?
ZE/VH: Yes! (at the same time).

D23: But obviously you know her work and have seen a lot of her work.
VH: Yeah, she’s such an incredible photographer. I really admire what she’s done, and I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with her.
ZE: She’s been taking gorgeous pictures for her entire life. I can’t believe I got to meet her… I was a fan walking in. I’m downplaying it.

D23: Zac, you mentioned you watched Disney films growing up, and Vanessa I’m sure you did too. Did you have a particularly favorite when you were younger?
VH: Mine was probably Aladdin.
ZE: I was going to say Aladdin.
VE: I love Jasmine, and the music was really great. It was a fun fairy tale… one of the classics.

D23: So, how was the overall the experience today?
VH: It was a lot of fun, it was great.
ZE: (Referring to the scene) I mean she woke up; there was a 50-50 chance she wouldn’t wake up (both laughing).
VH: Yeah, you never know.
ZE: And I think we made it out OK.

Well, they’re not rocket scientists so I’m not sure what I was expecting from this interview. They gave pretty standard responses, nothing at all with any depth. The fact that Zac “kinda likes” Prince Phillip was pretty much the highlight for me. But, really, it’s not at all about the interview … or even the actors … it’s all about the photograph and I must admit that it’s a beautiful photo. Leibovitz has a really great eye and she knows how to capture a moment beautifully. Altho Zanessa aren’t really my favorites, I can appreciate that they look pretty amazing in this Disney photo. I don’t think they should do any future interviews, tho … hearing them speak doesn’t help their attractiveness.

Back in January 2007, the Walt Disney company released the first photos from their Year of a Million Wishes campaign which featured celebrities portraying classic characters from Disney animated films in new photos shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. As you may recall, David Beckham was photographed as Prince Phillip from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Scarlett Johansson was photographed as Cinderella and Beyoncé was photographed as Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Then in January of 2008, Disney released a whole batch of new photos from the campaign which featured celebs like Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony (who portrayed Princess Jasmine & Aladdin), Whoopi Goldberg (as Aladdin’s Genie), Jessica Biel (as Pocahontas) and more. Later that same year, a new photo that featured Julianne Moore as Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Michael Phelps as a merman was released. Today, we get to see the latest photo from this Disney campaign … behold, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as Prince Phillip (the very same character Becks portrayed in the first batch of photos) and Princess Aurora/Briar-Rose from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty:

While the pose is pretty cheesy (most likely because it’s got Zac Efron in it), the photo is beautiful. Leibovitz is such an amazing photographer, her photos are very, very cool. I suppose I get why Disney would select Zanessa to portray these characters but I’m actually surprised they’ve decided to milk the Sleeping Beauty movie for another photo when there are so many other films that have yet to be featured. Snow White?* Mulan? Mowgli from Jungle Book? I am happy to know that the campaign is still ongoing, especially since Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams is long over. I wonder if we’ll be seeing more photos soon from the campaign? I guess we shall see.
