I just love Natalie Portman. Not only is she an amazing actress but she really seems like one of those down to Earth folks that you really could get along with. I am a big fan of her work and I hope to see Brothers when it hits theaters. Seeing these photos of Natalie in V magazine really reminds me that there is not nearly enough Natalie in the world ;)

I presume that VB is headed back home to England to do some work for her fashion line which is prominently featured in the new issue of V magazine. A few different looks from her line are showcased in a photospread inside the new issue but they are not modeled by Vicki B. herself. With her skinny frame, Victoria Beckham is the perfect clothes horse to show off her new dress collection. And with Posh debuting many of her collection herself, it is no surprise that even professional models are seeking to copy Mrs Beckham – but minus the California suntan. The model showcasing her new 9 to 5 Autumn/Winter collection has the right hairstyle, clothes, and is whippet-slim. She even has the Victoria Beckham pout. Her autumn/winter Victoria Beckham Dress Collection has been scoring rave reviews and celebrity fans in the shape of supermodel Elle Macpherson and Katherine Jenkins. Her collection includes the popular £2,095 Carmontelle dress. The cashmere-blend dress has been worn by Victoria in both grey, in west London, and in red to the American Idol auditions in Boston. Supermodel Elle Macpherson, who has snapped up five dresses, has also been spotted in the grey version. Victoria, 35, said her key words for her the new season were ‘modern’, ‘luxury’ and ‘workaday’. V magazine, which showcased the dresses with a lookalike Posh model, described the line as ‘clothing for the chic-est supermoms on earth’.

It’s one thing for VB to wear these clothes but for a robot of a robot to model them is quite another matter … don’t these photos look cold and sterile? Not even the addition of the baby does anything to warm up this photospread. If she really wants to sell these dresses she would prolly be much better served if she put them on models who look like living, breathing women.

This issue of V magazine has been dubbed The Beauty Issue and Cameron was photographed by fashion photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in London. For her spread, Cam rocked Prada shorts and boots and, despite the Jean Paul Gaultier-like look of it, the bra was fashioned by the stylist and made from gaffer tape! To be honest, at quick glance … you can hardly tell it’s Cameron Diaz at all. After the jump, check out a few more photos from this pretty cool V photospread …

I like the subtle nod to Madge (the last photo is deffo an homage to Madonna’s True Blue album coverphoto), I think it’s a very cool look stylistically. Props to Cameron for taking the bold risk to pose this way. I really do like the shoot … do you?

This particular issue of V magazine appears to be a wee bit old … I believe it was published before 90210 debuted last Fall since the accompanying blurb contains erroneous information about one of the characters on the show (refers to “queen bee” Naomi Clark as Naomi Bennett and ends with the reminder that “90210 begins airing on The CW in September 2008″). In any event, it’s a shame that we missed seeing this photo the first time around. We’ve been seeing a lot of the 90210 girls in various magazines but nary a sight of the 90210 lads has been had. I say, more shirtless Dustin! Also, more dudes on the show!

But Beyoncé sheds her tough outer skin to reveal a softer side in a new interview as she begins the exhaustive preparations for her 110-date tour starting next year. “When I’m onstage I’m aggressive and strong and not afraid of my sexuality. The tone of my voice gets different, and I’m fearless. I’m just a different person.” And the name of that different person? Her alter ego, ‘Sasha Fierce’, whose name is the title of the second CD of her new 17-track double album. “It’s a way for me to differentiate what I do onstage from who I really am – It’s a way for me to not lose myself, to keep my life in perspective, because it’s really hard sometimes to stay on earth when you’re a celebrity. There’s so much going on, and so many people give you whatever you want and say everything you do is great. At this point, I kind of have it down. I know boundaries, and I can look at somebody and say I don’t want them in my circle. I’ve been doing this for twelve years professionally, and I’ve learned. it’s easier now. Fame is a lot of work, but it doesn’t consume my life. I’m not obsessed.” The singer tells V Magazine (www.vmagazine.com) that her new tour will be “stripped down, but also bigger” than 2007’s appropriately titled ‘Beyoncé Experience’ … “It’s funny because right before the show I’m under the stage making sure my double-stick is in the right place, my pack is turned on, and my shoes have the stickies on the bottom so I don’t slip – all of these things that are so not glamorous. Then I take my last slip of water, clear my throat, close my eyes, and tell myself: ‘You are fierce. You are fierce. You are fierce!’ And the second I take that first step and hear the crowd, I kind of transform. By the time I get up to the stage, I’m in the zone. It’s like I’m ready for war.”

Okay … I’m not trying to hate but she does sound a little bit crazy here. I mean, I get that she feels she has an alter-ego when she gets on stage but to talk to that alter-ego and name it … and then utter “you are fierce, you are fierce, you are fierce” is a bit odd. You can’t tell from these pics but Beyoncé was rockin’ Barack Obama painted fingernails on two of the magazine covers. The girl may be a bit wacky but you gotta love the Obama lurve. The photos are bit ZZZZZ but don’t tell her that. She’s fierce.
