Plus, check out the other two collectible Entertainment Weekly 'Twilight' coverphotos
The Cast Of ‘Twilight’ Does ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine

The cast of Twilight are featured in the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine in a small but very beautiful photospread. Calling the as-yet unreleased film the “Brideshead Revisited of the Fanged and Forever Young” (a description I find mildly appropriate), the cast got all glammed up for the spread. Here are a few pics of the cast, including the two leads Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, in this month’s issue of Vanity Fair:

I gotta say … I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kristen Stewart look so … pretty! She’s usually so glum and miserable looking … I quite like her when she cleans up. R. Pattz, bless his heart, still looks a bit disheveled but at least he doesn’t look as disheveled as he usually does (and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing). Cam Gigandet looks hot as heck. The end. Click HERE to read the VF Q&As with these young stars of tomorrow.

Yesterday we got to see the first of three Twilight collectible magazine covers for this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly … and today we get to see the other two covers. After the jump, check ‘em out …

One of three 'Twilight' collectible covers
Robert Pattinson Does ‘Entertainment Weekly’

Robert Pattinson, as Edward Cullen, is featured on the cover of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly. Twilighters, take note, R. Pattz‘s cover is one of three collector’s covers that is being published this week. No word on who or what is on the other two covers but I suspect that Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan will prolly have her own cover as well. Here is Rob‘s cover and a portion of the mag’s coverstory:

The last thing the filmmakers behind Twilight want to hear is that their movie is the next Harry Potter. Sure, it occupies the release date once held by the boy wizard. But while the seven-book Potter series has sold 400 million copies and generated $4.5 billion in worldwide box office receipts, Twilight is working off a global fan base that has purchased only 17 million books. ”We’re not even 5 percent of Potter sales. We’re not even a toenail on that body,” says director Catherine Hardwicke. ”Ours is a character film, a little more sophisticated teenage Romeo and Juliet.” But Twilight is likely to be anything but a tragedy for Summit Entertainment, the fledgling studio behind the film … Twilight — a possible four-film franchise — could transform Summit into a real player. To hit it big, though, the vampire romance needs to lure moviegoers beyond the series’ core fans. Teenage boys are an obvious target, and Hardwicke has peppered her film with gravity-defying fight scenes. ”There are action sequences in the book, and as a director, you want to make everything more cinematic,” she says. Early tracking of the movie suggests that tween boys like the Cullen vampires almost as much as girls do. That should help Twilight reach at least a $20 million opening weekend — the number the studio probably needs to please in-house accountants. What it requires to greenlight the sequel, New Moon, is another story. Summit won’t comment, but Hardwicke guesstimates Twilight must gross $150 million for the studio to approve a follow-up, which will require extensive special effects and location shooting. ”This has to be a crazy hit,” she says. ”Nobody can say that it can do that well right now.”

I am pretty confident Twilight will make more than $20 million bucks in its opening weekend. I think it’s wise to downplay how the movie may do before it actually opens (so as not to look foolish down the line) but I predict that the movie will be a big hit. Twilighters strike me as the kind of fans that would go back to see the movie over and over and over again. I’m not worried about the movie’s success at all … unless the filmmakers totally botch the story. Angering said Twilighers would kill the movie faster than a stake thru the heart. Author Stephanie Meyer says she loves the movie so … what more endorsement do they need? Big hit, I’m sure of it. In fact, my guess is that it will be a *dazzling* weekend at the box office come November 21. So my question to all y’all is … Edward gets one of the collectible EW covers and I think it’s a safe assumption to think Bella will get her own cover … but who get’s the third? Is it worth getting all three?

The first single from the official 'Twilight' soundtrack

Here is our first look at the first single and music video from the official soundtrack from the much-anticipated big screen adaption of the book of the same name Twilight. The song is called Decode and is performed by newish kids on the block Paramore:

Folks outside of the US can see this music video HERE. The music video offers a lot of movie scenes are sure to make the rabid Twilight fans happy … I’m not so sure about the song itself but, that’s just my opinion. The song may take a few listens for me to get on board but as far as how the movie looks … well, this video does offer some of the look and feel of how the movie may play out on the big screen. It deffo has the feel of the great Northwest … do y’all think the vid is a good one or can nothing measure up to the amazingness of Twilight overall?

Why so serious?
Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Put On Their Game Faces

A few Twilighters seemed miffed at my joking post yesterday about Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart lookin’ gloomy at the Rome International Film Festival this weekend where they were on hand to promote their new movie Twilight. So, to make up for that egregious offense, here are a couple new photos of the pair posing for promotional portraits shot by Elisabetta A. Villa at the St.Regis Grand Hotel on Halloween in Rome, again, to promote their new movie together:

To their credit, they look very serious and preternatural in these photos … which go well with the tone of their love affair in the movie Twilight. Thus far, we’ve only really seen bits of the couple’s chemistry in the meager commercial spots and trailers that have been made available to us. I’m curious to see exactly how the romantic interplay between Bella (Kristen) and Edward (Robert) plays out over the duration of the film. While I generally enjoyed the books overall, there were portions that I felt were far too schmaltzy … will that still be a problem in the movie or will there be a huge dose of realism added to their interactions? Lest anyone think otherwise, I am really intrigued by this new movie … I’m curious to see how the books will come to life. Even if R. Pattz and K. Stew shun any notion of hair brushing, I deffo think they will be able to bring their beloved characters to life.

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart look thrilled
‘Twilight’ Previews In Rome

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were both on hand at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Italy this weekend for a world premiere preview tease of their new movie Twilight at the 3rd Annual Rome International Film Festival. Altho this was just a preview showing of the Twilight movie at such a prestigious event, neither Robby nor Kristen looked at all interested in even being there:

Actually, Kristen was the one who looked more bored of the two … R. Pattz looked more his usual, disheveled, disinterested self. Altho this preview screening was the first one to take place officially, only these two and their director Catherine Hardwicke decided to come out for the event. I would assume that more castmembers will manage to free up their bizzy schedules to come out and promote their movie in the future. Here’s hoping those folks will look a wee bit more excited/bathed for those premiere events.

Twilighters beware
Robert Pattinson Is A Fur Face

The LA Times is eagerly counting down to the release date of the much-anticipated Twilight movie based on the book of the same name. Robert Pattinson stars as the beauteous vampire Edward in the film and is featured in a new LA Times article that is due for publication on November 2. To tease the article’s release, the Times have released a new photo of Mr. Pattinson with furry facial hair that was snapped earlier this month for the article’s accompanying photospread. Twilight fans might want to brace themselves for the bounteousness ahead … behold:

29 days left … In today’s gift bag we have this exclusive shot of Robert Pattinson taken earlier this month for an upcoming story about “Twilight” in The Times. Publish date: Nov. 2. Write it down.) You’re welcome. I now welcome your thoughts on it. The facial hair, I think, is very un-Edward. (Could Bella’s marble prince even grow facial hair? It seems unlikely). But do we like it just the same? Does it make Robert sexier? More smoldering? Or just too Wolverine? Perhaps he’s sporting the new look in the name of Spunk Ransom’s next Whiskey A Go-Go gig.

I gotta say … I like the facial hair. It’s a nice look on him. While he may be lookin’ more Jacob than Edward in this pic, I think that Pattinson fans will take very kindly to this new photo … yes? What do y’all think of Robert‘s new look?

Incidentally, while shopping at Hot Topic yesterday for Halloween costume ideas I came across an aisle of Twilight merchandise for sale … including this t-shirt:

It should be noted that Hot Topic also offers Team Jacob t-shirts but the store I was at in Burbank, CA was out of stock on those. Click HERE to get your Team Edward shirt, click HERE to get Team Jacob.

Meet Robert the Vampire Player
‘Twilight’ Does ‘Entertainment Weekly’ Magazine

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who star as Edward Cullen and Isabella Swan in the new movie adaptation of the teen vampire novel Twilight by author Stephenie Meyer, are featured on the cover and in the pages of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. While I’ve yet to read any of Meyer‘s Twilight books (even tho I have them stacked on my ever-expanding reading pile) I am very interested in, not only this book series but also the burgeoning movie franchise that is set to hit the big screen later on this year. Here is the artwork for this week’s issue of EW with the Twilight stars on the cover:

I’m not entirely sure why but I’ve been a big fan of vampire lore for pretty much my entire life. It’s pretty obvs that I am a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan but before Buffy I was a big fan of Anne Rice‘s book series The Vampire Chronicles as well as horror movies like ‘Salem’s Lot (which ruined my life for a whole month when I was a young child), Lost Boys and the classic Dracula movies. Even most recently, I became a fan of the ill-fated CBS drama Moonlight. And, not that I’m all that proud to admit it, I may have enjoyed a game or two of the White Wolf role playing game Vampire the Masquarade (perhaps my vampire clan was Brujah, for those in the know) back in the early ’90′s. I’m actually pretty surprised myself that I’ve yet to take on this series of books. I’ve heard only good things about them and am encouraged by EW‘s assertion that the Twilight series are the “hottest books since Harry Potter” (you may recognize Robert Pattinson as the bloke who played Cedric Diggory in the movie version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). I love that new hype is being generated for another series of books aimed at getting kids to read … it’s very heartening to know that kids can get excited about reading! Anyways, I’m looking forward to finding out more about these books before the movie gets released … if any of y’all have read the books, lemme know what you think about them in the comments. Something tells me that my inner Goth may enjoy this Twilight series after all.
