90210 star Trevor Donovan took some time in between takes while filming this week to spend some alonetime cuddling with his adorable puppy Tito. AND as if the mere sight of Trevor smoochin’ up on his cute puppy wasn’t enough to make your fallopian tubes quiver, the guy was shirtless while loving up on his pet pooch. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were joined by their co-stars as well as friends and family at the Hollywood premiere of their new film Green Lantern, which opens in theaters tomorrow. Grauman’s Chinese Theater was the site of last night’s affair and the red black carpet was packed with lots of GL fans. Unfortch, tho, as the release date gets closer, more and more less than favorable reviews keep coming out for the film … which kinda sucks cuz I really want this movie to be awesome. 90210 star Trevor Donovan felt inspired to do a bit of redecorating at his home here in SoCal and he decided that he didn’t need to wear a shirt while doing so. Trevor needed to take some measurements of his balcony before he could hang up his bamboo curtain. It would appear that Trev had a bit of trouble gettin’ the measurements right, which meant that he was on that balcony shirtless for quite a while … which means that he put on quite a show worth watching.

Back in January we learned that Trevor Donovan, who plays Teddy Montogomery on 90210, was getting a new love interest played by actor Alan Ritchson. Last night, on the Spring Break episde of the show, Teddy (Trevor Donovan) ran into Tripp (Alan Ritchson) on holiday and the guys shared a passionate kiss before retiring to a hotel room where they, presumably, did more than just kiss. Back in November, we got to see photos and video of Teddy Montgomery (played by Trevor Donovan) gettin’ all same-sex smoochy with new boyfriend Ian (played by Kyle Riabko) on the CW TV series 90210. Last month, we learned that Teddy will be getting a new boyfriend (played by Freddie Smith) in the second half of the season … but NOT before he hooks up with an even newer dude played by Alan Ritchson (Smallville, Blue Mountain State). Um, for a character who just came out as gay, homeboy is getting a helluva lotta play.

Trevor Donovan‘s character Teddy on 90210 may have shared a same-sex kiss with Kyle Riabko‘s character Ian ONCE or TWICE but the days of Teddy and Ian kissing on the show are about to be over. According to a new report, Riabko is leaving 90210 very soon leaving the role of Teddy‘s love interest wide open … enter actor Freddie Smith and his character Marco:

For someone who’s not even out of the closet, 90210’s resident gay Teddy (Trevor Donovan) sure is seeing a lot of action. On the heels of the wannabe McEnroe’s first man-on-man smooch with current love interest Ian (Kyle Riabko), the increasingly addictive CW soap has cast newcomer Freddie Smith to play Teddy’s super-athletic and friendly new beau Marco. Although a 90210 rep declined to comment, a West Bev insider tells me that [spoiler alert!] Smith is being brought in to fill the void left by Riabko, who is leaving of his own accord. (I’m told Riabko wants to make himself available for the looming pilot season).

Marco is rumored to be making his debut on the show in February, which means that we only have a few more eps to look forward to that will feature the burgeoning romantic relationship between Teddy and Ian. I must say, in terms of Teddy‘s careful coming out, the timing couldn’t be worse. He is finally coming to terms with his homosexuality, he has finally declared his feelings for another guy … and that guy will soon be out of the picture. I’m glad to hear that the 90210 bosses already have another guy lined up to play Teddy‘s love interest but … dang … I have really been enjoying the growing relationship between Teddy and Ian. Ah well … love can be a fragile thing. I’m very glad that producers plan to keep featuring same-sex love relationships on the show … it’s one of the many things I love about watching 90210.

Last week we FINALLY got to see Trevor Donovan‘s 90210 character Teddy kiss Kyle Riabko‘s character Ian for the first time since Teddy‘s coming out story arc began on the show earlier this season. Last night, 90210 gave us another kiss from these two characters in a scene that was so adorably sweet I could barely contain myself:

Altho 98% of the episode dealt with EVERYONE ELSE except Teddy and Ian, the 2% of the couple that we got to see was way worth watching. Early in the ep, Teddy confessed to Ian that he is not yet ready to come out of the closet despite his feelings and Ian shut him down immediately, telling Teddy that he is not willing to go back in the close for anyone. At the end of the ep, after a couple other heterosexual couples shared kisses of their own — Teddy managed to explain himself better to Ian, explained that he just needs a little more time to come to terms with his sexuality and, well, Ian went in for a couple of very sweet kisses. After learning earlier in the year that 90210 would be introducing a gay storyline on the show, we learned back in August that actor Trevor Donovan (Teddy) would be the character gifted with the gay storyline. Actor/singer Kyle Riabko (Ian) was added to the cast as Teddy‘s love interest but, as those of you who have been watching the show all season know, Teddy‘s coming out has been a very long, very slow process. Last night, finally, Teddy came to his senses and realized that he has feelings for Ian … and the two shared their first kiss together:

Finally! After spending the last three months slow-burning the “Teddy likes boys” storyline, we finally got the goods on 90210. And it was kind of hot, right? And, better yet, the big moment wasn’t hyped to death, so we also got a bit of a surprise when Teddy grabbed Ian — the classmate he hooked-up with (off-screen) during a blackout at the start of the season — and planted a big ol’ sloppy on the kid while they were cleaning up after a West Bev luau. How’s that for putting the “man” in manual labor? The build-up, of course, has been the fun of Season 3 … Proving to be more than a human Ken doll, Trevor Donovan’s doing a solid job playing golden-boy Teddy’s confusion, denial and fear. Not that he should be too worried about his friends’ reactions. Ade was gay for a hot minute last season and this isn’t 1950. Or the military. Anyway, it looks like blondie’s gonna have to deal with all of that sooner rather than later now that he’s gone and cracked the lock on his closet door. Those kinds of secrets tend to come out faster than, well, Teddy has, around these parts. Plus, February sweeps is just around the bend. So really, the only question is who might have a problem with Teddy’s true identity? Liam could use a better plot. Or maybe we’ll see the ugly side of some of the grownups.

For the most part, I’ve been very happy with the way 90210 has handled Teddy‘s coming out story. I’ve been watching all season long and while his coming out has taken some time, I honestly feel the show is trying to give the viewer a realistic view of someone coming to terms with their homosexuality. No one ever just comes out as gay overnight. The feelings that come along with the realization and acceptance of one’s sexuality can be a very long, confusing and sometimes painful process. For some, it can take years to come out as gay … for others, it can take a lifetime. 90210 has done a great job with Teddy‘s storyline thus far, I am really looking forward to seeing how it continues to play out.
