Early last month we got our first peek at the tracklisting for Tori Amos‘s upcoming new album Night of Hunters. Today we get to see a few new promo photos that have been released to promote the disc’s release next month. The photos were shot by a photographer named Victor de Mello and they seem thematically tied together, even tho they are different from one another. The amazing fansite Undented has uncovered some new deets about Night of Hunters, including which musicians will appear on the album. Among the guest artists featured is Tori‘s daughter Natashya Lórien. Click below to see the photos and read the deets.

On Monday we learned that Tori Amos released the first US tourdates of her upcoming Night of Hunters Tour in support of the release of her new album of the same name. Today we learn, via Undented, that the tracklist for Hunters may have inadvertently been posted online. I don’t think the tracklist is a big secret but it has not yet been officially unveiled so … we can’t be 100% sure of this leaked list’s authenticity. A few weeks ago I posted some information about a rumor going around about the possible release of a new Tori Amos album (reportedly titled Reckless Night). Yesterday afternoon, the news was confirmed officially … Tori IS releasing a new album in September but it will be titled Night of Hunters. In a surprising move, the new album will be released on Deutsche Grammophon — a classical music record label. In fact, the entire album is inspired by classical music and will focus on the themes of the hunter and the hunted, as described by Tori herself. Heads up, Tori Amos fans … there is a new rumor going around that Tori Amos is planning to release a new album very soon … at some point this year. According to a new report, Tori‘s new album is rumored to be titled Reckless Night (tho, others claim it may be titled Restless Night). Additionally, new information about Tori‘s musical The Light Princess (which she has been working on for a few years, scheduled for a 2012 release) has been revealed. It sounds like we are about to get a whole lotta Tori music very soon!

Today is the 15th anniversary of the release of Tori Amos‘s masterpiece third album Boys For Pele. For you Tori Amos fans — excuse me Ears With Feet — out there, you know know what an important and seminal album Boys For Pele is … so I think it’s worth taking a few minutes today to celebrate the 15th year of the album’s release.

David and I enjoyed another quiet night at home last night, only venturing out for a couple of hours to grab some food together. Things have been relatively quiet around the ol’ homestead and, in all honestly, that’s just fine by me. There is something to be said about kicking back and just chillin’ out for a few days. I’ve been able to build up my meager vinyl collection (newly rejuvenated by my Xmas gift this year) and I spent some of my evening getting reacquainted with some of my fave records of all time.

Much, much Birthday Lurve goes out to the GODDESS Tori Amos who is celebrating 47 years young today. As some of you may be well aware, I’ve been a big Tori Amos fan for eons and it is my extreme pleasure wish her the happiest of birthdays today:

I was extremely fortunate to be able to celebrate my birthday last month with my best friend Sarah at the Tori Amos concert in Paris, France … which, I must tell you, is the most amazing way to celebrate one’s birthday. It is my hope that Tori is surrounded by family, loved ones and friends today in celebration of another year of life. Tori Amos is a truly special woman and I wish her all the happiness in the world along with many, many, many healthy years and birthdays to come! Happy, Happy Birthday Tori … Woot!

Last night Sarah and I had the great pleasure of attending Tori Amos‘s sole Paris, France concert this year at L’Olympia. As some of you may know, last night’s Tori show was the reason my impromptu birthday trip to Paris even came to be … and it was worth the trip from LA to Paris just to see her perform:
