Agent Coulson, the Marvel Comics character played by Clark Gregg in Iron Man, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger and in the upcoming superhero film The Avengers, is featured in a short film all his own on the new Captain America DVD release. Like Batman in the DC Comics universe, Coulson is a superhero that manages to kick ass without having any superpowers, alongside other superpowered characters. After spending much of the day yesterday indoors, I met up with Darion, Sebastian and their friend Angelique for an evening showing of Thor. Even tho I saw the film last Tuesday, I was anxious to see it again … and going with Darion and Seb was an offer I just couldn’t pass up. I have to say, Thor was just as good the second time around … I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I saw it :D

As I mentioned earlier, David and I were lucky enough to see an early screening of the year’s FIRST Summer blockbuster film Thor here in LA last night and I am happy to report that I really loved the film. Forget for a minute that Thor is a really exciting action movie, what I loved most about the film was the story and the direction. Yes, folks, this is a superhero film worth seeing for cinematic reasons rather than merely FX and explosions.

Thank the GODS … we are SO close to the release of the first big superhero blockbuster film of the year with Thor‘s opening this Friday. But last night, at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the celebs came out for the Hollywood premiere of the film. While Thor celebrated its world wide premiere in Sydney, Australia (star Chris Hemsworth‘s hometown) last month, the big shindig was saved for Tinsel Town. Back in February we got to see an adorable Volkswagen commercial that debuted during the Super Bowl that featured a little Darth Vader running around his house using “the force”. Today we get to see a new commercial from Marvel Comics that features a cute little Thor running around his house using his magic hammer. The commercials are very much the same … but with one exception. Check out the little Thor clip below.

Actors Chris Hemsworth, Jaimie Alexander and Tom Hiddleston joined director Kenneth Branagh and others for the world premiere of their new Summer blockbuster film Thor down under in Sydney, Australia tonight (last night for us here on this side of the world). As you should be well aware, Thor is the big screen adaption of the long-running Marvel Comics series set to open here in the US early next month … but Oz was the first country to get the first look at the film. Thor hottie Chris Hemsworth, who is featured on the cover and in the pages of this weekend’s issue of USA Weekend along side Captain America star Chris Evans, made his way to Madrid, Spain today to appear at a photocall at Hotel Santo Mauro to promote his new film. Basically, it was an event where members of the media were invited to take pictures of Hemsworth standing around, lookin’ hot. Check out some of those photos below.

Paramount Pictures has released a new clip from the upcoming superhero film Thor, due out in May, that isn’t really a trailer per se … it’s just about a minute of footage from the film. The clip is quite humorous, especially the way it ends. Check it out in full below.
