‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Premieres In London

Yesterday we saw photos of the Twilight TrinityTaylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart — at a photocall/premiere screening event in Paris, France and earlier today we saw some suspicious hand-holding photos of R. Pattz and K. Stew as they walked an airport tarmac … but now we get to see some photos from the UK premiere screening event which took place there today:

This event looks a bit more fan-friendly than the one held in Paris yesterday … not only did the cast walk down the red carpet amidst rabid fans but they also stopped to sign a few autographs and take a few photos. After the jump, check out photos of these three pressing the flesh with some lucky UK Twilight fans …

‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Premieres In Paris

Yesterday we saw photos of the Twilight gang — Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewartmaking their departure from LA at LAX Airport. I assumed that the castmates would be splitting up in order to spread the promo duties among them at different locales around the country … it turns out that that assumption was wrong. The Twilight Trinity made their way en mass to Paris, France to appear at a photocall/screening event for The Twilight Saga: New Moon at the Hôtel de Crillon:

I understand that the film screened at a premiere for a few very lucky Parisians … and were blessed with the presence of the Twilight Trinity to boot … imagine that! The regular common folk also got to catch a glimpse of the actors as they stepped out onto the balcony to wave to the peons below. After the jump, check out a couple photos of R. Pattz, K. Stew and Tay Tay waving to their fans from the Hôtel de Crillon balcony after their photocall/screening event …

And away they go ...
‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Kicks Off Mall Tour In Hollywood

And so it begins … the principal cast of The Twilight Saga: New Moon were on hand for an in-store appearance at the Hollywood & Highland Complex here in Hollywood, CA to kick off a nationwide mall tour that will take various members of the cast in various incarnations to malls around the US so that fans can press the flesh with their fave Twilight stars … and to hear live music from bands like Deathcab For Cutie, Anya Marina, Band of Skulls and more. A horde of rabid Twilighters filled the open-air mall last night just to get as close to Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz and Kristen Stewart as possible … behold:

The scene was electric outside of Los Angeles’ Hollywood & Highland open-air mall on Friday evening. A huge line snaked out into the streets, and much of the crowd looked strikingly similar: gaggles of teenage girls (plus guys, moms, dads, and little ones) in black T-shirts emblazoned with five key words: The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Awaiting them inside? Autographs and a Q&A with the film’s supporting cast, plus courtyard performances from four bands who contributed to New Moon’s excellent soundtrack: Band Of Skulls, Sea Wolf, Anya Marina and, to close it out, Death Cab For Cutie. In other words, this was the Hot Topic-sponsored New Moon mall tour. One of the first fans to the stage screamed to no one in particular, “Oh my God! This is the coolest thing ever!” And for the crowd that braved the odds to get there – camping out at the mall on Halloween eve to buy the shirt that would grant them their entrance – it truly seemed to be. The coolness began when Twilight heartthrobs Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner paid a surprise visit. On stage, opening with their bluesy “I Know What I Am,” U.K. three-piece Band Of Skulls burned through a set that ran just shy of 20 minutes and channeled bits of the White Stripes, Black Sabbath, and the Black Keys. An apropos performance of “Hollywood Bowl” prefaced the closing song – their garagey New Moon contribution, “Friends,” which was met with squeals at an octave previously reserved for the likes of the Beatles. Indie folk-poppers Sea Wolf followed, delivering a cello-swathed selection of songs whose titles were matched to the event: “You’re A Wolf,” from 2007′s Leaves In The River, “Turn The Dirt Over” and “Wicked Blood,” both off of the just-released White Water, White Bloom, and the at once bouncy and autumnal soundtrack piece “The Violet Hour.” Both were impressive, but Anya Marina, whose “Satellite Heart” is one of New Moon’s most captivating moments, stole the show. “What’s up Hollywood? Are you guys having fun?” the grinning singer asked to a chorus of shrieks. “Well, we want to have fun with you.” She meant it. Marina was the only musician to engage the exuberant crowd – at one point leading them in a “Team Jacob” vs. “Team Edward” cheer-off – and it paid off. Her ubiquitous hits “Vertigo” and “All The Same To Me” were extremely well-received. Another surprise, mostly lost on the audience, was regular Morrissey collaborator Alain Whyte manning guitar, especially shredding on “Afterparty At Jimmy’s.” At the other end of the spectrum, Death Cab For Cutie greeted the incredible mania with zero banter and two songs – New Moon single “Meet Me At The Equinox” and Narrow Stairs highlight “Cath…” – well-performed, but over far too soon. The band said their thanks, unplugged and walked off. Before the ensuing melee caused by the rush to see Pattinson and Stewart up close, we asked one fan if she had a favorite band on the soundtrack. “I don’t really listen to this kind of music,” said Carmina, backed by an army of self-described “Twi-tards.” “But I like it now!”

Not since Tiffany took the US by storm with her mall tour back in 1987 have mall tours been this hot. To be honest, anything attached to The Twilight Saga franchise will generate huge interest … you throw in the actors themselves and you could sell anything at a high premium. Lord, this is just the beginning of the fervent Twilight melee that is about to be unleashed upon the world. The Twilight Saga: New Moon opens in theaters in just a few weeks … I don’t know that we’re quite ready to handle the onslaught … but it’s comin’ nonetheless.

Kristen Stewart & Taylor Launter Promote ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ In Mexico

Earlier today we saw photos of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine … now we get to see K. Stew with her other Twilight co-star Taylor Launter promoting The Twilight Saga: New Moon at a photocall press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City, Mexico yesterday afternoon:

Yeah, there is a decidedly different feel to this set of photos as opposed to the photos of Kristen and Rob in HB mag. Kristen is back to rockin’ the tom boy look in these pics … plus, you can feel that she and Taylor are just friends. These Twilight kids have a lot of promo left to do in the coming weeks … this is only just the beginning. I wonder where they’re off to next.

Watch: Edward Vs. The Volturi In ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’

We are mere weeks away from the theatrical release of the much anticipated sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon (the film has already begun its worldwide premiere promo tour) but Yahoo! gives us a sneak peek at a scene from the film to whet your appetites as we await the film’s release. In a vid clip made available here, we see Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) taking on the Volturi vampires as they threaten to harm his beloved Bella Swan:

It looks like Edward Cullen just can’t catch a break. After his being attacked by Jacob, New Moon’s resident heartthrob – played by Robert Pattinson – now has to defend his mortal beloved from the vampire world’s ruling elders, the Volturi. In a new clip on Yahoo.com, Edward, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Alice (Ashley Greene) face the wrath of elders Aro, Caius and Marcus, played by New Moon newcomers Michael Sheen, Jamie Campbell Bower and Christopher Heyerdahl. “She knows too much, she’s a liability,” warns Caius, signaling Aro to send the Volturi guard into action. As Demetri (Charlie Bewley) restrains Alice, grabbing her by the neck, Edward pounces on Felix (Daniel Cudmore). But no match for the ancient vamp’s strength, he is sent hurtling through the air. Felix then reaches up and slams Edward into the ground, cracking the floor beneath him and his cheek! The fight moves on to the big screen, when New Moon opens on Nov. 20.

The clip, tho short, is very exciting … I mean … just look at the facial expressions in the screencaps above! After the jump, check out the clip in full and see for yourselves …

And so ... it begins
‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Screens In Rome

The first of many premieres for the much-anticipated sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon took place in Rome, Italy yesterday as part of the 4th Rome International Film Festival. Unfortch for the folks at yesterday’s premiere screening, the event was very lacking in Twilight stars … none of the main castmembers were in attendance … all they got was Cameron Bright, Jamie Campbell Bower (two lowly members of the Volturi) and a host of nobodies dressed in corny-lookin’ Renaissance Fair costumes:

With nary a Cullen or werewolf character in attendance, it wasn’t much of a Twilight event … but it was the first premiere for the film and there will be many, many more to come … in various countries … with various castmembers in attendance. We’re just about a month away from the film’s release and the promo push for the movie is now officially underway. Let the Twilight onslaught commence!

‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Releases A New Sneak Preview Clip

A new preview video clip from the upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been unleashed onto the Internets and, lo and behold, it’s a sneak preview clip that is introduced by Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner:

The folks that are promoting this film really know how to play to their audience … Taylor‘s character Jacob Black, in all his shirtlessness, is arguably the star of The Twilight Saga: New Moon so they are using him every chance they get to hype the film. Hello, it’s working. Here are a few screencaps from this new preview clip from the film:

Uh oh … it looks like Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) is gettin’ all huffy with some of the half-nekkid boys … exciting, no? After the jump, check out this video clip in full and see what the hub-bub is all about …

‘People’ Magazine To Release A Special ‘New Moon’ Issue Of Their Mag

Good news for all the rabid Twilighters out there … People magazine has announced that it will be publishing a special edition issue of their magazine devoted ENTIRELY to the upcoming new sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon which hits theaters next month. The issue, which hits newesstands on Friday, promises that this issue is one collector’s item that any self-respecting Twilight fan can’t live without. Here is what the cover of this special issue looks like:

In PEOPLE’s special New Moon issue, which hits newsstands Friday, Robert Pattinson shares his baby photos, Taylor Lautner growls for fans and Kristen Stewart gets intense. “Twilight is about first love; New Moon is about heartbreak,” says the film’s director Chris Weitz. “That requires the actors to go to some very dark places.” But who was the most intense on set? “Kristen may be the most serious actor I’ve ever encountered,” Weitz reveals. “She took the job of portraying Bella’s depression very seriously.” In the sequel, Bella (Stewart) turns to best bud Jacob (Lautner) after her vampire love Edward (Pattinson) flees Forks, Wash., in the hopes of giving her a normal life. But as Bella grapples with her not-so-platonic feelings for Jacob, he transforms into a werewolf. “This is a severely emotional movie,” Stewart says. But it’s not all about the drama. “It’s a pretty hot movie,” says Ashley Greene, who thinks Stewart and Lautner “have this undeniable chemistry.” “I get nervous trying to represent Team Jacob in the right way,” Lautner admits. “This guy [Pattinson] is some pretty good competition.” “Fans ask me to growl for them, and I really don’t enjoy doing that,” the 17-year-old star says. “Please just wait for the movie.” The supernatural romance unfolds on the big screen Nov. 20.

Baby photos? In depth interviews? Never-before-seen movie photos? Oh yeah … I’m sure this issue will sell very well among Twilight fans. BUT … the Twilighty goodness doesn’t end there … this special issue of People magazine will also feature our FIRST LOOK at a scene from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!!!! Say what??? After the jump, check out the new promo photo that gives us our first look at the third Twilight film (currently in production) Eclipse

The Cullens vs. The Volturi vs. The Werewolves
‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Releases 3 New Posters

Here are a few new posters for The Twilight Saga: New Moon which, IMHO, are the best of the promo photos to be released thus far. In each of the 3 new posters, an integral group featured in the saga is represented … and, to be honest, they all look very cool. First up, here is the poster that features the Cullen family:

Okay, the poster is a bit cheesy but I love the Harlequin Romanceness of Bella Swan‘s windswept hair … and Jasper Cullen‘s crazy eye is awesome ;) After the jump, check out the posters that feature the Volturi vamps (ie. the bad guys) and the poster featuring the Werewolves …
