Jennifer Lopez, the popstar turned American Idol judge who has been dating the much younger Casper Smart since she decided to end her marriage to Marc Anthony, paid a visit to The Today Show today to give a promo interview. Among the projects she is promoting is a reality TV series (Q’Viva! The Chosen) that she is working on with her soon-to-be ex-husband Marc Anthony. J. Lo was asked if she has any plans to marry her new lover Casper Smart and she was also asked about the current state of her relationship with business partner/ex-hubby Marc. Back in October, E! News host Giuliana Rancic revealed on The Today Show that medical tests found the early stages of cancer in her body. At the time, she shared the personal decision to have the cancerous lumps removed from her body. Today, Giuliana and hubby Bill Rancic returned to The Today Show to give an update. Sadly, the lumpectomy failed to get all of the cancer out of her body and Giuliana made the brave decision to have a double mastectomy in order to ensure that her body is cancer-free. After hosting what has been called the “worst Academy Awards” of all time, Anne Hathaway appeared on The Today Show earlier today to open up about the tough criticism she faced as the youngest Oscar host in history. Anne was on the show to promote her new animated film Rio and when the topic turned to the skewering she and co-host James Franco received for their Oscars hosting duties, she was very frank about how difficult the harsh criticism has been for her.

The Charlie Sheen crazy media train is stormed thru Hollywood full steam ahead. Yesterday we got a sneak peek at an upcoming interview Sheen did with ABC News that is set to air tomorrow night … but The Today Show, on NBC, seems to have scored an exclusive of their own in order to capitalize on Sheen‘s insanity today rather than waiting for tomorrow. A reporter from The Today Show interviewed Charlie in his home yesterday and aired part 1 of their interview with him (in two segments) this morning. In the first segment, Sheen insists that he will require $3 million an episode to return to Two and A Half Men for season 9 (or 10). In the second segment, he really lets his crazy flag fly … it’s video you have to see to believe.

Dina Lohan, mother of the currently rehabbing Lindsay Lohan who enjoyed a visit with her estranged father over the weekend, made an appearance on The Today Show on NBC earlier today to give a follow-up interview from the last time she appeared on The Today Show to talk about the last time Lindsay was in rehab. As you can imagine, Dina‘s interview was pretty bad but, in all honesty, it wasn’t as horrendous as the interview she did back in August. There was a wide range of topics discusses in this interview, including Dina‘s assertion that Lindsay hopes to one day open a rehab center of her own for troubled youth:

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan plans to open her own rehab facilities once she’s completed her drug treatment, according to her mother DINA. The 24-year-old Mean Girls star is currently serving three months at the Betty Ford Clinic in California after failing two mandatory drug tests in September and violating her probation. But the stint is working wonders for Lohan and, during an appearance on America’s The Today Show on Monday, her mum hailed the treatment as a “life-changing” experience for her daughter. It is Lohan’s fifth time in rehab. And the matriarch revealed the actress wants to found her own facility upon her release in January to benefit at-risk children. Dina Lohan said: “She wants to start her own facilities, help other children. She’s so public, we can only be positive and look to the future to help other families.”

This is absolutely the biggest bunch of bullshizz I have ever heard in my life. The idea that Lindsay Lohan would EVER have anything to do with the successful rehabilitation of anyone is beyond comical … it’s actually more delusional than anything else. It’s as if Dina Lohan is physically incapable of saying anything worth listening to. I can’t even … I mean … INSANITY! Yay!!! At last … Mariah Carey has officially confirmed what pretty much everyone on Earth was sure of … she and hubby Nick Cannon are PREGS with their first child! Mr. & Mrs. Cannon officially broke the news to Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush on The Today Show earlier today. While the couple are extremely thrilled to be expecting their first child together now, their happiness wasn’t always so … when pregnancy rumors first started for the couple 2 years ago, Mimi sadly reveals that she had a miscarriage a month after she first discovered she was pregnant. But, that sadness is gone now, cuz Mariah and Nick are officially expecting their first child together:

“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true,” Carey, 41, said on the Today show Thursday morning as part of a sneak peek at a three-part Access Hollywood interview. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.” Husband Nick Cannon, 30, joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.” Carey, who also told of a miscarriage two years ago, would not reveal her due date. She would only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.” Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.” The news, of course, won’t surprise those who have followed the couple’s coy references to pregnancy and babies over the past few months. Rumors flew as the expanding singer seemed to bloom a little more every week, and both Cannon and Carey have spoken about their desire for children. In August, Carey fanned the flames by stepping out in Brazil wearing a maternity dress. She quickly addressed the ensuing frenzy, explaining she is “superstitious” about pregnancy and promising, “When the time is right, everyone will know.” Days later, Cannon gushed about his wife’s motherly instincts, telling PEOPLE that “she’s very nurturing.” But not until now have they admitted they’re soon to welcome their own bundle of joy. Now that the news is out, people will clamor to know the sex of the child. The couple wouldn’t say yet, but eventually Carey will cave, because she loves to decorate.

You may recall that Thandie Newton inadvertently spilled the beans about Mariah‘s pregnancy on yesterday’s episode of The View … but now that we’ve learned the HAPPY HAPPY NEWS straight from Mimi‘s mouth, we can officially offer our congratulations and love to the happy family. This is just the best news ever … even tho we all pretty much knew she was pregs, it’s so exciting to hear the news from Mimi … especially when we see the elation on her face. Sandra Bullock appeared on The Today Show earlier today in her first televised interview since all of the drama surrounding her scumbag of an ex-husband came to light. To mark the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Sandra sat down with Matt Lauer in her new hometown New Orleans to talk about a new school she is working with there … as well as the adoption of her precious baby boy Louis Bardo. Here are a few screencaps from Sandra‘s Today Show interview and some deets she shared about her baby boy Louis:

Even after going through an arduous adoption and highly public divorce, Sandra Bullock says hardships like those happen for a reason. “I think everything works out the way the universe wants it to work out,” the Oscar winner, 46, says during a Today show interview [which aired] Tuesday. Furthermore, baby Louis seemed to have had a place in the Bullock family even before he arrived. “We don’t have any boys in our family. Boy, is everyone really happy about that. So he’s like the crown prince,” Bullock tells Matt Lauer during a sit-down interview in Louis’s hometown of New Orleans, where she marked the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. “It was just the hierarchy that needed to be broken.” Reflecting on the “long, long process” of officially adopting the baby – whom she calls her “little Cajun cookie” – Bullock says the now 7-month-old “was always mine. It wasn’t like I felt someone was going to take him away. But it was nice to have someone say, ‘I think you’re a fit parent.’ ” As for how she kept the adoption a secret, Bullock credits her friends and family who “are filled [with] massive amounts of integrity” and who, even when things get bad, are “still the same friends.” But after having suffered a betrayal, Bullock warns she won’t tolerate a backstabbing pal. As she quips, “They know if they screw up they’re not coming on the next vacation. I’m not going to babysit their kids. I will cut them. I will take them down.”

Dina Lohan, the mother of Lindsay Lohan who never met a camera she didn’t like, was a featured guest this morning on The Today Show where she was invited to talk about her daughter’s current legal woes, including her current 90 day stint in court-ordered rehab. Dina, being Dina, seemed thrilled at the opportunity to appear on national television. In her interview, a very scattered Dina tried to deflect the pointed questions asked of her by Matt Lauer and instead seemed only interested in talking about how Judge Marsha Revel recused herself as the judge in Lindsay’s case … as if blaming the judge was enough to negate all of Lindsay‘s crimes and her substance abuse addiction. Dina Lohan is a piece of work, I’ll tell you that. Here are a few screencaps from Dina‘s appearance on The Today Show and some deets about what she said:

An argumentative Dina Lohan – placing the blame on the judge no longer on the case and staunchly defending the behavior of her daughter Lindsay Lohan – appeared on Friday’s Today show, declaring there was nothing wrong with her child. “I’m not condoning drinking and driving, but she’s still paying the price for what she did in 2007,” said an often-agitated Dina, 47, referring to Lindsay’s two DUI cases from three years ago. As for Lindsay, 24, today, “She’s changed,” says her mother. “She’s grown up considerably.” Asked what accounted for this change, Dina told Today’s Matt Lauer, “Age. Living life. Knowing life. Growing up.” For now Lindsay is in inpatient treatment, but the District Attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison told PEOPLE Thursday she may get released “earlier than the 90 days” ordered. “It’s up to the judge to amend the court order or to send her to a new program. There are no standing court dates in Lohan’s case. There would have to be a hearing first to amend the judge’s orders,” Robison explained. Repeatedly accusing Judge Marsha Revel of “going overboard” and “playing hardball” by ordering Lindsay to jail for 90 days (she served 13) and into rehab, Dina said that information will be coming out next week showing that the jurist had to remove herself from the case before she was about to be fired. Defending Lindsay, who was at the Cannes Film Festival when she was expected in court in Los Angeles for a progress review, Dina said, “She was in [jail] for just missing a couple of classes and was working at the time.” In addition, Dina noted, by Lindsay’s being behind bars, “She missed driving classes.” The actress also came into personal contact with murderers, said her mother, adding, “She made friends with them.” Pressed about her daughter’s problems, Dina said, “That’s all propaganda,” and called tabloid coverage of Lindsay “pre-orchestrated. You’re reading things that are not based on fact.” Unlike Julia Roberts and other stars, said Dina, Lindsay’s behavior is unfairly scrutinized. “Her life is magnified. Her life is under a microscope … Lindsay doesn’t realize a lot of people are watching her.” Asked if she’s been there for her daughter – after a visibly frustrated Lauer first suggested that Dina, ex-husband Michael Lohan and Lindsay’s friends “have done nothing to help Lindsay” – Dina said that part of a parent’s responsibility is to grant a child her freedom. “When she was 19 and went out to Los Angeles,” said Dina, “I had to let her go.” Moving forward, however, Dina said Lindsay will be coming home to New York. For now, in rehab, “She’s great,” said Dina. “She’s been through a lot.”

For most of her young life, Lindsay Lohan has tried to blame other people for her crimes and mistakes … and it it plainly evident now where she learned such destructive behavior. Not once did Dina try to suggest that her daughter, convicted in 2007 for drunk driving, is at all responsible for her crimes. Not once did Dina even look concerned that her self-admitted substance-addicted daughter was going to be released early from a medical facility charged with saving her life … on the contrary, Dina seemed thrilled that her daughter might be released early. It is my humble opinion that Dina Lohan‘s enabling behavior may lead to her daughter’s ultimate destruction … it just grosses me out ENTIRELY. Okay … now this story has to be the most amazing, yet totally unbelievable, story you’ll hear for quite a while … because when I first heard it, I didn’t even believe it was true. Yesterday, after a reported 28 years in the airline industry, a JetBlue flight attendant named Steven Slater decided that enough was enough and quit his job in grand style. Apparently, Slater was fed up with the way the passengers on his particular flight yesterday were treating him and he decided to walk off the job … by inflating the emergency slide off the airplane and jumping off the plane upon landing. Did I mention that Slater cracked open a beer before he ejected himself from the plane THEN went straight home to have sex with his boyfriend until the police showed up to arrest him? Yeah, I think this guy is my new hero. Here is what the usually mild-mannered Steven Slater looks like and some deets from his very dramatic day yesterday:

Oh, chute, he’s in trouble now. A JetBlue flight attendant lost his cool after his plane landed at JFK yesterday, hurled obscenities at passengers over the airliner’s PA system — then deployed the inflatable emergency chute, slid down and fled, authorities said. Attendant-turned-wing-nut Steven Slater’s meltdown was preceded by an argument with a passenger who had told the 39-year-old airline employee from Queens “to fuck off” after Slater asked him not to remove his baggage from the overhead compartment until the plane had fully stopped, sources said. The passenger wound up opening his overhead compartment anyway — striking the seething Slater on the head with the door as it dropped down. After the plane, which arrived from Pittsburgh, pulled up to Gate 3 at the JetBlue terminal and the Jetway was put in place, passengers began moving to the door. Suddenly, Slater … commandeered the public-address system and launched into a tirade, officials said. “To the fucking asshole that told me to fuck off, it’s been a good 28 years!” Slater bellowed incoherently, according to law-enforcement sources. But that wasn’t the end of it. In a move fitting for an action flick, Slater then grabbed his two bags — and a can of beer from the galley — and popped the lever for the airliner’s inflatable chute before sliding to the tarmac outside the terminal door. The plane’s first officer, Scott Bienz — who had heard Slater’s rant from a restroom — told investigators that he tried to block the enraged flight attendant from getting to the emergency chute, but was unable to hold him back. Slater, asked later by incredulous investigators if he actually grabbed his luggage before fleeing, coolly responded: “Oh, yes. I threw the bags onto the chute. Then I slid down after them,” sources told The Post. About 100 passengers were aboard the Embraer 190 aircraft at the time. Once on the tarmac, Slater boarded the AirTrain to pick up his silver Jeep Wrangler and raced home to Belle Harbor, where he hopped into bed with his boyfriend, a source said. Cops nabbed him at home. He was charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment. Passenger Phil Catelinet said the flight was unremarkable — until Slater went bonkers. “I’ve had it!” he said Slater shouted over the loudspeaker, according to Catelinet’s blog.

According to Slater‘s My Space profile, he has been dealing with alcoholism for a few years … it sounds like he may have fallen off the wagon again. And to be clear, I’m not really advocating breaking Federal Aviation Laws but if you’re gonna quit your job in the airline industry, this is the way to do it. Slater looked calm and peaceful when he was arrested yesterday (prolly because he had just released what little stress he had left after his dramatic airplane exit by enjoying a bit of boots knockin’ with his boyfriend) …

… and will, likely, never work in the airline industry again. I’m guessing he may have a future on TV, tho.
