Josh Hutcherson, one of the principal stars of the upcoming big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games, paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to promote his new film Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Altho his Ellen appearance was mostly to promote Journey, he did a bit of promo work for The Hunger Games as well. Earlier this month, Mario Lopez HAPPILY showed off his Rated M new underwear line in the pages of The Advocate magazine. Yesterday, Mario happily showed off his undies on national television on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Now, don’t get me wrong … the photos we saw of Lopez in The Advocate were VERY nice to see … but there’s something to be said for watching the man strip off his clothes ON TV. As you can see in the clip below, Ellen helpfully aided Mario in the removal of his clothes so that he could show off his Rated M underwear (and his abs) to her audience. I mean, c’mon … you know you wanna see.

One day after Heidi Klum and Seal officially confirmed that they are separating after 7 years of marriage, Seal made the promo rounds on TV to promote the release of his upcoming album Soul 2. As I understand it, Seal‘s televised promo events were scheduled for weeks before news of his split from Heidi was known … but he decided to keep his commitments and promote his new album. Not only did Paris share with Ellen‘s audience some advice that she got from her father but she also announced publicly that she is going into acting! After an entire lifetime (up until this point) of strict protection from the public eye, it sounds like Paris Jackson is ready to step into the limelight to seek her own fame. Back in August, right around her first wedding anniversary with hockey-playing hubby Mike Comrie, Hilary Duff announced that she is pregnant with her first child. This week, Hilary paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and she actually revealed on air the gender of her incubating baby … but the episode won’t air until Monday October 17. In an effort to promote the upcoming season premiere of Two and a Half Men — with Ashton Kutcher in the lead role — Ellen DeGeneres got Kutcher to appear on the season premiere of her talk show The Ellen DeGenres Show. Two weeks ago we saw some shocking photos of little Suri Holmes-Cruise, the only begotten daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, holding in her hands a box of gummi candies that were penis-shaped. Suri was in possession of the racy candies while in the arms of her mother who, admittedly, didn’t seem to be paying much attention. Tomorrow, Katie Holmes will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new TV miniseries The Kennedys and she addresses the penis candy issue. According to Katie, she thought the penis candies were actually Swedish Fish. Apparently, Katie doesn’t know what a penis looks like.

Ellen DeGeneres played short snippets (really short snippets) from Britney Spears new album Femme Fatale on her show today and teased that our dear Britney will appear on her show next week. It turns out that Britney will, in fact, guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Tuesday … the very day that her album is released in stores. Glee star Chord Overstreet paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to chat with Ellen a bit about his show and whatnot and got inspired mid-interview to take off his pants to show off his underwear. Yesterday we learned that Ellen DeGeneres turned 53 years old and today we get to see how she celebrated her birthday. For her birthday episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday, Ellen was treated to surprise guest appearances by actors Julia Roberts and Colin Farrell, of course there was a big cake and a lot of music. IMHO, the best gift she got was a birthday serenade from her wife Portia de Rossi who sang Happy Birthday in the style of Marilyn Monroe.
