The next season of Gossip Girl is going to be two Gossip girls lighter because today we are learning that actresses Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr have been dropped as series regulars. Taylor and Jessica‘s characters — Jenny Humphrey and Vanessa Abrams, respectively — have pretty much been M.I.A. all season long this year so it’s not a big surprise that they are being cut from the show. Read on for all the reported deets of the ladies’ exit from the show.

Yesterday it was announced that famed music mogul Antonio L.A. Reid has signed on to judge the US version of Simon Cowell‘s competitive singing show The X Factor. Today we are hearing from Celebuzz that former Gossip Girl star and current Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen will sign on as an X Factor host. Um … yeah. Last night, Taylor and her band performed a show in New Jersey and she was lookin’ more XXX Factor than X Factor.

Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed a show at a rock club called Tattoo in Toronto, Canada last night and, as you can see from the photos below, she went ALL out to look all hardcore and badass on stage. Wearing a tank top that reads I Fuck for Satan, a pair of skimpy pleather undies and not much else, Taylor really let her inner wild child come out and play.

Artist Richard Phillips has immortalized some of Hollywood’s biggest celebs in a new art exhibition titled Most Wanted which is on display at the White Cube Gallery in London. For his art pieces, he took images of the celebs and enhanced them with bright hypercolor, making for bold and striking images.

According to the artist, these celebs have the “capacity to dominate the celebrity media outlets with the published details of their public and private lives.” By placing their faces over the logos of luxury brands, Phillips has made these in demand celebs even in higher demand. In the end, the result is a batch of photos that are, at the very least, eye-catching. Check out some of the photos below and tell me what you think. Back in September MTV threw its biggest party of the year here in SoCal at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Last night, MTV threw its second biggest party of the year in Madrid, Spain at the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. Gossip Girl star, Pretty Reckless frontwoman and Material Girl spokesmodel Taylor Momsen is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of the Heavy Metal Music magazine Revolver. At only 17 years old, Taylor is clearly trying to make a statement by posing on the cover of Revolver as a pissed off gun-toting lingerie model:

Seems that even though she’s only 17 she’s already a veteran when it comes to courting controversy. Taylor Momsen often takes heat for her overtly sexy look and choice of clothing and her latest magazine cover will do nothing to quieten the critics. The Gossip Girl actress poses, holding a rifle and a hand gun, with her usual thick black eye make-up and with her over-bleached blonde hair cascading around her shoulders, clad in lace topped black stockings and suspenders and barely there lingerie. Topping off her entirely age-inappropriate ensemble the teenager teeters on some sky-high stripper style perspex and patent heels. Momsen glares at the camera with her regular contrived bored teenager sneer, with the rifle slung over her shoulder and handgun pointing to the floor. The star loves to play-up her ‘dangerous’ ‘edgy’ image, admitting during interviews to everything from owning a vibrator to carrying a knife – apparently she ‘relaxes by opening and closing a switchblade’. And she gives little thought to the parents worried that she could be a negative influence on impressionable teenage daughters. ‘To be honest, I don’t fucking care,’ she said in an interview earlier this year. ‘I didn’t get into this to be a role model. So I’m sorry if I’m influencing your kids in a way that you don’t like, but I can’t be responsible for their actions. I don’t care.’

Oh, Taylor … you are such a bad ass. Well, actually, not really. Acting out in this way, giving everyone a shitty attitude, trying to push the envelope stylistically and pretending not to care about anything is SO tired. First, it’s been done a million times before and been done better. Second, the I Don’t Care but Look At Me anyway attitude has been under the ownership of hipsters for years now … it’s neither interesting or controversial to me. The more I see from Taylor Momsen, the more her immaturity shows thru. She absolutely comes across like a spoiled brat with too much freedom desperately trying to get attention by pretending not to want it but screaming inside LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! I mean, she’s young. Hopefully she’ll grow out of this phase and mature a bit but I think she’ll be trying to pull this silliness for a while yet. Am I shocked by the guns and lingerie? Not at all. She merely looks silly to me. What do y’all think? Is Taylor Momsen pushing the envelope here?

At the close of last season on Gossip Girl, Jenny Humphrey (played by Taylor Momsen) was exiled from NYC, NY by Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) after her sexual liaison with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) was uncovered. It would appear that all of that is just water under the bridge because Little J is coming back to NYC, coming back to Gossip Girl … and she’s bringing the amazing Tim Gunn with her:

Although Blair (Leighton Meester) made it perfectly clear that Little J was no longer welcome in Manhattan after what happened with Chuck (Ed Westwick), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is tempted by a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Tim Gunn (“Project Runway”), which could be a game changer for her future. Meanwhile, Serena (Blake Likely) discovers something about her new boyfriend, Colin (guest star Sam Page), that may put an end to their relationship just as it was getting good. Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.

As you may recall, back in August we got to see Tim Gunn on the GG set and now we know when he’ll debut on the show … Monday October 25. I guess Jenny will be coming back to NYC to attend classes at Parsons New School for Design and that is why Tim is appearing on the show. I understand that Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Isaac Mizrahi will also be appearing on the 10/25 ep. Set those DVRs, it’s an ep you Gossip Girl fans do not want to miss. I’m still loving the show, really loving Tim Gunn … Taylor‘s miserable smirk, notsomuch. Eh, I guess you can’t love everything ;)

This may be a Gossip Girl spoiler of sorts but Taylor Momsen, who was kinda written off the show last season, was spotted on the NYC set of the show filming new scenes for an upcoming ep. For some reason, Taylor was photographed wearing a mask while she was on set:

It was a night of lace tights, skirts, and mother-daughter bonding for Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon, 13, as they celebrated the launch of their Material Girl clothing line Wednesday night at Macy’s Herald Square in N.Y.C. Despite being a fashion icon, Madonna was content to take a backseat when it came to choosing the items for the Material Girl girl. “Lola did most of the work. I just kind of hung out in the background and went, ‘That’s nice,’ but she pretty much did all of the work. I was just overseeing it,” she said. But when your mom is Madonna and you’re creating a fashion line for teenage girls, it isn’t always that simple. “There are some definite pieces [inspired by my mom]. The tulle skirt because that’s like her thing—she made that. The necklaces, the gloves, the lace tights, the combat boots…that tough girly thing,” Lourdes told PEOPLE. As for the items in Mom’s closet that she covets most? “All of her shoes are ridiculous! I love to try on her [Christian] Louboutins,” she said. Also on hand for the celebration was Material Girl face Taylor Momsen. “It was such an honor to be chosen by Madonna and Lola. They’re such talented people and I’m just ecstatic,” gushed the Gossip Girl star. The night concluded with the three ladies gathering on the fourth floor of Macy’s, as dancers performed and a DJ spun many of Madonna’s songs. “Lola has been so inspiring and it’s been so great to watch her focus, her determination.” Madonna said. “I’ve achieved many things in my life, but I have to say watching my daughter make her dreams come true and achieve her goals is more exciting than anything I’ve ever done.”
