Yesterday we saw photos of the Twilight Trinity — Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart — at a photocall/premiere screening event in Madrid, Spain and today we get to see a few photos of the BFF castmates actually pressing the flesh with the rabid diehard Twilight fans who came out for the event … behold:

You may recall that the Twilight Trinity also spent some time gettin’ up close and personal with the fans in London as well … so it sounds like they are doing everything humanly possible to promote their new sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon as much as they can. First they invaded Hollywood, CA, then they invaded Paris, France, then they invaded London, England … today the Twilight Trinity — Kirsten Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner — were on hand at The Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid, Spain to appear at a photocall/premiere screening event:

Hmmm … I wonder if they’ve yet grown tired of being shipped from country to country in order to be paraded in front of a room full of photographers before they’re shuttled from one interview to the next and then shipped off to the next country. It does not sound like a fun time … but I’m sure all those millions they are making in the process does make the whole experience more worthwhile. Round and round the world they go … where they’ll stop next is anyone’s guess.

We are just about one week away from the worldwide release of the much-anticipated sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon which means that the media hype for the film is ready to kick into frantic high gear. New Moon’s trinity of stars, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, are all featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. Here is their EW coverphoto and some excerpts from what EW calls a “wild, uncensored 3-way interview”:

“I swear to you I’ve never experienced anything like this. It’s every single day,” says New Moon star Robert Pattinson of the constant on-set fuss surrounding his character Edward’s signature mane. During a break from shooting Eclipse, the next film to be adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight novels, Pattinson — sitting alongside costars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner — recounts the continuing saga. “In Twilight, they wanted me to have extensions down to my hips.” (“He’s a liar,” Stewart interjects playfully. “He doesn’t remember. He’s remembering how they made him feel, but they were just, like, down to here [pointing to her shoulders].”) Pattinson continues. “So I told them ‘Look, that’s just not going to happen.’ I said, ‘It looks like this already, I’ll come to set like this.’” “I sound so stupid, but in a lot of ways the hair is 75 percent of my performance,” the 23-year-old actor admits, his locks now comfortably hidden under a Yankee’s cap. “So in the second one I said, ‘Listen, I need to tone down the hair. Let’s make it a little more real, a little bit more…Method,’” he says with a laugh. “And then in the third one, I’m doing fight scenes and there’s a strand going down my forehead and they’re like, ‘We need to do it again because no one will recognize you! No one will know who it is!’ I have to look like the poster at all times. Just in case they want to use any clip for the trailer. Any clip at all! There were about five people in different departments who, because of my forelock, ended up in tears.”

Geeze … how is it that a “wild, uncensored 3-way interview” turns into a treatise on Robert Pattinson’s hair? I mean … really? Has the fever pitch of Twilight hysteria led to … this? Well, yes it has. I suppose it’s silly to expect that the topic of conversation, as it pertains to The Twilight Saga, will ever reach an elevated and intelligent level … I mean, just look at the source material. But intense fandom and teenage hysteria is a huge money-maker … I suppose we can’t fault them for milking the madness for as much money as they can. The Twilight Saga: New Moon will surely make more money at the box office on opening weekend than Twilight did … you can bet on that. In fact, I don’t see how the crazy hoopla will ever slow down … not until each book has been made into a splashy movie and ever last tween on Earth grows into maturity … OR until something more silly comes along to steal everyone’s attention.

Pattz and K. Stew as they walked an airport tarmac … but now we get to see some photos from the UK premiere screening event which took place there today:

This event looks a bit more fan-friendly than the one held in Paris yesterday … not only did the cast walk down the red carpet amidst rabid fans but they also stopped to sign a few autographs and take a few photos. Twilight star Taylor Lautner is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Health magazine but it is his trainer Jordan Yuam who spoke to the mag about Tay Tay’s training regime. Here is Taylor’s Men’s Health cover and some excerpts from Yaum’s interview:

Walk into any gym, and you’ll see the same thing: Lots of guys doing lots of reps of just one or two abs exercises. “And that’s one reason why so few of them have six packs,” says Jordan Yuam, NCEP, who helped actor Taylor Lautner pack on 30 pounds of lean muscle (and a monster six-pack) for the blockbuster film New Moon. “Your abs are like every other muscle in your body, and the same rules of muscle-building apply.” In practice, that means targeting your core no more than three days a week (on non-consecutive days), and hitting it with a variety of exercises that work every muscle between your hips and chest. Here are five moves that helped Lautner land the number one spot on Access Hollywood’s “Top 5 Hollywood Abs” list. Weave them into your own workouts for similarly impressive results. And if you want maximum gains in minimal time “superset them,” advises Jordan. “Pick two exercises, and do sets of each back to back without rest in between.”

Lawd, this sounds like a lot of work … none of it fun … but considering the pay off, I can understand why some guys subject themselves to this kind of torture. Yesterday we saw photos of the Twilight gang — Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart — making their departure from LA at LAX Airport. I assumed that the castmates would be splitting up in order to spread the promo duties among them at different locales around the country … it turns out that that assumption was wrong. The Twilight Trinity made their way en mass to Paris, France to appear at a photocall/screening event for The Twilight Saga: New Moon at the Hôtel de Crillon:

I understand that the film screened at a premiere for a few very lucky Parisians … and were blessed with the presence of the Twilight Trinity to boot … imagine that! The regular common folk also got to catch a glimpse of the actors as they stepped out onto the balcony to wave to the peons below. After the jump, check out a couple photos of R. Pattz, K. Taylor Lautner sat down with Extra! TV to talk about his upcoming new sequel film The Twilight Saga: New Moon and was asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift. Lautner admitted to Extra! that he finds it “confusing” and “weird” to be involved with someone who shares his name … but methinks it’s not “confusing” or “weird” enough to make him stop ;) Lautner also talks about the prospect of him stripping down to do that nude scene in fourth installment of The Twilight Saga … read on to find out what he has to say about that:

Taylor Lautner has been cozying up to Taylor Swift, and he tells “Extra” that it’s kind of funny dating somebody with the same name. “It gets confusing definitely,” Lautner, 17, told “Extra’s” Mario Lopez at the “New Moon” (out Nov. 20) junket Friday. “And it’s weird calling somebody your name.” Lautner’s character, werewolf Jacob, has a nude scene in the fourth book, “Breaking Dawn.” Would Lautner be open to stripping down? “I don’t think the fans or the studio would be open to it, so I don’t even really need to think about it,” says Lautner, adding that although the movie hasn’t been officially announced, he’s “just waiting to hear.” On Saturday, Swift, 19, winked and blew a kiss to Lautner during her opening monologue. (She also skewered ex-beau Joe Jonas and Kanye West. Watch here.) In an interview that aired last week on CMT Radio, Swift said she thinks Lautner is “an amazing guy.” “We’re really close… and ah…. yep… and we’re in a movie together and I am really excited about seeing it,” she continued. Their romantic comedy, “Valentine’s Day,” hits theaters in February.

The bit about sharing the same name with Taylor Swift is really cute … too damn cute, if you ask me. Regarding that nude scene in Breaking Dawn, well, Lautner may be right to say that the studio may not be into it but I’m pretty sure the fans would DEFFO be into a Jacob Black nude scene. With the way Summit Entertainment has been happy to exploit every possible way to make money from The Twilight Saga franchise, I wouldn’t put it past them. You never know … dreams really do come true sometimes.
