These photos were snapped just today as mother and doll stepped out into the cold, snowy Manhattan streets to have lunch. Even I have to admit that Suri looks totally adorable in these pics. While I think that she should be wearing warm and dry boots, I’m glad Katie didn’t let the little dear go out into the cold snow wearing high heeled shoes. Nonetheless, they make a cute pair, these two, don’t they?

The New Orleans Saints almost left when their city flooded and their stadium had been turned into a shelter, a disaster seeming to provide the perfect escape route for a team in search of a better stadium and a bigger market. Displaced and disheartened, the Saints haltingly returned to a repaired Superdome after Hurricane Katrina. And a team so awful that its fans used to wear bags on their heads came to symbolize and be embraced by a battered but rebuilding community. On Sunday, with a quarterback who had hitched his career to resurrecting the Saints and with a team that played nearly flawlessly, the Saints gave New Orleans a reason to do what it does better than any other American city: celebrate. In the franchise’s first Super Bowl, the Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17, sending New Orleanians into the streets for a party. “Who Dat?” Saints fans ask about which opponent might beat their team. Now they have their answer: nobody. The Saints are the N.F.L.’s champions, after 42 seasons of futility. Confetti fell on the Saints here, but back in New Orleans, where Mardi Gras begins in less than two weeks, Bourbon Street erupted in joy, four and a half years after the city was nearly engulfed by despair when the levees broke. “Louisiana, by way of New Orleans, is back,” said the Saints’ owner, Tom Benson, clutching the Lombardi Trophy. “And it shows the whole world.” The play that sealed the victory, a comeback from a 10-0 deficit, came with a little more than three minutes to play at the expense of a New Orleans native. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, a son of the beloved former Saints quarterback Archie Manning, was intercepted by Saints cornerback Tracy Porter — a Louisiana native, too — when the Saints blitzed. Porter jumped in front of the intended receiver and returned the interception 74 yards for a touchdown that gave the Saints their winning margin. “Four years ago, whoever thought this would be happening?” quarterback Drew Brees said. “Eighty-five percent of the city was under water. All of the residents evacuated across the county. Most people not knowing if New Orleans could ever come back or if the organization or team would ever come back” … Brees was the M.V.P. of the game, but Saints Coach Sean Payton made the most valuable — and the gutsiest — decision. With the Saints trailing by 4 points and kicking off to the Colts to open the second half, Payton called for an onside kick. The Saints call the play “ambush,” and that was what it was. Colts players admitted after the game that they did not see it coming. Thomas Morstead, the kicker on the play, said: “I wasn’t worried. I was terrified” … At long last, the Saints have arrived, and they brought New Orleans back with them.

What a game, eh? As I said yesterday before the game got underway, I was not rooting for any particular team because I didn’t have a vested interest in either side winning but you gotta admit, it’s pretty sweet to see the people of New Orleans cheering in the streets just 4 years after their city was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The Saints‘ win was well-deserved, they played hard … make smart moves … and, in the end, proved they were the best team of the year. This photo of Brangelina with their eldest son Maddox Chivan is the first photo we’ve seen of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together since those rumors started going around that the couple were dunzo. Of course, a high profile photo like this really proves nothing … but it does go a long way to quieting some folks who may still believe the rumored split. In any event, as you can see, there were quite a few celebs at the game last night … I’m sure they all had a great time. But the real story here is the Saints‘ big win. Congrats to the team but also to the people of New Orleans and Louisiana as a whole. I truly hope they can enjoy the sweet win for a very long time :)

Katie sure looks blissfully happy in that first photo, don’t she? Yeah. The whole family have been lookin’ really happy every time they step out together, which is a good thing … and goes a long way to calming my suspicious heart. Let’s just assume, for now, that everything is perfect in TomKat’s world no matter how cleverly orchestrated it may appear ;)

Maybe Katie Holmes decided the close call last week was enough to put an end to her daughter wearing footwear made for grown-ups? Or maybe the recent change in the weather convinced her that wellingtons were a more practical option? Whatever the reason it was good to see that, after several outings in less-than-sensible shoes recently, Suri Cruise finally stepped out in footwear more accustomed to a child of her age. The three-year-old upped the cuteness stakes in a pair of bright green wellington boots adorned with a fairy print, complete with obligatory wings across the toes. Pictured on a shopping trip to New York’s Soho district with her mother Katie Holmes, Suri was the epitome of cute with a matching rucksack to go with her girly boots and a dark blue party dress. Katie went for an autumnal look for the Big Apple trip, wearing a double-breasted brown jacket, jeans and brown leather boots.

Suri is so cute in these photos, I guess I can almost forgive the little robot for continuing to steal my heart with her adorableness. These rubber boots are just the best … I love how bright and fun they are. Katie Holmes, on the other hand, looks dour, spent and sad as usual … poor thing. At least little Suri seems to be having a blast with her ensemble. Sooo cute!!

While some may find the red on red on red a bit matchy-matchy, I think it works well for the little Miss. This color red really suits her … and at the very least, makes her really noticeable. Should the little dear suffer a malfunction or blow a spark plug, it would be easy to see if she makes a break for freedom. Ain’t she just a doll?

Hahahaha … despite the sad look on Suri Holmes-Cruise’s face in this photo, I can assure you she was having a grand ol’ time hamming it up for the passersby to passed her window show Saturday afternoon. As you may recall, Suri’s parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, are in the Boston, MA area right now so that Tom can film his new movie Knight and Day. It appears that while Tom was bizzy on set, Katie took their little robot child out for a day of fun in Cambridge on Saturday afternoon. The day was topped off with a visit to the Sweet cupcake shop where Suri was happy to perform in the window as she gobbled up her red velvet cupcake:

They say you can’t improve on perfection but somehow the Cruise family always seem to find a way. The model family enjoyed another idyllic day out as they relaxed by the lake at Government House in Melbourne with daughter Suri today. As they cuddled up together, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their adorable daughter looked every inch the poster image for the perfect life. Katie, 30, was taking a well-earned day off from working on her latest movie Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark, which she is filming in Australia. The family were reunited last weekend when Tom flew out to join Katie and Suri, bearing two dozen red roses for his wife. During his stay, the Hollywood star found time to take Suri to an aquarium, as well as going to an Australian Rules football match with Katie’s co-star Guy Pearce Tom, 47, is due to leave country tomorrow and the family were obviously keen to make the most of their precious time together. Dressed casually in jeans, a make-up less Katie cuddled three-year-old Suri under a blanket, while Tom looked lovingly on. As she snuggled up to her mother, all that was visible of the little girl were her grey trainers and mop of dark hair. Wearing dark shades, Tom looked the devoted Hollywood dad as the family larked around in the park.

OY … these are cute pics. I’m gonna take them at face value and not assume that the family was aware that they were being photographed (and therefore putting on a show) and just enjoy these pics as the insane cuteness that they are. They do make an adorable family, manufactured or not :)

As you may recall, the plotline of Katie’s new movie involves her character being terrorized by evil gnomes … perhaps Suri is auditioning for a part in the flick? I keed, I keed!! Clearly, Katie doesn’t feel that the movie set of death is at all a danger to her young child … or does she?????? Whatever the case may be, it’s a relief to see Katie lookin’ so well after enduring such an upsetting incident. Now she can go back about her biz of making movies that no one has any interest in watching.

Nope. No famous celebrity baby friends, no carousels or riding ponies …. nothing at all to distinguish her birthday fête from that of any normal, human 3 year old child. To be honest, it’s refreshing to see that the Cruise clan doesn’t need to spend lots of money (or any money, for that matter) in celebration of their little robot-girl’s third year of existence … tho, I’m not entirely sure that Suri felt the same. As you may recall, Suri was treated like a little princess (literally) on a recent visit to Disney World in Florida … and that was for no special occasion at all. I bet the little miss was expecting something more extravagant for her actual birthday party. Well, if Suri wants to live like a real live girl she’s gonna hafta get used to things like this … and besides, trampolines can be fun! Even for robots.

It’s amazing how quickly these kids grow up … it wasn’t all that long ago that they were mere babies and now they’re turning into kids. It won’t be long before this crop of celebrity kids grows up into teenagers and then we’ll have a new generation of mini-celebs on the scene. It’s so strange to think that in a little over 10 years time Suri, Brooklyn, Romeo, Maddox, Kingston, Levi and the other celeb babies will be the gang roaming the streets of Hollywood. Kids like Suri and Romeo may be enjoying playdates these days but in the very near future they could be going on actual dates together. WEIRD!!! For now, I think we can just think that match-ups like this are cute … but it is funny to think about which celeb kids will be dating one another when they grow up.
