Julie Benz Loves Her Snuggie

Julie Benz, who stars in the new hit ABC series No Ordinary Family, posted a fun photo on her official Twitter profile last night which I thought would be very fun to share with all y’all … behold:

She tweets: I found my doppelganger

Hahahaha … I love this! Not only do I heart Julie entirely as an actress on some of my fave shows of all time (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dexter) but I also love her love for the Snuggie! Who knows, mebbe if she gets tired of acting she can get a job as a Snuggie model? But, I really hope she doesn’t get tired of acting because I love her in everything that she does. I am so in love with No Ordinary Family … it’s such a fun show and I am loving the way the storyline is turning out. If you don’t watch the show, you can catch up with eps online HERE. Check it out … cuz I’d much rather see Julie Benz on my TV rather than on my box of Snuggie.

‘Snuggie’-ling Up With ‘The Turtle Party: Book Club’

Last night was the second meeting of The Turtle Party: Book Club and we spent much of the meeting just checking in to see where everyone is in the book. Andy couldn’t make the meeting (last min. tix to see Elvis Costello took precedence, apparently) but Rob, home from his long sojourn away from SoCal, was able to attend. In fact, as a welcome home present for him and Tamar I decided to bring them gifts to help them settle back into domesticity together:

Yes, the animal print is for Roberto. I’m hoping to be able to share a photo of the happy couple enjoying their new gifts someday ;) We decided that Caleb would be bringing 3 options as our next book to read when we meet next, we’ll decide which book at that meeting … as well as discuss Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter. By all accounts, everyone is loving the book thus far … I’m really looking forward to discussing it with everyone in a couple of weeks. Make sure you follow @theturtleclub if you want to be kept apprised of our book club progress.

Tonight I take the red eye to NYC ahead of the Nine Inch Nails concerts that will take place there this weekend and next week. Those of you who follow NIN on Twitter surely caught the announcement that a few more tix for the Bowery Ballroom and Webster Hall were made available for sale earlier today. Hopefully those of you who couldn’t snag tix the first time around managed to get them this time around. I hope to see you there!! Tomorrow might be a bit whacky for me … I get into NYC at 5AM :( But, I’ll be comin’ atcha from the East Coast for the following week after so … Wee!!

As Seen On TV

Yesterday was a very nice day here in SoCal … despite the drizzly rain, the weather was very temperate and the sun managed to come out for a large portion of the day … which meant that LA got to enjoy a couple of rainbows. David and I went to the Beverly Center so that we could find him something to wear to the Grammy Awards today. His stuff from NYC still hasn’t arrived so none of his really nice clothes are here yet … any excuse to shop is a good one, yes? After we found him an outfit and ate at PF Chang’s (which, I don’t care what anyone says, is an amazing restaurant) we paid a little visit to Bed, Bath & Beyond to pick up a few essentials … on the way out of the store we came upon this display:

LOL! Yep, David and I now have a matching set of Snuggies to wear when we are lounging on the couch. Photos to come, I’m sure ;) We also picked up a box of ShamWow towels … it was a good day for As Seen on TV shopping :)

This evening, David and I are heading out to the Grammy Awards — courtesy of our friends at Absolut Vodka — and we are both very excited. I was lucky enough to attend the Grammys back in 2006 but this will be David’s first time. I’m sure we’re gonna have a blast … I’ll do my best to Twitter the night’s events for those of you interested and, of course, I’ll have the full wrap-up tomorrow ;)
