Two of Bravo TV‘s most beloved housewives from their Real Housewives series met up for lunch yesterday at Villa Blanca here in SoCal. Here’s a cute photo of NeNe Leakes and her hubby Gregg Leakes, from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, at lunch with Gretchen Rossi and her new beau Slade Smiley (who previously romanced OC housewife Jo De La Rosa), from The Real Housewives of Orange County yesterday afternoon:

Whoa! It looks like the next season of The Real Housewives of Orange County is going to come jam-packed with a whole SHIZZLOAD of new drama … and how! On the last season of The Real Housewives of Orange County we were introduced to new castmember and blonde bombshell Gretchen Rossi who was cast as the new “housewife” on the show because she was engaged to be wed to a much older man named Jeff Beitzel — who was suffering from leukemia. Thruout the season, we watched Gretchen apparently love and care for Jeff as he slowly deteriorated and then we learned that he passed away after filming of the season ended. At the reunion show at the end of the season, Gretchen was accused by fellow castmember Tamra Barney of using Jeff for his money and to achieve fame on the show — she also accused Gretchen of cheating on him with another man named Jay Photoglou … which Gretchen deftly denied. Since that time, it appears, Gretchen has gotten over the death of her fiancée and has moved on with new man Slade Smiley. Slade is no stranger to the OC reality TV series … he was featured in the first few seasons of the show as the fiancée of another “real housewife” named Jo De La Rosa (who dumped him and left the show … which meant that Slade had to leave the show, too). Here are new photos of the newly paired up Gretchen and Slade lookin’ very much in love lust:

HMMM … Gretchen sure didn’t waste any time hooking up with a new man, did she? I hate to say it but this new behavior really does make it seem that all of the “love” for her much older fiancée was not as genuine as she made it appear on the show. It seems evident to me that Gretchen and Slade will absolutely be included in the next season of the show merely because they have hooked up together. See, this is why the OC series grosses me out … but, as is clear, I just can’t stop watching. Incidentally, you may recall that Slade was recently arrested for failing to pay child support for this children … so this opportunity to get back on the show to make more money couldn’t come at a better time. As much as I hate to admit it, I can’t *wait* to see this new drama unfold on the new season of the show. I really did like Gretchen and I really believed she was in love with Jeff … and mebbe she was … but this new behavior really makes her seem like a different person. I can’t wait to hear what Tamra has to say about this.

Slade Smiley, who featured in the first 3 seasons of the Bravo reality TV series The Real Housewives of Orange County, was recently arrested for failing to pay his child support. Now, I realize that a great many of you prolly don’t even know who this reality TV nobody is but I’ve been in a Real Housewives way lately and his arrest seems very timely. Here is Slade‘s very un-smiley mugshot:

The law is frowning upon Slade Smiley. The former Real Housewives of Orange County beau was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for civil contempt after allegedly falling behind on his child-support payments and other court-related fees. Smiley, who footed the bill for the O.C. lifestyle that Jo De La Rosa once enjoyed on Housewives, was released later that night after posting $10,000 bail. “We became aware that there was a warrant in the system for him and a possible location he was at,” Costa Mesa Police Department Lt. Clay Epperson told E! News Monday. “We went out there, he identified himself, submitted to an arrest without any problem, and he was booked into our jail for civil contempt.” Smiley said today in a statement released by his rep that this incident means nothing as far as how he feels about his kids. “This is an unfortunate situation that has occurred,” Smiley said. “My son is very ill and we have been working on resolving the issue of support versus his enormous medical bills with the appropriate agencies for several months now. It is sad that individuals would take advantage of the situation in an attempt to defame and discredit me in such a public manner. For those who know me, there is nothing more important than my children.” Smiley has two sons, Grayson and Gavin, from two previous relationships. The businessman moved, along with De La Rosa, from Housewives to the Bravo matchmaking series Date My Ex: Jo and Slade, in which Smiley roomed with a batch of potential love interests for his former live-in girlfriend.

For his part, Slade maintaining his innocence based on his ignorance that he wasn’t even aware that he was behind on child support payments … which is a lame excuse but I suppose is believable. Yeah, I’m not all that interested in Smiley’s arrest … but man, that reunion of The Real Housewives of Orange County that aired last night as AMAZING! It was truly the best reunion of any Housewives series ever (tho, most of them are really damn fun to watch). I suppose it’s to be expected that someone from this batch of reality TV “stars” would be arrested … I honestly thought it would’ve been one of the horrible OC children. I predict that we may see more mugshots from these folks in the future. So … did any of y’all watch the Housewives Reunion last night? What did y’all think?
