At the start of this month, we got to see the official trailer for the upcoming 6th season of the amazing British TV series Skins. The new season starts in just 2 days on Monday January 23 and as a final tease, we get to check out a newer and longer promo trailer for the show. I’m not sure if this new trailer is “official” or not but it does feature a lot of footage from the coming season … footage that some might consider spoilery. Last week we got to check out the first video trailer for the upcoming 6th season of the UK TV series Skins (which has since been yanked offline by E4) and today we get to check out a second, newer trailer. I understand that the trailer we saw last week was unauthorized and this newer one is actually meant to be the official trailer. It’s deffo worth a look, Skins fans, because it features a lot of season 6 footage that was not featured in the first trailer. Check it out in full below.

As you may recall, the HORRIBLE US version of Skins died a painful (to watch) death back in June (thankfully) but the far superior original UK version of the series is still going strong. Skins co-creator Jamie Brittain has announced that he is leaving the show he helped create with Brian Elsey, which has many fans of the British teen drama concerned that the show is in trouble. Skins season 5 wrapped last month and, as I understand it, plans are still in the works for a Skins movie and forthcoming 6th season next year. But with Brittain‘s exit, many are wondering what will happen to the show … or are wondering if the show will be canceled altogether.

Our plans to attend the Usher event last night fell thru at the last minute because of the intensity of the people clamoring to get inside and our unwillingness to fight our way in so … David and I instead decided to enjoy a nice, quiet dinner together at our new fave Thai restaurant Night + Market. But earlier in the evening, I was able to watch episode 3 of the new 5th season of the UK version of Skins. Again, I was reminded how much I love the series based on last night’s excellent episode revolving around the Mini McGuiness character.

Last night the second episode of the 5th season of Skins aired on E4 in the UK and I was fortunate enough to be able to watch the show online just hours after it aired on TV. As you may recall, last week the 5th season of Skins debuted with a very powerful episode … and this week’s ep was just as fantastic. Episode 2 revolved around the Heavy Metal headbanger Rich … and his growing feelings for ballerina Grace.

The 5th season of the UK series Skins premiered on E4 last night, introducing a new cast of characters on the show. As you may know, MTV premiered the US version of Skins a couple of weeks ago which, IMHO, is just an embarrassingly bad copy of the far superior original series. I was able to watch last night’s premiere of Skins online and was immediately impressed with the episode in the first 2 minutes. The show is that good.
