In addition to being the spokesbulge for the Fall/Winter 2008-2009 Armani Underwear ad campaign, David Beckham is also the new spokesman for Sharpie markers … we already got our first look at his latest TV ad for the company but here is our first look at his new print campaign:

Heh. It’s a cute ad … if you actually get around to reading it, that is. On the David Beckham page of Sharpie.com, you can sign up for email updates from the marker company to be alerted to any Becks/Sharpie promotions that might spring up. Now, I have *no idea* what that could possibly entail but I suspect über Becks fans might want to take note … especially considering that this other photo of Becks, seductively holding a Sharpie marker to his mouth, is featured on the site:

MMM MMM MMM … the man can sell anything. I suddenly have a strong desire to rush out and buy 12 boxes of Sharpie pens … damn those advertising gurus!

So, yesterday we got a closer look at Becks’s bulge in the first of the new batch of Armani Underwear ad photos which were unveiled this week in San Francisco, CA and today we get to check out his stick in another new Beckham ad campaign, this time for Sharpie markers. Altho this new ad campaign isn’t as … interesting (or meaty) as the campaign for Armani Underwear is, it still looks purdy swell … after all, it features David Beckham, y’all:

It’s not quite Armani, but it helps pay the bills. Brand Beckham has expanded yet again as David is the new global ambassador for Sharpie – a pen company. The LA Galaxy star signed a two year deal to support two of Sharpie’s products, and has already starred in a 15-second television ad which aired in the U.S last month. Although the details of the deal are undisclosed, Beckham,32, is bound to be making a tidy sum to add to his other projects. He is currently modeling for for fashion designer Giorgio Armani’s underwear collection under a new three-year multimillion-pound deal … David said: “I have always enjoyed signing autographs for people, especially since I used to love getting my heroes’ signatures when I was younger,” said David Beckham. “I love to use Sharpie markers, so it’s a natural choice for me to partner with them.”

Of course the Sharpie marker folks have decided to use David Beckham in their latest ad campaign … he’s deffo got the write stuff. Okay, that was pretty bad … but I had to make the joke. Anyways, you may recall that we saw pics of Becks on the set of this ad campaign a couple of months ago … he was posing with a little girl on the street. While the Armani ads feature the hawtness (in his pants), this ad features good ol’ cutie pie Becks fully dressed. Eh, as long as the bulge pics keep comin’ out then I don’t mind seeing him in other campaigns as well ;)
