While much of the US is dealing with bitter cold and Europe is dealing with tons of snow, we here in SoCal have been getting drenched for the past week by continuous rainfall. I’m not even exaggerating, the rain hasn’t stopped falling for days (and we’re due for another 12 inches today and tomorrow)! Still, Xmas shopping stops for no man … or celebrity. Happily marrieds Heidi Klum and Seal dug out their umbrella and slipped on their rubber boots to do a bit shopping here in LA yesterday.

Willow Smith, Seal, Stevie Wonder, 90210‘s Jessica Lowndes and Jersey Shore‘s Paul Pauly D Delvecchio were among the performers who provided the entertainment at The Holiday Tree Lighting at L.A. LIVE in downtown LA last night. The celebs were on hand for the official lighting of the 54 foot LED holiday tree (which is made up of over 10,000 lights) as well as the official opening of the new 70×80 outdoor ice skating rink located within Nokia Plaza. Here are a few photos and some deets about the event:

‘Tis the season for giant Christmas trees! When LA Live opened for business two years ago, it became the Southland’s unofficial version of New York’s Times Square—a go-to meeting place for friends and loved ones to enjoy the holiday season. And this Christmas at LA Live will prove to be even more spectacular than the last two! Hosted by Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, the fun and festivities of the LA Live Holiday Celebration will kick off this Saturday with the tree lighting, a 54-foot LED tree with over 10,000 lights. The tree lighting ceremony will also include the grand opening of the Nokia Plaza’s outdoor ice arena, as well as special performances by Grammy award-winning singer Seal, Willow Smith, and an ice skating performance by 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek. The event will also kick off AEG’s Season of Giving Initiative, which will honor a different charity or non-profit organization each night at the ice skating rink. Because what’s a holiday season without giving?

I suppose it’s entirely unsurprising to learn that LA has a huge fake plastic tree smack dab in the “Times Square of Los Angeles” but, well, we do. David and I first saw the tree lit up (unofficially, I guess) when we went to LA Live last weekend to see Ok Go in concert … as fake as it is, it’s pretty impressive. Josh and I were at LA Live on Friday night and we saw lots of people skating in the outdoor ice rink … which is pretty unbelievable for SoCal. Say what you will about the artificiality of Tinsel Town, we do have a fun way of celebrating the holidays in new and fun ways.

Last Wednesday we got a sneak peek at Heidi Klum‘s Hallowe’en costume for 2010 and as you may recall, she was lookin’ very large, in charge and absolutely over-the-top in her futuristic superhero-like contraption on stilts. Today we get to see how Heidi‘s costume turned out for the big night last night … plus, we get to see how hubby Seal dressed up for the couple’s annual All Hallows’ Eve Celebration which was held, this year, in NYC:

Like she does every year, Heidi Klum went all out for Halloween, dressing as a 8-foot-tall robotic superhero for her annual bash with husband Seal. Klum, 37, dished all about her duds – designed by Martin Izquierdo, known for creating the famous Victoria’s Secret angel wings … “I wanted to be like an alien transformer,” she told Us at the party at NYC’s Lavo. “It took a few hours [to get ready], but I was well-prepared because someone has been building it for me for quite some time, so when the time came, I just put it on. But the makeup, that took a little while longer!” She told Us it wasn’t even difficult walking in such an outrageous getup (which had built-in stilts, by the way). “I practiced a few times … it’s not that hard!” she said. Her only concern? “I can’t really bend anything!” she told Us. As for husband Seal, 47, she told Us, “He did not want to be on stilts, so he thought, ‘OK instead of height, I’m gonna go wider. So he wanted to be the Silver Surfer.” Their children didn’t get to see their final costumes because they’re in Los Angeles. “I said to my husband that we’re going to have to redo this again one more time for them when they get home because they want to see — especially the boys!” Klum told Us. Their children all had eclectic looks themselves. “I have a little princess, a witch, a Superman and a Dracula,” she said. “They love it! If it was up to them, we’d go to a pumpkin patch everyday, and they would wear costumes everyday. They would keep the spiders, hanging in our house for the rest of the year. They just love it!” Added Klum, “Everyone is great!”

Okay … Heidi‘s costume looks so much better when she’s done up in hair and make-up. It is plainly obvious that Hallowe’en is a BIG DEAL in the Klum-Samuel family and this year the couple really went all out. I didn’t immediately recognize Seal as The Silver Surfer, mainly because he wasn’t carrying the silver surfboard … but I can see it now that I know that’s what he was dressed up as. Many celebs can be counted on to bring the fun each and every Hallowe’en and Heidi Klum is paramount among those celebs. I wasn’t too crazy about the costume when I saw it before but I really love the final product.

Heidi Klum and hubby Seal packed up the kiddies and made the long trek to the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA this weekend for the family’s annual pumpkin picking excursion … here are a few photos:

As you may recall, Christina Aguilera took her son Max Liron to Mr. Bones last week — on the very day she filed for divorce from her hubby Jordan Bratman. This visit by the Klum-Samuel family seems a much happier, controversy free visit. This family is just so cute … I love seeing them all out and about doing things together.

On Tuesday we got our first look at Seal‘s sexy new music video in a batch of promo images and today we get to see the final product. Here are a few screencaps from Seal‘s new music video for Secret:

Despite the fact that I’m not the biggest fan of Seal‘s music, there is a softness and a sensuality in this song that really makes it much more appealing than his usual fare. As you can see, Seal‘s beautiful supermodel wife Heidi Klum is featured in the video and the couple makes it very clear how much in love they are with one another — in a sexy and not at all gratuitous way. US Weekly brings us hot new photos of happily marrieds Seal and Heidi Klum posing all nekkid and lovey in the music video for his new single Secret, set to premiere tomorrow … but today, we get our first look at their real life music video lurve:

Who says things don’t get hotter after marriage? Seal and Heidi Klum bare all — in bed! — in the video for his single “Secret” (off his album Seal 6: Commitment, out Tuesday) — and UsMagazine.com has your first peek! Klum, 37, tells Us that it didn’t take much acting: “It’s the story of two people in love. My husband is what I always wanted and never thought I would have.” Adds Seal, 47, “The song, the movie, it’s the story of our love” … “I feel so lucky to have found my husband especially at the time when I did,” Klum tells Us. “He is both what I always wanted and never thought I would have.”

Lawd … these two really know how to keep it hot. Heidi, always one looking for an excuse to pose nekkid in front of the cameras, is one hot mama … Seal is a very, very lucky man. To be honest, Seal‘s music is totally not my thing (he lost me back at Kiss from a Rose from the Batman Forever soundtrack) but I am really looking forward to seeing this video in full. I wonder how hot things get between these two in the vid?

Heidi Klum and her hubby Seal have packed up their children — Helene Leni, Johan Riley, Henry Günther and Lou Sulola — and made their way to Portovenere, Italy for a family vacay together. The Klum-Samuel family have been spotted enjoying all that Portovenere has to over … and Heidi and Seal were even spotted sharing a tender moment together on the beach:

The family decided to holiday on the Italian Riviera after Seal completed a recent European tour … and it looks like they got right into the swing of resting and relaxing together. It’s always so heartening to see a family so happy and in love … I just love them all. Aren’t they the cutest fam ever?

Seal, singer and hubby to supermodel Heidi Klum, stepped out with his sons Henry Günther Ademola and Johan Riley Fyodor to attend the LA Lakers v. Oklahoma City Thunder basketball game at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, CA last night. Seal and the boys were there to cheer on their beloved Lakers, who successfully trounced the Thunder by a score of 111-87. Here are a few cute pics of the boys enjoying their night out together:

Now, of course it’s nothing new to see celebs and their kids sitting courtside at a Lakers game but these photos have to be the cutest pics of all time. Henry and Johan are just the cutest little boys, it’s nice to see them out on the town with their daddy. I understand the OKC Thunder have been a bit of trouble for the LA Lakers so it might be that the Samuel boys were the charm that led to their massive win last night. Here’s hoping they attend more games in the future to ensure the Lakers stay on their winning streak :)

Earlier today we learned that Taylor Swift made history as the youngest performer to win the Album of the Year award at the 52nd Grammy Awards last night and Beyoncé made Grammy history as the most honored woman in an single night. We also learned that the late Michael Jackson was paid tribute by a group of Grammy performers in a fun 3D performance and his children appeared on stage to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award. But there were a lot of other folks at the Staples Center last night for the Grammy Awards … many of whom made their grand arrivals on the red carpet last night:

I know Imogen Heap is taking a lot of flak for her weird outfit but A.) she always dresses weird so what’s the big deal and B.) her dress was a very special one that was broadcasting a live Twitter feed from her followers so that they could be with her at the Grammys last night. She gets snaps in my book. There was a lot of love, a lot of crazy mess and a lot of divas on the red carpet last night … which is pretty standard fare, I think. Here are a few cute pics of a heavily bundled up Heidi Klum and hubby Seal as they putzed around Aspen, CO this weekend where the family have temporarily relocated for the holidays. As you can see, Heidi was carrying around her newborn baby girl Lou Suloa in her own little baby parka while Seal got in a bit of snowboarding … behold:

This family is so cute … they always make time for fun family trips like these. They are a very routinized bunch, as well. They like to celebrate the holidays in the same fashion each year and the couple even like to get married over and over again on their anniversaries. It’s hard to believe that any family is perfect … but the Klum-Samuels have got to be the closest thing to perfection, I think. It’s nice to see them lookin’ so happy … here’s hoping they enjoy a very happy, festive and loving first Xmas with their newest addition to the family — Lil’ Miss Lou :)
