At last … after many years of hoping, praying, talking … then planning and waiting … Scream 4 finally opened in theaters here in the US yesterday. It seems like a lifetime ago that we first heard that the Scream film franchise was being rebooted with a new sequel and an ice age since the last film was released in theaters … but Scream 4 is out. I was able to see the film at a showing yesterday and I am very happy to reveal that I LOVED it entirely and believe it to be a very worthy sequel to the amazing Scream horror franchise.

At long last … we are just DAYS away from the release of the much-anticipated sequel film Scream 4 and last night all of the stars of the franchise (both old and new) convened at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA for the World Premiere of the film! Scream veterans Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette were joined by new comers Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Adam Brody and more on the red carpet in celebration of the revival of the Scream franchise. Scream 4 won’t open in theaters until next weekend but the famed Ghostface killer mask is featured prominently on the cover of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. While we wait the long 7 days until Scream 4 is unleashed upon the world, we can look to EW magazine to tide us over with as much info about the movie as can be shared before the film officially opens next week. New comments made by iconic horror director Wes Craven, whose new film Scream 4 opens in mere weeks, reveal just how disenfranchised Craven feels about Scream 4. Due to changes made to the film by the studio (primarily the decision to take away some of Kevin Williamson‘s script writing), Wes Craven now feels that Scream 4 ultimately doesn’t feel like his film.

In April of last year, we got our first look at the first teaser poster for Scream 4. Today, with under 3 months to go until the film gets released in theaters, we get our first look at the latest Scream 4 poster artwork.

Back in October we got our first look at the first extended teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel film Scream 4 (due out in May) and today we get to take a gander at the newly released second trailer for the film. Scream fans, hold on your hats … er, ghostface killer masks … cuz this movie looks SO DAMN GOOOOD!

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, commenting on the news that actor David Arquette checked himself into rehab, Wes Craven may have inadvertently provided a bit of spoileryish information about the upcoming Scream sequel film. His comments, which at first read innocently, may be more telling than he might like. Is it possible that the director actually let slip some very important information about a major death in Scream 4?

On Sunday we got our first look at the new teaser video for Scream 4 that was world premiered at the taping Saturday night of the 2010 Spike Scream Awards. Today we get to check out a higher quality EXTENDED version of the trailer. Because Australia is awesome, the folks down under got to see an extended version of the Scream 4 teaser trailer … which hasn’t even aired properly on US TV:

The first footage from the much-anticipated sequel film Scream 4 was shown last night at the taping of the 2010 Spike Scream Awards (which I had the extreme pleasure of attending in person myself) as Wes Craven, Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Emma Roberts presented the World Premiere of a new teaser video trailer for the film. Here is our first look at that footage which — I must clarify — was not recorded by me, is filmed at an extreme angle and is presented in low quality … but still is a pretty good first look at Scream 4:

This teaser clip will be broadcast in beautiful HD on Tuesday night when the 2010 Spike Scream Awards air on Spike TV so make sure you tune in to watch. I know there are a lot of Scream fans in the hiz, so I hope you enjoy this sneak peek at the film. We get to see a lot in this first footage … it really looks like Scream 4 is kinda be all kinds of kick-ass! Woot!!
