Sasha Fierce is dead, y’all … Beyoncé killed her. In a new interview with Extra! this week, Beyoncé reveals that her alter-ego has ceased to exist since her I Am … World Tour has come to a close on the island nation of Trinidad & Tobago. It’s time to pour one out and say our goodbyes … Sasha Fierce is dunzo!

Beyoncé Knowles gave “Extra’s” AJ Calloway backstage access to her final, I Am… Sasha Fierce concert in Trinidad, where he caught all the raw moments, talked future babies and her plans for the next few months. “Sasha Fierce is done,” Beyoncé says of her alter ego. “I killed her.” Her Sasha persona will be no more now that she’s finished with her tour. The singer shared a list of things she now wants to accomplish during her break. She told AJ that she’s not going back to work until everything is checked off her list! Items on her to-do list include “learning to paint and cook, and to do Broadway shows and museums. And learn just to be at home and just watch television.” Beyoncé and rapper/producer hubby Jay-Z have been married for almost two years, and while there are no immediate plans for a baby, she does say, “Eventually. When it happens it happens… I definitely want a family. I’m too close to my mother, I have the best mother, you know. I can only hope the relationship I have with my mother, I can have with my kids whenever I decided to have them.” AJ asked if Jay-Z also wanted kids, to which Beyoncé replied, “You gotta ask Jay.”

I guess Beyoncé finally got tired of sharing the spotlight with Sasha so she had to kick girlfriend to the curb … actually, I bet it was more like B shoved Sasha down the stairs, picked up her broken body, loaded it into her car which she then set on fire and then drove off a cliff. Sasha Fierce got too big for her own good, y’all … Beyoncé ain’t gonna share the limelight anymore ;) As fierce as Sahsa Fierce really was, I’m glad she’s dunzo … the alter-ego thing is tired … be Beyoncé, that’s fab enough. Oh yes, Bey has got on her FI-ERCE face, y’all. And while I still think the whole Sasha Fierce thing is a little bit ridic, I suppose she deserves props for going all out and really workin’ this angle. It should be noted that while the CD version of the double album is available from various outlets, the iTunes Deluxe Version of the album will come with two exclusive tracks unavailable anywhere else — Save The Hero (sung by Beyoncé) and Why Don’t You Love Me? (sung by Sasha Fierce). Of the songs I’ve been able to preview thus far, I gotta admit … I really love the Fierce tracks. I guess I’m willing to put up with B‘s egomania in order to enjoy her slammin’ album.

For a few weeks now, we have seen messages popping up in advertising on posters, billboards and on websites (including right here on Pink is the new Blog) asking the question Who Is Sasha Fierce? Well, at long last, we finally have the answer. [Drum roll, please] It turns out that Sasha Fierce is none other than Beyoncé Knowles herself. Of course, anyone familiar with Beyoncé and her alter-ego nonsense knows that B has been, at times, calling herself Sasha for many months now … but at least now, we know her last name. Here are a couple pics of Beyoncé or Sasha Fierce (not sure which) making her way out of Cipriani restaurant in NYC with her husband Jay-Z last night:

The R&B singer has christened herself “Sasha Fierce” for her new double album, “I Am … Sasha Fierce,” due in stores on Nov. 18, and has released a lengthy justification for the comical moniker. “I have someone else that takes over when it’s time for me to work and when I’m on stage, this alter ego that I’ve created that kind of protects me and who I really am,” the former Destiny’s Child frontwoman said in a statement. “Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I’m working and when I’m on the stage.” Additionally, she has set up a cryptic MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/sashafierce) that gives a “lucky person” the opportunity to receive a personal message and a gift bag valued at $500.

So … lemme get this straight. Beyoncé created an alter-ego to draw attention away to “protect herself” and is now telling anyone who will listen (and offering a cash prize to anyone interested in giving a damn) that the alter-ego is actually her. Clearly, Beyoncé would make an horrrrrrible superhero cuz she just can’t keep a secret. As you may recall, Beyoncé released 2 music videos recently … and one of them features Ms. Sasha Fierce. Methinks Mrs. Jay-Z has got way too much time on her hands.
