On Monday we learned that Lindsay Lohan‘s attempt to hire Stuart V. Goldberg as her new lawyer (in place of Shawn Chapman Holley, who wants desperately to quit as Lindsay‘s lawyer) didn’t quite work out … but today we learn that she successfully hired Robert Shapiro (the man who successfully got OJ Simpson acquitted of the murder of his wife) to be her new attorney. It is being reported that Shapiro is hoping to get Judge Marsha Revel to rescind Lindsay‘s 90 day jail sentence in lieu of serving the same time in a rehab program. Last night, a group of Lindsay‘s family and friends made their way to the Pickford Lofts (which is a sober living rehab facility that was founded by Robert Shapiro, btw) after she secretly checked herself in for treatment Wednesday afternoon. My guess is that Shapiro will try to convince the judge that she should stay in this rehab facility rather than go to jail:

In perhaps a last-minute attempt to avoid jail, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan secretly checked into a sober living home founded by famed Los Angeles attorney Robert Shapiro, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. Lohan arrived at Pickford Lofts in West Hollywood, California around 3:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday, and managed to slip inside without cameras catching her. Later Wednesday night, RadarOnline.com captured video of Lindsay’s on-again-off-again girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson outside the home. She visited with LiLo for about a half an hour before leaving to pick up some groceries and extra pillows for the Mean Girls star. Lindsay’s mother, Dina, arrived at Pickford Lofts around Midnight, and didn’t answer any questions as she entered the home with another woman. Then, around 1 a.m. Thursday, long after Sam had left, Lindsay’s other rumored gal pal, Israeli military vet Eilat Anschel, also visited her at Pickford Lofts. In its website, Pickford Lofts is described as a facility which “strives to offer a safe haven so that those in all stages of recovery can develop skills that will aid them in their journey of sobriety.” It was founded by Shapiro after he lost his son Brent to substance abuse.

This is a brilliant move by Robert Shapiro … but according to the District Attorney, who successfully convinced Judge Revel to jail Lohan in addition to ordering a stint in rehab, it’s all a waste of time. District Attorney Danette Meyers is confident that Judge Revel will not overturn her own sentencing and is sure Lindsay will have to submit to jail next week. I’m sure Meyers would have no problem with Lindsay going back to Pickford Lofts after she completes her jail sentence. I wish I could be happier about Lindsay‘s preemptive move to enter rehab this week but I know it’s merely a ploy to try and keep her out of jail. We’ll see if this attempt to avoid jail will be successful or not. My guess is that it will not … but at least Lindsay is getting herself acquainted with the rehab facility she may end up at AFTER she does her time in jail.

Over the weekend we heard that Samantha Ronson, former girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan, stuck up for her on Twitter against a barrage of mean-spirited jokes leveled at her by comedienne Joan Rivers. News of Sam‘s support shouldn’t come as any surprise to us because altho the ladies ended their relationship some time ago, they have remained friends. Just last night, Lindsay and Sam stepped out for a sushi dinner together at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills, CA … just like the good ol’ days. Here is a photo of L. I’ve always contended that Lindsay Lohan was at her stable, trouble-free best when she was with Samantha … I’m not sure if the ladies will ever be able to reunite as a couple again but it’s nice to be reminded of the good ol’ days when Lindsay and Sam were in love … and out of trouble.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson may have broken up ages ago but the pair were reunited in cyberspace for moment yesterday on the social networking site known as Twitter. L. Lo, amongst her stream of not-very-interesting tweets, posted a message asking the Twitterverse for more followers … Sam, an avid Twitter user herself, responded to Lindsay‘s plea. Here is how the exchange went down:

Hahahaha!! It’s unclear if Sam‘s tweet was meant to be cheeky or she really wants her to go away — permanently but … I LOLed. While I’m bummed that L. Ron couldn’t make it work, I think things work out for the best. Lindsay was stable for a very long time when she was with Samantha … now, she’s a mess again without Sam. Superstar DJ Samantha Ronson and American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert were the best of buds in London, England last night where the two were spotted in close company together. Sam had a DJ gig at a club called Chinawhite and Glambert was in town doing a bit of promo … the BFFs apparently ran into one another and decided to make a night of it:

I have to say, these two strike me as unlikely friends but I bet they had a great time together last night. You can kinda sorta tell that Sam was having fun because she’s not quite as scowly as she usually looks in photos ;) While I may not be a fan of Glambert‘s music, I suspect he’s a fun guy to hang around with. It’s unknown of these two will continue to hang out together in the future but I understand they had a blast together last night. Who knows, mebbe a new celebrity couple (of friends, that is) is born.

Superstar DJ Samantha Ronson is bringing a bit of her starpower to The CW TV series 90210 as she will be appearing on an upcoming episode of the show where she will play herself in a bit of a mentor role for one of the 90210 kids. Why hire an actress to play the coolest deejay in town when you can get the real thing? The producers of 90210 have confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE that Samantha Ronson, the celebrity deejay and on-and-off again girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan, has filmed an episode of the CW show. Ronson’s scenes take place in a club where hip-hop star Pharrell and his group N.E.R.D. also perform. Her role also has her advising the character, Navid, played by Michael Steger, on matters of the heart. There is no word yet on whether or not Ronson will be return to the famous zip code for another stint. Her episode will air the CW on Nov. 3.

Awwww, I love this! It makes sense that Samantha would want to make a guest appearance on a dramatic TV series … after all, she’s already got MUCH experience with the dramatic in her everyday life. No word on if Sam‘s ex-girlfriend and sometimes actress Lindsay Lohan will be paying a visit to the famous zip code but something tells me that producers aren’t even interested. My guess is that they wouldn’t want anyone bringing more drama on set that would overshadow the drama on the show.

Yesterday was Lindsay Lohan‘s 23rd birthday and who did she spend her entire day with? Why, Samantha Ronson, of course. It’s unknown if the ladies are officially back together romantically but they have been spending quite a bit of time together in recent weeks … so at the very least we can assume that they are still very friendly towards one another. The DJ whisked the Mean Girls actress off for an intimate lunch date at Tra Di Noi in Malibu to celebrate her birthday. Lindsay turned just 23 … She carried on celebrations with a dinner at Cecconi’s restaurant just hours later, where baloons and presents were delivered in her honour. As well as spending the day together, Lindsay and Samatha were also busy exchanging gushing messages on Twitter. The 31-year-old wished her happy birthday on the micro-blogging site followed by a kiss and hug, to which Lindsay replied: ‘Awww thanks baybee lol.’ It comes just weeks after friends declared Samantha was wanting to cut Lindsay out of her life for good. A close source told America’s People magazine: “No matter how many times she promises to change, Lindsay loses control and starts acting like a maniac.” But it seems that Samantha has had a change of heart – for now at least.

Oh yes, the drama appears to be water under the bridge as L. Ron looks like they are back on happy terms again. It’s always very nice when you can celebrate your birthday with the person you love most, right? Reports of the dunzoness of Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson appear to be greatly exaggerated as the duo were spotted in close company here in SoCal last night … for the second time this week. In the wake of the shocking news of Michael Jackson‘s death yesterday, it appears that L. Ron decided to pair up and remember/mourn the loss together in solidarity. Lindsay wore a Michael Jackson-esque military jacket and Samantha wore a vintage MJ t-shirt out on the town last night:

I believe Samantha Ronson DJed at Villa nightclub last night and did NOT refuse a single Michael Jackson song request. As I’ve said all along, I love seeing L. Ron together when they both look so happy. While I’m sure the pair were mourning the loss of a great pop icon, they really do look genuinely happy to be spending time together in these photos. Grief can bring estranged couples back together again … I guess we’ll have to see where the love story between Lindsay and Sam goes from here.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, who were each randomly in the UK at the same time, have ended their stay and have each made their way back to SoCal … and wouldn’t you know it — L. Ron ran into one another at London’s Heathrow Airport! The ladies were photographed in close proximity for the first time in months. Then, shortly after their arrival back home in LA, Lindsay was snapped making her way into Samantha‘s home … could it be that the ladies are finally back on?

The on-off relationship between Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson appears to be very much back on. After being pictured flying out from London’s Heathrow Airport together, Lindsay was seen heading straight for Samantha’s house in Los Angeles, where she let herself in. While Sam was out looking at new cars at a Porsche dealership, the actress made herself comfortable and it appears the pair are living together again. The rollercoaster relationship between the two took an upward turn as the pair flew back to Los Angeles together yesterday. The couple, who appear to have rekindled their on-off romance after some persistent chasing by LiLo, were pictured checking in at Heathrow airport. Then they headed off to the first class lounge – holding hands. Lindsay, 22, was flashing a ring on her engagement finger and appeared to confirm the reunion on her Twitter micro-blogging page. She also hinted that she had an announcement to make. She wrote:

The actress had spent much of the past week chasing DJ Samantha, 31, around London in an attempt to rekindle their relationship and it seems that her persistence has paid off. She was pictured leaving Samantha’s hotel yesterday afternoon after apparently spending the night with her. Lindsay emerged from Blakes Hotel in South Kensington wearing dark sunglasses while a smiling Samantha exited shortly afterwards.

HMMM … yes, it seems as if L. Ron are back on. When I read that tweet from Lindsay, I was certain she was talking about traveling with Samantha. While I doubt that there will be any sort of substantive announcement from the couple, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of them together as the Summer rolls on. I, for one, am happy at this news. Here’s hoping that there will be no more drama for L. Ron and nothing but blissful lurve. I mean … well, we’ll see.
