For the past few weeks I’ve been hearing about how Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried have been gettin’ hot and heavy together as Hollywood’s new couple but the pair have managed to keep their coupling under wraps … until now. Ryan and Amanda were spotted together at Fred Segal in West Hollywood, CA yesterday for the first time. It would appear that they are ready for the world to see them together together.

On Tuesday we learned the joyous news that Reese Witherspoon and CAA agent Jim Toth have gotten engaged to be married after only about a year of dating … and today we get to hear from Reese‘s ex-husband Ryan Phillippe about the happy couple’s engagement. Phillippe released an official statement to The New York Daily News expressing his happiness for Reese … after all, he only wants the best for the mother of his children.

The temperature has finally soared into the 90s here in SoCal this week which means that actor Ryan Phillippe took every opportunity to strip down as much as possible to deal with the heat. Here are photos of Ryan in a very hot tank top on the LA set of his new film The Lincoln Lawyer:

Yes, folks, it was HOT here in LA yesterday so I’m not surprised that Ryan was wearing as little as possible in between takes. Ryan Phillippe has found himself a new ladylove … he and model/actress Alexis Knapp spent Memorial Day weekend together and were spotted making a supply run at a liquor store here in SoCal. I believe this is the first time that the pair have been spotted out and about together … might this be the birth of a serious new relationship?

Now, I don’t know many lasting relationships that have been borne of impromptu trips to the liquor store but, hey … anything is possible. Alexis sure don’t look very happy in these photos but I think that has more to do with her injured arm than with being spotted with Hottie McHotness Ryan Phillippe. We’ll have to keep our eyes on these two to see if anything will come of this new involvement. I, for one, would love to see Ryan happy in love again.

Now, because it was very hot in SoCal over the weekend (I hear), Ryan didn’t keep his black overshirt on for long. As soon as the heat got to him, the shirt came off and — well — this is what he looked like:

Yay!! I’m so glad things are heating up in SoCal these days … because as the temps go up, the clothing comes off and we get to enjoy more photos like this :) I am really looking forward to the coming Summer … wee!! Oh and thanks for the pick me up, Ryan!!

Ryan Phillippe, who will be starring in this Summer’s Saturday Night Live movie McGruber, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Inked magazine. Devoted to skin art, Inked talks to Ryan about the 6 tattoo’s he’s had done as well as things about his personal and professional life. Here is Ryan‘s Inked coverphoto along with some excerpts from his interview:

When Ryan Phillippe lifts up his shirt in the middle of the bar at SoHo’s Crosby Street Hotel, it’s surprising that no one faints … Surely it’s happened before. But not today. Today everyone remains calm. To be fair, it isn’t as tawdry as it sounds. Ryan has lifted his shirt simply to show off his tattoo—an image of his son Deacon’s hand gripping Ryan’s grandfather’s hand—from the beloved artist Mister Cartoon. Like his career, Ryan takes his tattoos very seriously. “It’s really beautiful and soulful,” the 35-year-old actor says. “I went in there with this idea, and Cartoon loved it. He’s a soulful guy, and I have a connection with him that’s personal. I was so excited because he’s the top hip-hop artist, and I’m such a hip-hop head. He’s literally done everybody … Kanye West, Xzibit. You go into his studio and there’s a picture of him tattooing Eminem’s skull. It’s sort of like a brotherhood. Cartoon said, ‘You’re part of the family now.’ It’s a cool family to be a part of. He’s done three on me now.” For most people, Cartoon’s waiting list is months long, but it helps if you’re a famous actor who’s appeared in more than 20 movies, including Flags of Our Fathers, Crash, 54, Cruel Intentions, and this month’s MacGruber, a big-budget comedy based on Saturday Night Live’s popular MacGyver spoof … At 19, while on location in England for his first big movie, White Squall, Ryan had another coming-of-age moment: He got his first tattoo. He takes a sip of his tequila cocktail and points to a Japanese character that stands for spirit or soul on his right arm. “I went to this shady, dirty tattoo parlor because I wanted to commemorate my first major role,” he says, smiling. “I grew up with no money or connections to the business. My family struggled, and finally I’d gotten to the place where I was making a film with Jeff Bridges. I felt like I’d arrived.” Of his six tattoos, Ryan says his first is the most embarrassing. “It’s kind of bleeding and looks like a butterfly. It’s cliché. But I was 19—it should have been a cliché.” So would he ever get it covered? “No, but I did have a ladybug on my foot covered up. Its significance was with an ex. I put a stingray over the top of it. When people ask me why, I say, ‘Any animal that could take down the Crocodile Hunter deserves my respect.’” The ex? “An ex,” he says, looking uncomfortable.

The interview goes on from there where he talks a bit about what he went thru in his break-up with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon a few years ago as well as his break-up with ex-girlfriend Abbey Cornish earlier this year. Earlier this week we learned that Ryan Phillippe would be hosting this weekend’s ep of Saturday Night Live and last night was his big night. Considering how funny last week’s ep with Tiny Fey as host was, I had high hopes that the hilarity would carry over into this week … unfortch, that was not the case. The skits, you shouldn’t be all that surprised to learn, were not funny and only rarely did I actually laugh at a joke because it was funny (and not dumb … out of pity). There were a couple of skits that I actually enjoyed but, as usual, they weren’t perfect nor well executed. Ryan looked good, tho … at least there’s that:

I loved Kristen Wiig‘s impersonation as Björk in the first skit of the night and I loved the female weight-lifting skit (mainly because the jokes were so gross-funny that I had to groan while I was laughing … front butt, really?). The rest of the show was kinda blah … The Hip-Hop Kids skit could’ve been funnier, the Digital Skit was not funny in the least and the Weekend Update was hit or miss (the biggest Update hit was the inclusion of Father Swimcoach Scoutmaster). Meh. To be honest, I wasn’t all that disappointed because this is what I’ve come to expect from SNL. To make up for the horror of seeing Michael Lohans‘ pointy nipples, I present to you ripped actor Ryan Phillippe on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Health magazine. In his coverstory interview, Ryan opens up about the sadness he still feels about his divorce from Reese Witherspoon and in his accompanying photospread, he shows off his sick bod. Here is our first look at Ryan‘s Men’s Health coverphoto and some excerpts from his interview:

The marriage of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon may have ended nearly three years ago – but he admits to having unresolved emotions about the split. “I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce,” Phillippe, who also recently broke up with live-in girlfriend Abbie Cornish, says in the May issue of Men’s Health, on newsstands Tuesday. “But how beneficial is it to keep hanging onto those feelings?” Phillippe, 35, who has two children with Witherspoon, is also surprised by the self-discoveries he’s making as he ages. “I thought the most experience you had, the more certain you would be about life,” he says. “But I’m finding the opposite, man. I’m more in wonder and confusion than I was in my 20s.” For inspiration, Phillippe says he looks to Clint Eastwood, 79, who directed him in 2006′s Flags of Our Fathers. “He’s in the latter part of his experience on the planet, and he’s still growing,” Phillippe says. “He’s open to new ideas and he’s changing the way he sees things … It’s something I want to encourage in myself: Don’t close off.” Judging by his role in the upcoming MacGruber, Phillippe appears to be taking that mission seriously. The actor exercises his comedic chops in the movie, which originated as a Saturday Night Live sketch as a spoof of the ’80s TV hit MacGyver. (Phillippe will appear on SNL April 17.) “I tend to internalize and analyze, but with them, there’s none of that,” Phillippe says of his MacGruber costars, Kristen Wiig and Will Forte. “There was no edit, no judgment. It was just a really free atmosphere.”

As we learned yesterday, Ryan will be hosting Saturday Night Live this coming weekend and I’m certain we will get a taste of his McGruber-ness in one of the skits. I’m still worried that the film will be a bomb (like most films made out of SNL skits) but I’d honestly see Ryan Phillippe in pretty much anything … tho, I’d prefer to see him in nothing at all ;) And speaking of his wearing nothing, check out a few photos from his Men’s Health photospread, after the jump …

This weekend hottie actor Ryan Phillippe will be hosting Saturday Night Live and NBC just released a video of promo clips for his upcoming gig. Here are a few screencaps of Ryan announcing this weekend’s upcoming ep of SNL alongside SNL castmember Will Forte:

As you may already know, Phillippe and Forte will be co-starring in a feature film adaptation of the SNL skit McGruber so I expect they’ll be doing a McGruber skit together this weekend. While I am not convinced that SNL skits are really strong enough to make viable films, I’m willing to give Ryan Phillippe the benefit of the doubt. Over the weekend, just before the Easter celebrations got started on Sunday, Ryan Phillippe and his BFF/personal assistant did a bit of shopping together in West Hollywood, CA. Ryan drove his friend to a medical marijuana shop and waited in the car for his friend to make his purchase. A short while later, the friend came out of the shop with a paper bag and the BFFs drove off together … behold:

I would assume that the friend has a medical marijuana card that would allow him to make this legal purchase, I suppose Ryan was just being a bud by offering to drive. While it’s entirely possible that these two friends might share their goods with one another, I would never presume that Ryan Phillippe would be the kind of guy to be doing anything … untoward. That being said, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if this year Phillippe‘s Easter basket was filled with some pretty potent Easter grass ;)
