We haven’t heard much from Ryan Phillippe recently but now we have news that he will be the lead in a new TV series. He isn’t really known as a TV actor, despite signing onto the final season of Damages. This will be his first pilot and he has been cast as the lead in the upcoming CBS cop drama. The show hasn’t been named as yet but centers around a cop, Clark, who is played by Ryan, and follows his rise through the ranks from officer to detective and then police commissioner. What do you think of Ryan Phillippe in the role of a cop? Hmm….

Has the harsh glare of fame and fortune finally taken its toll on Ryan Phillippe? Ryan, who ironically plays a photojournalist in his new film, gave an interview to The New York Post where he reveals that the paparazzi attention that he gets on a constant basis is forcing him to consider retirement! Phillippe confesses that he’s not ready to quit Hollywood altogether but he might be interested in retiring as an actor so that he can work in the biz behind the scenes.

Earlier this week we saw photos of lovebirds Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe enjoying a touristy date together in the romantic city of Paris, France. Today we learn that the couple have made their way to London, England to carry on their love affair. Actually, the pair are in Europe promoting their new films Red Riding Hood (Amanda) and The Lincoln Lawyer (Ryan) but … if they can squeeze in a holiday in between promo events then it’s all good. Last night, Amanda and Ryan hit the streets of London … but, apparently, they weren’t too keen on being seen.

Yesterday we saw photos of the couple enjoying a fun, touristy date night in Paris and today we get to see photos of the couple hanging out together near the famed Eiffel Tower. Perhaps in an effort to get into the spirit of the city (or mebbe because they hate their lungs), Amanda and Ryan smoked a couple of cigarettes together near the tower … which, IMHO, doesn’t look very cute.

Yesterday we saw photos of lovebirds Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe (along with third wheel Matthew McConaughey) as they made their arrival in Paris, France together. It turns out that Ryan and Matthew are in Paris to promote their new film The Lincoln Lawyer and Amanda tagged along for a romantic getaway with loverman Phillippe. Ryan and Amanda were spotted on a jog together yesterday afternoon which proves, at the very least, that the couple are still friendly … and at the most, are still hookin’ up.

This week a new paternity claim have been made against actor Ryan Phillippe by his model ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp who claims that he is the father of her incubating baby. Today we are hearing that Ryan is not only willing to take a paternity test to determine if he the father of Alexis‘s baby but will also step up to provide for the child should it be proven to be his. Ryan was all smiles here in Hollywood yesterday when he was photographed out in public (which is a very rare occurrence … her, the smiling, not the being out in public) so either he is really confident that he is not the father or he is really looking forward to being a dad again.

Welp, just about a month after Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfriend went public with their lurve, it is my sad duty to pass along the bummer news that the couple are over already. As you may recall, just last week we saw photos of a happy Ryan shopping for a Valentine’s Day gift for Amanda … which, I’m guessing, she hated. According to a new report from US Weekly, Amanda and Ryan are now dunzo!

Last month we saw the first photos of newish couple Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried out and about in public together … and I think it’s safe to assume that they will still be a couple for Valentine’s Day next week. Yesterday, Ryan was spotted doing a bit of shopping for Amanda at the ubertrendy Zadig & Voltaire … I wonder what he got her.
