Robbie Williams, who has reunited with Take That — the boyband that made his famous in the early 90′s, cheekily bared his ass on Danish TV this week. To be honest, it doesn’t take much to get Robbie to bare his bum but at least now he’s doing it in the service of Take That promotion once again:

He’s bared his soul in records, documentaries and biographies and even stripped for one of his videos – and it seems Robbie Williams just can’t help over-sharing. The cheeky Take That singer bared his bottom live on Danish television last night as bandmate Mark Owen looked on and cracked up. The butt of many jokes over the years, Take That have now however been crowned king man band with the rejoining of William – but this kind of barefaced behaviour could be seen by some as below the belt. Robbie, 36, – and some would argue old enough to know better – showed off his hairy bum as the band played Tivoili amusement park in Copenhagen. Their performance of current single The Flood was being filmed by show ‘TV2 Good Evening Denmark’.

On Sunday we learned that British popstar Robbie Williams wed the very lovely Ayda Field here in LA over the weekend and altho we got to see a photo of the couple taken from a distance we have yet to see any official wedding photos … until now. Robbie and Ayda, the happy newlyweds, are featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Hello! magazine … behold:

It’s really amazing to hear Robbie talk so fondly of the woman he loves … the woman that he credits with saving his life. Longtime fans know that Rob has had a long history of substance abuse and worked his way thru a string of ladyfriends … that is, until he met Ayda and she helped him get his life in order. I know there aren’t a lot of Robbie Williams fans here in the US (he’s like the male Kylie Minogue) but I’ve been a fan for a while and I’m just loving this new settled down Robbie. Congratulations are in order for British pop star Robbie Williams and the woman he credits with saving his life, his long-time love Ayda Field … because yesterday in a fairly intimate ceremony held at their mansion here in LA the couple got themselves married!! That’s right, the notorious playboy pop star finally settled down with the woman of his dreams. Robbie and Ayda got hitched, y’all!

She is the woman Robbie Williams credits with helping him conquer his well-publicised demons and ‘learn to love again’. And last night, the superstar singer reportedly confirmed his commitment to long-term girlfriend Ayda Field – who he playfully calls his ‘Swiss Army Knife’ – as they were married in an intimate ceremony in front of a handful of family and friends at his £13 million Beverly Hills mansion. Williams, 36, was so insistent on keeping the wedding venue secret that even the couple’s closest friends were uncertain of the details. In fact – there has still been no confirmation for the star’s spokespeople that the marriage has definitely went ahead, resulting is some very different reports today. While US magazine People has printed a quote from a source saying the wedding did go ahead and that it was ‘very beautiful and romantic’, The Sun claims the wedding is not actually going ahead until tomorrow. The Mirror has reported the wedding did go ahead and the celebrations were to a great extent organised by Williams’s mother. The newspaper has also claimed alcohol was banned throughout the celebrations. A friend of 31-year-old actress Ayda said: ‘The ‘save the date’ cards that went out two weeks ago only said it was a party to celebrate Robbie’s 20 years in showbusiness. ‘It was only in the last few days that news leaked out that it was going to be a wedding. Robbie is the happiest I have ever seen him. He says that until Ayda came along he didn’t know what it was like to be truly happy. He credits her with teaching him how to learn to laugh and love again.’

So much secrecy … sounds kinda unnecessary. I can appreciate that Robbie wanted to keep his wedding as quiet as possible so as not to draw too much attention but he’s not really well known here in the US at all … but he is an international pop star and, as is clearly evident, the interested media showed up to report on his nuptials none the less. Yesterday we learned from NME that Robbie Williams‘s mother Jan spilled the news that Robbie and his girlfriend Ayda Field got themselves engaged to be wed. While I thought the news was good, I wasn’t entirely sure I believed it … turns out my instincts were correct because shortly after the story began to spread, Robbie posted a message on his official website that it was all a joke — he and Ayda are NOT engaged to be married:

Robbie Williams has denied he is engaged to girlfriend Ayda Field. In a blog post on Robbiewilliams.com titled ‘Robbie And Ayda: Are They Or Aren’t They?’, Williams addressed the recent speculation around his supposed engagement, and said simply:

“Hey all. We are not engaged. Rob x”

The news comes a day after Williams’ mother Jan told BBC Radio 5 live that the singer and Field were definitely engaged. “I’ve got a daughter-in-law, I’ve always wanted a daughter-in-law!” she told the station, adding that Williams had told her a week ago that he was planning to propose. Rumours that Williams and Field were engaged spread initially after the singer appeared to propose to her live on an Australian radio show early yesterday morning (November 27). However, Williams’ spokesperson later explained that he had only been joking during the show.

HMMM … I think this is the part where we are supposed to laugh. Go ahead … I’ll wait. Yeah, so funny, huh?

NME is reporting today that according to Jan Williams, mother of UK popstar Robbie Williams, Robbie and his his US girlfriend Ayda Field have gotten engaged to be wed … and that the nuptials will prolly take place very soon. Now, take this news with a grain of salt but … considering that the info is coming from Robbie‘s mother, well, it might actually turn out to be true:

Robbie Williams’ mum Jan has confirmed that he has proposed to his US actress partner Ayda Field. Williams and Field were rumoured to be tying the knot after they spoke about it on Australian radio station 2Day FM earlier today (November 27), although the singer’s management stressed that they had been joking during the conversation. However, Jan Williams has now confirmed that the couple – who have been together for three years – are to wed. She told BBC Radio 5 live that Williams told her he was planning to propose about a week ago. “He’s wanted to do something different and she’s a lovely girl and I’m really pleased for them,” Jan Williams explained, adding: “I’ve got a daughter-in-law, I’ve always wanted a daughter-in-law!” She didn’t confirm whether the couple’s on-air conversation was the actual proposal or whether Williams had previously asked Field to marry him in private. Speaking about when she thought the couple would marry, Williams admitted a ceremony could take place sooner rather than later. “I don’t think it will be that far in the too-distant future, but that’s all I’m going to say on that,” she explained. Williams added that her son has already chosen a ring for Field.

The only thing that keeps me from totally believing this engagement report is the fact that Robbie Williams is a NOTORIOUS joker … it’s really hard to believe almost anything he says cuz he mostly speaks in jest, especially in interviews. That said, if Mama Williams is blabbin’ the news, it’s possible that she may know what she’s talking about. I’m gonna wait for official confirmation from the couple that they are gettin’ wed before I rush out to buy a wedding gift but … I’m willing extend cautious congratulations to the happy couple right now :)

Robbie Williams, who has a new album on the way and a new single called Bodies on the airwaves, was spotted making a grand exit from his hotel in Paris, France this week while wearing a silk robe and while wielding a pink light saber … behold:

I’m not sure what the kimono + light saber ensemble has to do with … well … anything … but I suppose it just goes along with Robbie‘s kooky nature. The music video for his new single is pretty cool … it’s great to have him back on the scene … not that anyone in the US even knows who he is, mind you … but at least I’m happy to see him back in the spotlight again … light saber and all.

Robbie Williams surfaced in Hollywood, CA last night proudly showing off a full head of hair that most men would be proud of … especially if “most men” refers solely to Donald Trump. If John Mayer was anxious trying to emulate the hairstyle of Alex P. Keaton in Family Ties, then it seems pretty clear that Robbie is prolly doing his best to duplicate The Donald‘s stylish ‘do. Despite the fact that Donald Trump has thin wisps of hair (prolly plugs) to work with, at least Robbie has a thick mane of hair to pile and comb-over on his head (not to mention the thick hair he’s got on his chest … which he is happy to show off). It’s deffo a look … not sure if it’s a good look for Robbie … but it’s a look nonetheless.
