An Evening With ‘Rick & Steve’ (And Steph & Alek)

The TV Guide
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Last night I met up with Steph and Alek for a little dinner at the new SBE restaurant here in LA called XIV (it’s the restaurant where Heidi Montag got fired on last week’s ep of The Hills) and, to be honest, I wasn’t really expecting the place to be all that. I was way wrong. We dined French style, with an 11 course meal (no worries, they were small portions for each of us) that was TO DIE FOR! I can’t even adequately describe how good the food was but fortch, S&A managed to photograph some of the sumptuousness. The place gets high marks from me … it’s a bit pricey but I think worth the dough. I plan on taking David there when he’s in SoCal next ;)

Afterward, we made our way to East West for a preview screening party of the second season premiere of the LOGO animated series Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All of The World … you may recall that I mentioned that I guest star on the premiere ep which airs TONIGHT on LOGO at 10PM. Here are a few pics from last night’s fun:

Much love goes out to Alan who writes Rick & Steve (and asked me to be on the show) and Dave who runs LOGO for all their amazingness. I’m so pleased with the way the ep turned out … I can’t wait for y’all to see it when it airs TONIGHT :) I have to give a shout out to Pink readers Kurt, Susan and Nick who I got to meet and take a photo with last night … it was a pleasure meeting you all :) Later on in the week, I’ll have some behind-the-scenes photos and goss from my Rick & Steve appearance … it’s pretty cool :)

Tonight, Darion, Kirsten and I are hauling our cookies down to La Jolla, CA to see Xanadu on stage! It’s a long drive but we’re very excited to see it. We’ve got seats ON STAGE so it should be very fun. Wee!!

First Look: Trent Vanegas On LOGO’s ‘Rick & Steve’

A video preview
Monday, November 10th, 2008

On Friday I posted a preview screencap of my animated cameo on tomorrow night’s season two premiere episode of Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All of The World and today I get to share with you a short video clip of my appearance in the ep … check it out:

LOL! OMG … it’s soooooo fun, right? I should explain that I did not record my lines with either of the other characters in the clip. I went in on my own and recorded my lines (a few times, actually) and the animators animated me (rockin’ the faux hawk) and the producers put us all together as if we were actually talking to one another. You prolly also noted that my voice uttering my line, “He is so dunzo!” is not actually coming out of my mouth. I’m told that the error has been reported to the producers but it’s unclear if they’ll be able to fix it for the final airing on TV tomorrow. BUT, make sure you tune in to LOGO tomorrow night at 10PM to watch the ep in full to see how I came to make it into the animated world of Rick & Steve :)

Trent Vanegas To Guest Star On ‘Rick & Steve’

I got animated, y'all!
Friday, November 7th, 2008

At last … I am finally able to share some very exciting and fun news with all y’all. Earlier this year, I was asked to do a guest appearance on the insanely funny LOGO animated series Rick & Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in All The World and I immediately accepted. At the time, I hinted that I had “a thing” to do but couldn’t talk about it until now. The new season of Rick & Steve premieres on LOGO this coming Tuesday November, 11 at 10PM and an animated version of me (with my voice) will appear in that season premiere ep. Here is a screencap of what I look like in the animated world of Rick & Steve:

LOL! I’m cute, right? I’ve already been able to see the clip of my cameo and I gotta say, I think it’s really freakin’ awesome. I can’t wait for y’all to see it. I have some fun behind-the-scenes stuff to share from my experience taping my voice work. Woot! I’m so glad the new season of Rick & Steve is nearly upon us! Make sure you tune on next Tuesday night at 10PM on LOGO to watch my world premiere as an animated character ;)
