The world premiere of the new Disney action film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides took place on Main Street inside Disneyland in Anaheim, CA last night and a veritable who’s who of big name celebs were in the hizzy for the main event. Among the biggest stars in attendance was Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and others. Oh yeah, there were some Hollywood celebs at the event as well. Lovebirds Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox were among the 200 volunteers who were on hand yesterday to serve Thanksgiving meals in Boston, MA in an effort to give back to those in need. As you may recall, yesterday we saw photos of some of the celebs who served Thanksgiving dinners here in SoCal but Eliza and Rick were doing their part to give of their time and energy in Boston:

A [trio] of celebrities spanning the sports, political and entertainment helped serve Thanksgiving Day meals at a Boston homeless shelter. U.S. Senator Scott Brown was joined Thursday at the Pine Street Inn by actress Eliza Dushku and former pro basketball player Rick Fox, who’s fresh off a run on TV’s Dancing with the Stars. The three are the best known of the 200 volunteers who will help serve 1,500 dinners Thursday. The Pine Street Inn planned to roast 63 turkeys, and the fixings include 460 pounds of mashed potatoes and 307 pounds of corn and peas. Deserts were also chosen from an assortment of 188 traditional pies.

I just love these two so much and I really love that they decided to give so generously of their time to help feed the needy in their beloved Boston community. Much love and thanks goes out to not only Eliza, Rick and Senator Brown but also to the 197 other Bostonians who were on hand to help serve Thanksgiving meals yesterday at The Pine Street Inn as well as the countless other volunteers who continue to work with the needy all around the world. So many of us, me included, take for granted how rich our lives are … I’m always so impressed with the folks who work to enrich the lives of others. Well done Eliza and Rick … you guys rule!

At the start of this month we got our first look at a batch of promo photos for the upcoming 11th season of Dancing with the Stars with the celebs all paired up with their professional dance partners … today we get to see a few photos of some of the DWTS celebs making their way into or out of rehearsals for the show:

Altho my girl Margaret Cho isn’t included in this batch of rehearsal photos, I’m still pullin’ for her to win the trophy this season. That being said, I don’t think I’d be upset if Rick Fox, Jennifer Grey or Florence Henderson won … not that I think any of them will but I like them all well enough to root for them, too. Earlier this week we learned which “stars” had been signed on to compete in the upcoming 11th season of Dancing with the Stars and today we get to see some of those stars all paired up with their professional dancing partners in new promo photos released by ABC:

The new “Dancing with the Stars” pairs put on their best poses in the dancing costumes for the promotional photos of season 11. Bristol Palin had said before that she would wear the most conservative costume in the show’s history but the final result proved otherwise. “We did our title shoot today so I got all glammed up and stuff, but I’m definitely excited to wear all those,” the 19-year-old who is paired with Mark Ballas said in an interview with Us Magazine. “I know that mine will be the most conservative and I will be the most dressed. That’s because that’s how I am and that’s how I want to dress. But it’ll be good, all the rhinestones and spray tans, that will be fun.” Comparably, her black dress in the promo is decent looking from the front view, but it has this hidden thigh-high slit as well as wide open back. Still, the title of the sexiest-looking female contestant is held by Audrina Patridge who wears a red two-piece with glitter details. Not seen in the pictures are Karina Smirnoff and The Situation who can only match their schedules one week before the show starts. Smirnoff who admitted that she is nervous about the limited time said they would have around five days to practice before the premiere on September 20.

As I proclaimed before, my support lies with the fabulous Margaret Cho … but I also got mad love for Jennifer Grey (whom I just re-fell in love with in her ’84 film Red Dawn), Florence Henderson (who doesn’t love Carol Brady?) and Rick Fox (merely because he is Eliza Dushku‘s man). A couple of weeks ago we learned the somewhat shocking news that Mike The Situation Sorrentino had been cast as a contestant on the upcoming 11th season of Dancing with the Stars. A few days later, we heard that Bristol Palin had also joined the cast. Today we learn that those two casting reports were true as the full cast line-up of DWTS season 11 has been announced:

Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron and co-host Brooke Burke revealed the identities of the celebrity cast live during Monday night’s Bachelor Pad broadcast. Except for Bolton and The Situation, all of the celebrities appeared live on stage with the Dancing with the Stars hosts as they were announced. “[They] couldn’t be here tonight,” Bergeron said as he announced Bolton and The Situation’s participation. With the exception of Massey, all the celebrities had previously been reported to be participating or be in talks to participate in Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh season. Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh season will premiere Monday, September 20 at 8PM ET/PT with a two-hour broadcast. All 12 celebrities will perform a Viennese waltz or cha cha routine with their professional partner during the premiere, and the couple with the lowest combination of the judges’ scores and home viewer votes will be eliminated on the following night’s results show. Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh-season professional partner pairings will be announced Wednesday morning on Good Morning America. However according to Edyta Sliwinska — the only professional dancer to participate in all of the ABC ballroom dancing competition’s first ten seasons — she won’t be among this season’s partners. Earlier today, Sliwinska said she quit Dancing with the Stars due to a disagreement with the show’s producers.

You may recall that I was very excited about the last season of Dancing with the Stars earlier this year when it was announced that Shannen Doherty would be among the contestants. My interest in the show was very short-lived because Shannen was the first contestant voted off the show despite the fact that there were far worse contestants left in the mix. This season I can’t say that I’m all that interested in watching … but I will be rooting for the amazing Margaret Cho to win it all! In the wake of the very sad news that Fox has canceled the Joss Whedon show Dollhouse, which stars Eliza Dushku, Eliza and her paramour Rick Fox made their way out to a LA Lakers basketball game in an attempt get cheered up … but from the looks on Eliza‘s face all night long, it doesn’t appear that she got cheered up at all. Here are a few pics of Eliza and Rick at the Lakers game last night along with a few tweets from her official Twitter profile posted yesterday about the end of Dollhouse:

Hear it here. Hey, that’s really why I started twitter, the rumors/news IS true: Dollhouse will not cont. past these 13 eps :( BUT… There’s always a but… I can’t express enough– this has been one of the MOST rewarding experiences of my career. Thank you guys!

Yeah, I’m sure Eliza is BUMMED about the end of Dollhouse. I loved her in the series, I loved seeing her on TV on a weekly basis and I loved that she starred in a Whedon project. I’m not sure if she’ll have the same opportunity again in the future but … well … the whole thing just sucks.

Eliza did tweet while she was at the game last night, showing that she might’ve been having a good time … or at least was being a good sport:

Heidi Klum stepped out last night for her first public appearance since giving birth two weeks ago to her fourth child Lou. As a HUGE fan of Hallowe’en, Klum decided that her 10th Annual Hallowe’en Costume Party would be the event to bring her back out onto the red carpet. Here are a few photos of Heidi with hubby Seal dressed as creepy crows along with some of the celeb guests who came out for her big party last night:

I understand that Heidi has been planning this year’s costume since July … she made quite a scary-looking bird. The SKYY Vodka sponsored event was held at Voyeur in West Hollywood, CA and managed to inspire Eliza Dushku and beau Rick Fox to dress up as vampire/zombie versions of Bonnie & Clyde … the affair also inspired Paris Hilton and beau Doug Reinhardt to dress up as a swan and the Tooth Fairy respectively … and inspired Rachel Zoe to dress up as her usual scary self …. EEEEEERIE!! As far as Hallowe’en parties go, it’s tough to outdo Heidi Klum‘s annual affair … it looks like it was a grand time, indeed.
