Here are a few new photos of Reese Witherspoon out in Venice, CA this weekend with her paramour Jake Gyllenhaal … and as you can tell by the first photo, she was sporting a very suspicious bump in her tummy region. Now, I’m not saying that she’s pregs or anything … but a photo does speak a thousand words … take a look:

Now, I have to state for the record that this suspicious first photo could be nothing more than a bunched up sweater … but I would be remiss if I didn’t at least post the pics for y’all to see and judge for y’allsselves ;) GyllenSpoon lunched at AXE restaurant before doing a bit of shopping on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. The couple were NOT seen looking at maternity wear or anything like that but … well … celebrity baby bumps are very much in vogue these days. Here’s hoping this “bump” turns out to be nothing at all. I’m not sure how I would react to the news of a baby GyllenSpoon on the way.

For the 35th year, the People’s Choice Awards were handed out to honor various entertainment outlets and actors as chosen by the people themselves. Last night’s award show was held at the Shrine Auditorium here in LA and brought out a cavalcade of celebs to collect their awards. The big winner of the night was The Dark Knight, which took home 5 People’s Choice Awards … but it turned out to be a big night for a few other folks as well. Here are some photos from the show and the press room and a run-down on who won what at last night’s affair:

Batman movie “The Dark Knight” soared away with five People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday including favorite movie and on-screen pairing for stars Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger to kick off Hollywood’s annual awards season. Country singer Carrie Underwood, who rose to fame on television talent show “American Idol,” was another big winner, hauling in three People’s Choice Awards for favorite female singer, country song “Last Name,” and star under 35 years-old. “Fans and people voting for me are what gave me a career in the first place,” Underwood said, acknowledging the voting by music lovers. “This is an amazing night.” The People’s Choice Awards, in its 35th edition this year, are a widely watched measure of popular appeal for Hollywood stars and they mark a starting point for the industry’s annual awards season which runs through the Oscars, the world’s top film awards, that take place in February. Adam Sandler was named funniest male star, Reese Witherspoon favorite female movie star, and Kate Hudson top leading lady among winners in more than 40 categories covering film, television, music and even online entertainment.

Sandler, Witherspoon and Hudson all echoed a familiar theme of the night by saying People’s Choice honors were special because they were voted on by fans, as opposed to critics or members of industry groups. The ceremony also has a more casual atmosphere compared to TV’s Emmy’s or the film industry’s Oscars, where black ties and ball gowns are mandatory. Noting that difference, Katherine Heigl, who accepted the trophy for best comedy movie for her “27 Dresses,” told reporters backstage that she wore a pants suit because “it was after the holidays, so I didn’t want to wear anything strapless or anything I had to suck in my stomach for.” Among film honors, “Dark Knight,” which was 2008′s top film at box offices with global ticket sales of nearly $1 billion, also proved to be the No. 1 movie of the night. Along with best film and on-screen match-up, it hauled in awards for favorite action movie, superhero for Bale as Batman, and for its cast. “The Secret Life of Bees” was the winner of best film drama and favorite independent film, and animated “Wall-E” was the No. 1 family film for People’s Choice voters. In the TV arena, medical show “House” was named favorite TV drama, and “Two and a Half Men” was best TV comedy. “The Mentalist” was top new TV drama while “Gary Unmarried” was the No. 1 new TV comedy. “House” star Hugh Laurie took home the trophy for favorite male TV star, and Christina Applegate took the honor of top female TV star for “Samantha Who?” Applegate, who revealed earlier this year that she underwent surgery for breast cancer, said the award meant a lot to her after a difficult year.” “I feel great. I really do,” she told reporters backstage. “Each week gets easier and each week gets better.” Ellen DeGeneres was named best TV talk show host and “Dancing With the Stars” was the people’s pick for No. 1 competition or reality TV show. Along with Underwood, top winners in music included Kid Rock for favorite rock song “All Summer Long,” Rascal Flatts for favorite group, Chris Brown best male singer and Katy Perry with best pop tune “I Kissed a Girl.”

I love the People’s Choice Awards primarily because the winners are determined by the people … which is unlike any other major award show. I had tickets to attend last night’s show but couldn’t make it because of a last minute meeting I had to attend late yesterday afternoon. As much as it bums me out that I couldn’t attend, I’m very happy with the way other things are going in my personal life right now … but I’m digressing. Much congrats to the winners of the PCAs this year. Let’s see if The Dark Knight is able to secure any other nominations and awards as the Awards Season carries on. Everyone’s favorite snoozy couple, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, spent part of their day doing a bit of shopping on Melrose Ave. yesterday and were snapped making their way out of the new Ralph Lauren Double RL Vintage Shop that just opened on Melrose … and Jake was seen with a little bag tucked under his arm (that might’ve contained a t-shirt, a tie or some undies perhaps?) as they left, behold:

Aren’t they just so exciting? Really takes your breath away, don’t it? As you may recall, GyllenSpoon were spotted courtside at the Staples Center cheering on the LA Lakers earlier this week so it appears that the couple are really doing all the fun LA things this week. I must say, I am a huge fan of the Double RL Vintage shops … I picked up my amazing 1950′s vintage army boots from the Greenwich Village Double RL store in NYC back in November (and have been living in ever since) and just picked up another little something at the SoHo Double RL store on my most recent visit to NY. This really isn’t meant to be a commercial for Double RL, it’s mostly a plea that Jake should give me a call when next he wants to go shopping there … I’m sure I could be of great help on his next shopping excursion … you know, picking out shirts, checking out accessories, getting in and out of clothes in the dressing room. Yeah, I’m just putting it out there … Jake, call me.

When last we saw lovebirds Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon the couple had sneaked off to Ojai, CA to do whatever it is that they do when they are together … but last night, the pair were spotted sitting courtside at the Staples Center in downtown LA where they were spied cheering on the LA Lakers … behold:

Actors Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal found a novel way of banishing the post-Christmas blues yesterday by watching a basketball game hand-in-hand. The couple appeared to be having a whale of a time as they cheered on the L.A. Lakers as the team played the Portland Trailblazers in Los Angeles. Witherspoon, 32, and Gyllenhaal, 28, clearly enjoy each other’s company as they spent most of the match laughing together. Seated in the front row next to movie mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg the pair watched the Lakers beat their rivals 100-86 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Oscar winner Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal, who met on the set of Rendition, have been dating since April 2007. The Walk The Line actress is divorced from actor Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children, Ava and Deacon. Witherspoon recently admitted she’s not sure if she wants to marry again. She said: “I don’t think about it much… it’s important to stay open to whatever your relationship evolves into. I have a certain idea of what I thought marriage is and the whole life and [the way] things are, and sometimes it doesn’t work out that way. There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. At the moment, I am not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again.”

Yack! I dunno if I’d be able to handle it if these two actually got hitched. I like them very much as pals who hang around together and nothing more. I don’t mind a Lakers game or two but the thought of GyllenSpoon taking their relationship into holy matrimony is where I draw the line. No way. No how. I won’t stand for it. Nope.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon made their way up to Ojai, CA this weekend to spend part of their holiday vacay together and away from the hustle and bustle of the big city … and while the couple were carrying on in their very boring manner, they managed to randomly run into fellow celeb Robert Downey, Jr. and his wife who were also hangin’ out in Ojai at the same time. Santa must’ve brought someone new sneakers this Christmas! Just after the holiday, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were geared up and power walking the hills in Ojai, near Witherspoon’s farm getaway. The couple’s surprise dates? Gyllenhaal’s Zodiac costar Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan. “It was cute, they were all wearing hiking gear,” says a source, “They seemed really relaxed. There were no kids around and they seemed like they were having a great time.” Not to fear, the couple brought Jake’s dog and also squeezed in time to engage in another trademark routine: grabbing a morning cup of coffee together.

OMG could these two be MORE boring? Seriously, if they slipped into a coma I’m not even sure anyone would even notice. I’m just STUNNED that someone as hawt as Jake Gyllenhaal could be wasted on such a snoozefest of a relationship. No offense to Reese Witherspoon, who I really do like, but she just doesn’t seem like the right person for him. They already act like an old married couple … and they’re neither old nor married. I really hope these two either jazz things up in the new year or move on to sunnier pastures. I really love me some Jakey poo but … trying to find anything interesting to talk about his relationship with Reese is just … zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

As y’all are well aware, yesterday was Jake Gyllenhaal‘s 28th birthday and to celebrate, he enjoyed a very intimate dinner with his current love interest (or whatever) Reese Witherspoon last night. The couple dined at Georgio Baldi in Santa Monica, CA and it looked like they were engaged in some pretty serious conversation. Here are a few pics of the couple at dinner last night … let’s see if we can listen in and hear what they were talking about:

Ruh-ro! It looks like Jakey poo got himself into a bit of trubs last night … methinks that his stalling Reese off on the nookie-nook is starting to lose it’s effectiveness. I mean, hell, can you blame Reese for wanting to get into the man’s pants? Hee hee … whatever the couple’s activities were last night, it is my sincere hope that Jake had a great birthday and I hope that he has an amazing year ahead. Happy Birthday again, Jakey poo!!

Earlier this week we saw pics of Reese Witherspoon enjoying a lovely afternoon stroll with Jake Gyllenhaal on the streets of London and late last week we saw photos of her son Deacon being escorted to karate class by his father Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend Abbie Cornish. Since then, Reese has made her way back home to SoCal (presumably, Jakey poo stayed in the UK where he is working on his new film Prince Of Persia: The Sands of Time) to take over karate class escorting duty for her little boy. I gotta say, Reese is one lucky women. She has all of THE cutest men in her life … and she always has. Not only is she currently dating our dear Jake Gyllenhaal but she is also mother to the adorable little Deacon Reese … a son that she had with Ryan Phillippe! I mean, it would be so easy to kinda hate her if she wasn’t so damn cute herself. From London to LA and prolly back to London again soon, Reese has been keeping herself very bizzy taking care of the men in her life … which prolly goes to show why she tends to have all the luck. If she ends up wedding, bedding and spawning with Jake Gyllenhaal, I’m not sure what I’ll end up doing. It would be so unfair for one woman to give birth to babies from both Ryan Phillippe and Jake Gyllenhaal. Do any of ya’ll think that Reese and Jake will ever go all the way and seal the deal?

Last Friday we got to see a few pics of Ryan Phillippe and girlfriend Abbie Cornish spending an afternoon with his children Ava and Deacon and today we get to see what mommy Reese Witherspoon has been up to. Here are new pics of Reese with her beloved Jake Gyllenhaal as they strolled the streets of London, England this weekend (hand-in-hand at times) doing a bit of laughing and shopping together. It pains me, as ever, to admit … they really do look cute together:

I understand that that little white bag that Reese is carrying is from Myla lingerie store. Yes, it would appear that things are coming along nicely betwixt these two. Jakey poo has taken to keeping his longer hair underwraps again … and even tho I think he looks quite fetching in his Fall outfit and knit hat combo, I would much prefer to see how his longer locks have been doing lately. They really do look happy don’t they? Yeah, it kills me, too.

Hallelujah! Contrary to a report over the weekend from the ever credible Daily Mail, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are officially denying that they have decided to be married this Xmas. I think a resounding, Praise Jebus! is apropos. First up, the engagement rumor and then the denial from the couple:

A very merry Christmas might be in store for one of Hollywood’s most low-key couples. Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal plan to tie the knot at Christmas, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. Gyllenhaal, 27, reportedly told friends that he and his Oscar-winning girlfriend, 32, will marry on or around Dec. 19 – his birthday. “Jake is telling everyone they are getting married at Christmas,” said a source on the set of the actor’s new film, “Prince of Persia.” “He told me he had proposed several times but she kept telling him she wanted to give their relationship more time. When he asked her again a couple of weeks ago, she finally said yes.”

Fortunately, the couple released a statement to People magazine today shooting down this wildly inaccurate report:

Reps for Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are denying tabloid reports that the couple are engaged. “They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports,” the reps tell PEOPLE exclusively, calling the reports “lies.”

And we can all heave a collective sigh of relief. I mean, I really am trying to get used the idea of GyllenSpoon together as a couple (even tho they haven’t really officially announced that they are romantically involved in the first place) but I dunno that my fragile little heart can take the notion of the two of them getting married … or even engaged! No, I think I like things just the way they are … ambiguous and, hopefully, fleeting.
