Reese Witherspoon’s new movie, This Means War, will be out on Feb 14th (Valentines Day) and today MTV released a snippet of the upcoming flick. Reese has done a lot of rom-coms but this is a bit of an action film crossed with a romantic-comedy. Read below for more details about the film and watch the clip. Madonna wasn’t the only Golden Globe Award winner last night … a whole host of other folks were honored with awards in both film and television. The show itself, I gotta say, wasn’t nearly as entertaining as last year’s show. By all accounts, host Ricky Gervais did not perform as successfully this year as he did last year … and I think that fact had a huge impact on the show overall. A lot of my fave actors won this year (Jessica Lange, Meryl Streep, Madonna) as did some of my fave TV shows (Homeland, FTW!) … but I think the French silent film The Artist was the biggest winner of the night. Last week we learned the sad news that Reese Witherspoon was struck by a car driven by an 84-year old woman who failed to yield in the crosswalk while Reese was jogging. Today we get to see photos of Reese out in public for the first time since her accident … and she is sporting some pretty ouchy injuries. Altho Reese was happily laughing with a friend this week, the dark bruising on her face shows just how hurt she was in last week’s accident.

Yesterday we learned that actress Reese Witherspoon was struck by an 84-year old driver who failed to yield in the pedestrian crosswalk and today we learn that that driver is now in a bit of trouble. Not only was the unnamed female driver fined by police for the accident but she is also being ordered to be tested by the Department of Motor Vehicles to determine if she is even allowed to drive anymore. Reese has decided NOT to press charges against the driver … despite the fact that her blood was spilled on the street! I guess she’s just thankful that she wasn’t injured too severely.

Reese Witherspoon, who was all smiles with her new husband Jim Toth and her children Ava Elizabeth and Deacon Reese at Mother’s Day service at church yesterday, appears to be nursing an injured foot. Reese was rockin’ a seriously serious brace/cast on her left foot yesterday, which makes it look like she broke or seriously injured her foot. Ouch!

Water for Elephants, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson, opened here in the US a few weeks ago but it has yet to open in other parts of the world. Since the film hit theaters here in the US, R. Pattz and Reese have been promoting the film’s release in Europe and this week made their way down under to Australia to promote the film’s release there. Rob and Reese were joined by an actual elephant in Sydney Harbor yesterday for an official launch event … proving that you can lead an elephant to water AND you can make it promote your movie.

Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz were joined by fellow actors and other luminaries at the NYC premiere of their new film Water for Elephants which took place at the Ziegfeld Theatre last night. R. Pattz and Reese posed awkwardly for a few red carpet photos but it’s unclear if the awkwardness came from Reese‘s recent interview in Vogue magazine (where she referred to her love scenes with Rob as “unpleasant”) or Rob‘s general inability to handle press situations with any sort of suave smoothness. We saw the couple get hitched, we learned that they honeymooned in Belize and now we get to see newlyweds Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth out for a romantic dinner together in public for the first time since they became husband a wife a few weeks ago. Now that the couple have returned home to SoCal from their family honeymoon, they are settling into married life … and enjoying their new life together.
