Britney Spears Releases A Music Video For ‘Radar’

Polo position
Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

In May we saw photos of Britney Spears on the SoCal set of her new music video for her latest single Radar. That video, now complete, has managed to make its way to the Internets. Here are a few screencaps from Brit Brit’s new video:

I have to say … I kinda don’t like it. The song was never a fave of mine but it tends to grow on me the more I hear it. I was hoping a slammin’ music video would renew my interest in the song … but unfortch, this video looks more like a bad telenovela (complete with swarthy Latin love interest) rather than a hip music video. After the jump, check out the video for yourselves — you may like it more than I do …

Britney Spears Horses Around For New Music Video

Marco, polo?
Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Yesterday we saw a couple pics of Britney Spears backstage on the set of her newest music video for her single Radar and today we get to see a few pics from the actual set of the video itself. It would appear, from the look of these pics, that Britney and her music video director Dave Meyers are incorporating a bit of a polo theme in the vid … behold:

I understand the video is being shot just north of Santa Barbara, CA at the Bacara Resort & Spa where a crew of about 100 folks (dancers included) and Brit’s baby boys (Sean Preson and Jayden James) have relocated for a couple of days for the shoot. Will Britney be playing polo? Will she get romantic with a polo player? What’s going on here? Thus far, there has been no release date mentioned for this video but something tells me that it will be made available to us shortly after Britney kicks off the second leg of her tour The Circus starring Britney Spears which will make its way to the UK on June 3 and then other European countries shortly thereafter.

Britney Spears Films New Music Video For ‘Radar’

Reunites with video director Dave Meyers
Friday, May 29th, 2009

Britney Spears and her manager Adam Leber have updated fans on their official Twitter profiles that production has begun on her newest music video for her single Radar. Britney/Adam tweeted on day one of the shoot and then updated that music video director Dave Meyers (who directed Britney’s video for her song Lucky way back in 2000) is helming the project. Woot! Here are a couple pics of Britney with her able and loving assistant Felicia Culotta on the SoCal set of the Radar music video yesterday and the full text of Britney’s tweets about the vid:

Day one Radar video shoot… Dave Meyers is directing my Radar video- it’s going to be sick!

While the “sick”ness of the music video has yet to be determined, I’m pretty sure that Meyers was very happy to come back and do another music video for our dear Britney. It is also very cool seeing Felicia around Britney again … she’s kinda been out of sight the entire time that Britney was on tour these past few months but I understand that she was always with Britney behind the scenes. I’m not sure that I’m feeling her bangs in this photo but … well, that’s neither here nor there. It’s unclear if the tractor in the pics is a prop for the video or Britney was doing some cultivating in between shooting scenes but … I suppose all will be revealed when the video debuts next month.

First Look: Britney Spears, ‘Radar’

"Confidence is a must/Cockiness is a plus"
Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

BritneySpears.com has just released the official artwork for Britney’s new single Radar … check it out:

To be totally honest, Radar isn’t my fave track off of Circus (nor was it a particular fave when it was first released on her album Blackout) but I do like it. It’s one of those songs that you think you don’t want to hear but when it comes on you end up dancing around and singing along with. The remix possibilities are numerous, it could be a big hit. I’m hoping they release something more adventurous as the next single … I know Phonography is a bonus track but it would make such a great single! Ah well, I guess we’ll have to see what comes next. For now, Radar should be blasting from our stereos this Summer … do you think this is good news?

(On My) ‘Radar’

Hot on the heels of the rumored cover artwork for Madonna’s new single Give It 2 Me comes this first look at the supposed cover artwork of Britney Spears’s new single Radar … as reported by World of Britney:
This single cover artwork looks less authentic than the Madonna artwork but, again, who knows if any or either of these photos are genuine. It’s not a bad pic either way … I guess we’ll find out soon enough. [Source]
