At last, the end may be in sight for the Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal because Rachel Uchitel (Mistress #1) has decided to stay quiet about her relationship with Woods and plans to “disappear for a while” in order to keep her silence … and according to TMZ, she is zipping her lips for free! Uchitel‘s attorney Gloria Allred was scheduled to give a press conference on her behalf yesterday morning here in SoCal to discuss matters surrounding the scandal. Abruptly and without explanation, the press conference was called off and it was assumed that it was canceled due to a settlement (perhaps monetarily) agreement between Uchitel and Woods. TMZ is reporting today that NO MONEY deal was worked out between Uchitel and Woods and that she decided not to say anything due to “fear and secrets”:

Sources tell TMZ Rachel Uchitel did not make any financial deal with Tiger Woods — and there are two reasons she torpedoed her scheduled news conference yesterday — fear and secrets. Sources say in the wee hours of the morning yesterday, after many phone calls back and forth between Rachel, Tiger and their reps, Rachel decided not to come out fighting at a news conference. She walked away without taking a cent from Tiger Woods. One very connected source said, “This was absolutely not about money.” Sources say Rachel became “scared for her safety” because she knows so much about Tiger, his alleged affairs and a variety of other Woods matters. We’re told Tiger confided in Rachel … she knows specifics about “other women,” as well as information about Tiger’s marriage. The sources were quick to point out, Rachel does not fear Tiger, as much as she fears all the other people caught in what is becoming a very large net. Rachel, we’re told, just wants to disappear for a while.

HMMM … no matter what she’s afraid of, fear is fear and I can’t say that I really blame her for keeping quiet, that is, if this report is to be believed. TMZ also sniffed out the circumstances surrounding Tiger Woods‘s most recent rendezvous with Rachel Uchitel in Australia last month. According to TMZ, Woods‘s friend and employee Bryon Bell purchased a plane ticket for Uchitel to travel clandestinely to Oz so that she could be with Woods during the Australian Masters tournament mid-November (Bell even flew with her and booked her hotel accommodations on his own credit card) … TMZ even has the emails to prove their claim. BUT, it really sounds like Uchitel is going to keep quiet about all this drama … at least for now. No word on whether or not she will keep Gloria Allred as her legal representation but I’m guessing that if Uchitel is planning to disappear (ie. stay out of the media spotlight) then Allred will lose interest and cut her lose. As it stands now, with everyone involved keepin’ quiet, this Cheating Scandal might die down a bit and may go away altogether (much to Tiger Woods‘s satisfaction, I’m sure). We shall see.

Lordy Lordy … and this Tiger Woods Cheating Scandal drama just keeps on getting more … confusing. When the initial news of Tiger‘s car accident came to light last week it was reported that the alleged fight between Tiger and his wife was due to allegations that he was cheating with a woman named Rachel Uchitel. Uchitel initially denied that she had an affair with Woods and but then another woman, Jaimee Grubbs, came out with her own allegations and supposed proof that she was having an affair with Tiger Woods (which seems to have inspired Tiger Woods to admit to his “transgressions” in an official statement posted on his official website). In the wake of that other woman drama, Uchitel hired famed fame-hungry lawyer Gloria Allred to be her legal counsel and announced that she would be giving a press conference today to speak out on the alleged relationship she may or may not have enjoyed with Tiger Woods. TMZ claims that Uchitel was planning to confirm her affair with Woods in that press conference scheduled for today:

Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress claims she was lying when she said she did not have an affair with Tiger Woods … and sources tell TMZ the fight at Tiger’s home the morning of the crash was triggered by a series of text messages between Tiger and the woman. Rachel Uchitel has publicly denied she had sexual relations with Tiger Woods, but we’ve learned she has said she did indeed have an affair with the golfer. And, we’re told it was her — not Jaimee Grubbs — who caused an argument between Tiger and his wife, Elin Nordegren, that immediately preceded Tiger’s SUV crash. Sources say less than an hour before Tiger’s accident, Rachel and Tiger were texting each other. Elin confronted Tiger and asked whom he was texting. She grabbed the phone and we’re told she called Rachel to confront her. According to sources, Tiger and Elin began arguing and the phone broke in the process. We’re also told there was damage as a result of the altercation in the vestibule area of Tiger’s home — damage that cannot be easily repaired, and that is why Tiger would not let police come in. Uchitel’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, will hold a news conference [Thursday] at 11:30 AM PT with Uchitel present.

It sounds like Mistress #1 (Uchitel) got miffed that Mistress #2 (Grubbs) is gettin’ all the attention when she, Mistress #1, was the reason all this Tiger Woods mess happened in the first place. BUT, the news conference scheduled for today has already been CANCELED … meaning either that Mistress #1 (Uchitel) had a change of heart and has decided not to come clean about the affair (for now) OR it could mean that Tiger Woods reached out to Mistress #1 and somehow convinced her not to comment publicly on the matter:

Looks like Rachel Uchitel may not be admitting to an affair with Tiger Woods Thursday. A planned press conference with her lawyer Gloria Allred has been canceled, Allred’s office confirms to “Extra.” According to a statement, the presser was called off due to “unforeseen circumstances.” “There will be no further statements on this matter,” Allred says. On Wednesday, Allred announced that she would “make a statement about Ms. Uchitel’s relationship with Tiger Woods.”

Now the conspiracy theorist in me thinks that Tiger Woods got wind of this planned press conference and reached out to Uchitel thru her legal representative, Gloria Allred, and somehow got her to call off the press conference. Whether it be monetarily or otherwise, Woods (who is a billionaire) has the means to be very convincing. And you gotta admit, if it was Allred‘s plan all along to get Woods‘s attention by announcing this press conference then she really is worth the money she gets paid to represent these high profile clients like Mistress #1 … er, I mean Rachel Uchitel. Of course, all of this is merely conjecture on my part … but it makes total sense. Depending on what sort of deal may or may not have been worked out between the parties (Woods and Uchitel), we may never hear from her in any sort of press conference on this matter. The plot definitely thickens … I can’t wait to see what more (if any) of this mess will transpire.

Yesterday the news quickly spread that pro golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident near his home in Florida and immediately people went into a frenzy of worry over his injuries. But as the story’s smoke cleared, as it were, a better picture of what went down began to emerge and the accident took a back seat to the drama that is said to have unfolded before the accident took place. As succinctly as possible, here’s what went down … Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren got into an argument over allegations that he had been cheating with a woman named Rachel Uchitel:

Apparently, the argument escalated and Elin scratched up Tiger‘s face and chased him from their home with one of his golf clubs. As Elin beat his car with one of his clubs as he was trying to drive away, Tiger first crashed into a fire hydrant and then into a nearby tree. Elin then smashed out the car’s windows with the club and dragged Tiger from the car (because he was unconscious from the impact) before paramedics arrived on the scene and took him away to the hospital. Lawd. Drama. Since all of that craziness took place, new details from Tiger‘s alleged affair with Rachel have come to light:

In the wake of reports that Tiger Woods was involved in a single car accident on Friday, November 27, more details have been exposed on the avid golfer’s alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel. Star Magazine claims to have been informed by Uchitel’s friend Ashley Sampson that Uchitel first met Woods when she was still working as an event planner and the director of VIP Operations for the Big Apple hotspot Griffin. It was Woods who initiated the affair by offering to show Uchitel a “good golf grip,” Sampson reveals further. She goes on stating, “In June, she told me, ‘Tiger Woods is blowing up my phone messages!’ Tiger thinks Rachel is staying quiet about their affair, but she told everyone. She told me, ‘I’m having an affair with Tiger Woods. We’re in love!’ ” Besides, “I’ve heard him while she was talking to him on the phone and I recognized the voice,” adds Sampson. “I said, ‘Rachel, he’s married,’ and she said Big (bleeping) deal! It’s Tiger Woods. I don’t care about his wife! we’re in love!’ ” Uchitel herself is reported to have been overheard telling friends that she and Woods exchanged sex text messages. Speaking of the matter, Sampson tells Star Magazine, “He’d ask Rachel things like, ‘What are you wearing? What do you want to do to me? What do you want me to do to you?’ She even read me text messages that Tiger sent her that said, ‘I miss you so much! I love you’.” Greater than that, Rachel is said to have been telling her friends that Woods has promised to divorce his wife Elin Nordegren to be with her. Another source tells the publication, “I know for a fact that Tiger and Rachel got together for four days in Los Angeles. She talks about their affair all the time. She thinks Tiger is going to leave his wife and marry her.” Though reports of the affair have been mounting, comment is yet to be made by either Tiger Woods or Elin Nordegren. The athlete and the former supermodel have been married since October 2004 and are parents to two children; son Charlie Axel Woods and daughter Sam Alexis Woods.
