Last month we got to see a cute Xmas-related comedy video starring real life lovebirds Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes on FunnyOrDie.com. This time around, we get to check out a new comedy video starring Rachel Bilson. The clip, titled Call me Doctor, is loosely based on Rachel‘s new Hart of Dixie TV character … but as a hardcore rapper. It’s been quite a few months since actors and presumed lovebirds Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen have been seen together in public but this week, the couple managed to get in one more bit of public facetime together before the end of 2011. Rachel and Hayden were last spotted together back in April … so I guess it’s about time for them to be spotted in public together again. Hayden was so kind as to pick up Rachel from LAX airport this week … just like a good friend/boyfriend/fiancée/whatever should do.

Then, last month, representatives for the couple decided to chirp up and deny that the couple had split and insisted that they were still very much together. In an attempt to fortify those claims, RayDen made their way to Barbados this week for a little vacay … and wouldn’t you know it … they were actually photographed in one another’s close proximity! They must be together then!!

Today we get official confirmation from the couple themselves that they are NO LONGER engaged to be married. Reports surfaced a couple months ago that the duo were on a break, but now the split is permanent. “Yes, the engagement is off,” Bilson’s rep tells PEOPLE, but declined to provide details on the breakup. Distance was reportedly one of the main reasons for the split. With Bilson primarily in L.A., and Christensen in Canada, “It just wasn’t working out,” says a pal of the actress. Now Bilson is “focusing on her career, spending time with her family and just moving forward,” adds the friend.

Oh yeah, I SO knew that this was how RayDen was gonna end up. Back in June, when the rumors started that the couple called off their engagement, I wrote about how CERTAIN I was that these two would NEVER get married. It may have taken a couple of months but I knew this official announcement would come. This couple never ever acted like an actual couple and once they got engaged, their weird behavior got even worse. The news of RayDen‘s duznoness should come as no surprise to anyone … that is, if any of y’all even remembered that this odd couple were even engaged to be wed in the first place. IMHO, Bilson should see if former flame Adam Brody is single and available … you know, I’m just sayin’.

Yeah … these two … they are not getting married. They’ve been so weird as a couple since they got secretly engaged, I never once believed they would actually make it down the aisle. The couple, RayDen as I love to call them, are never ever seen together. I mean, I’m all for privacy but … when you never see a high profile couple together, there has to be something wrong. The fact that Rachel is no longer wearing the ring seems like a pretty good indication that the wedding is off. It’s always sad when a couple breaks up or, should I say, goes on a “break” but considering how these two never really seemed like a genuine couple to me … it’s hard to feel the loss. They live!!! And, I believe, they are still betrothed to be wed!! Happily engageds Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen came out of hiding for their yearly outing this week in Vancouver, British Columbia where they are attending some of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games events. What a colorful pair they make, no?

As you may recall, we learned that RayDen got engaged to be wed in February of 2009 and then … they fell off the face of the planet. It took until July ’09 for Rachel to surface with her engagement ring on … and then it took until December ’09 until we actually saw the couple out and about in public together. It would seem that RayDen are getting their yearly sighting out of the way early this year. No word on when the couple are planning to actually tie the knot but considering how they are with sharing their relationship with the public … well, don’t hold your breath.

Rachel Bilson and her fiancée Hayden Christensen made a rare appearance in public this weekend as they made their way to a friend’s Xmas party in SoCal. Now, we don’t usually get to see either one of them out and about but one or the other will make themselves known. It’s a rare occurrence, indeed, when they are both seen out in public … together! Behold, the wondrous sight:

Aren’t they so cute? It was so nice of Rachel to let Hayden wear her sweater, too! We heard last February that the couple, RayDen, had gotten themselves engaged secretly the December before and I don’t know that we’ve actually seen them out and about in public together very much since. Sure, Rachel surfaced in July to show off her engagement bling (and to remind us that she still lives) but the couple have stayed well out of sight for most of their engagement. RayDen did show up at LAX Airport in October but, yeah, it’s been a quiet year for the betrothed. As private as they tend to be, I’m happy to see that they are still happily together. Here’s hoping they have themselves a Merry Xmas and a Happy Engagement Anniversary!!

Last February we learned the fairly shocking news that Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen got engaged to be hitched (even more surprising, we learned the couple had been secretly engaged since last December) but almost as soon as the news broke that the couple were engaged, they seemed to fall off the face of the planet. Rarely have the couple been seen out in public together so, in all honesty, I had forgotten that they were even engaged … fess up, did you remember they were engaged before reading this post? BUT, I came upon new photos of R. Bils out and about here in SoCal yesterday and homegirl was flashing her engagement bling like nobodies biz … I guess she really wanted to remind us that she is really gettin’ hitched:

HMMM … well, at least that’s a nice ring. And as they say, where there’s a ring, there’s a guy with really great taste in jewelry … which still makes the whole Bilson engaged to Christensen thing still seem a bit weird. I gotta say … I never really saw Hayden Christensen as a ladies man … but, well, I guess he is. Seeing this ring on Rachel‘s finger just drives home the fact further that she and Adam Brody will prolly never get back together again :( Ah well … she looks happy. A rock that big would make anyone happy, right?
