Lord have MERCY it is hot and humid here in NYC. I managed to get out and into SoHo late yesterday afternoon but I about suffocated from the muggy/humid air. Thank goodness the subway train I used was air-conditioned cuz I might’ve died right on the spot. Whew. I dunno how NYers make it thru the Summers here … they should spend the Summer in SoCal ;) I ended up just staying in last night to watch all the new Project Runway programming on Lifetime TV:

The Project Runway: All-Star Challenge aired at 8PM, the first ep of the new season of PR aired at 10PM and the new series Models of the Runway aired at 11PM — it was a full night of Project Runway fun! Earlier this week Lifetime TV released a new promo video that introduced the 16 new designers from season 6 of Project Runway and at the time I commented that I wasn’t really feelin’ the emotional vibe that the promo vid was puttin’ out. While it’s nice to meet the designers in this way, the video did not feel at all like it was “Project Runway“. Today we get our first look at the official trailer that Lifetime just released for PR season 6 and HOT DAMN it finally feels like Project Runway is BACK!! Here are a few screencaps from the just released official trailer:

Hell YES … Lifetime TV is really makin’ it work with this latest video. When season 6 debuts on Lifetime TV on August 20 it really look like the show will continue as if no time had taken place (altho much time has taken place) since season 5 bowed on Bravo TV. Not only is Lindsay Lohan appearing as a guest judge (as you can see in the screencaps above) but there will also be a mystery judge who is only described as a “five-time Grammy winner”. HMMMMMM. Last Thursday Lifetime TV updated the official Project Runway website with small photos and short bios of the 16 new designers competing on the 6th season of the show which premieres on Lifetime on August 20. Today, they release new video where we can get more acquainted with all of the designers. Here are a few screencaps from the new vid:

This almost 4 minute video is a compilation of 8 short promo commercials which will air on Lifetime in the weeks leading up to the premiere of Project Runway season 6 next month. Each segment introduces two designers at a time. On Wednesday we got our first look at stills from the upcoming new season of Project Runway, which premieres on Lifetime TV on August 20. On Thursday we got to meet the 16 designers and see their tiny little bio photos. Today we get to see one more promo photo from the show that features all of the designers smiling and posing together in one big group. Say hello to Althea, Ari, Carol, Christopher, Rodney, Gordana, Irina, Johnny, Logan, Louise, Malvin, Mitchell, Nicolas, Qristyl, Ra’mon and Shirin:

These beyotches are all chummy friends in the beginning and then … the claws come out. I can’t wait. We fans of Project Runway have been forced to wait far too long for this new season of the show … I am dying to get the party started. August 20th can’t get here soon enough for me.

Yesterday afternoon, we got our first look at the new season of Project Runway — which will premiere on Lifetime TV in August — as new stills from upcoming eps were released by the network. Today, the official Project Runway website has been updated with photos and short bios of the 16 contestants who will be vying for the title of PR champ. Here is our first look at 6 of the new contestants:

OOOOOOH … I’m getting excited now. For the most part thus far, things look very similar to the way Project Runway was presented on Bravo TV. I mean, I know there will be a few changes on the new network (especially with a new production company putting the show together) but I think they are very wise to keep the look and feel of the show as close to the original format that we’ve seen in the first 5 seasons. Last week, Lifetime TV launched the official online presence of the new season of Project Runway, the first for their network, by teasing with a new promo video that I (in all honestly) wasn’t too impressed by. Today, Lifetime releases the official promo poster for the new season of PR along with a few exclusive stills from upcoming episodes of the new season. First up, the poster:

I do love the poster … but it is the stills that are most interesting to me. I love them … and I think longtime fans of Project Runway will love them as well. After the jump, check them out …

Lifetime TV, in preparation for the premiere of the new season of Project Runway (the first for their network), has launched the new official web site for PR. In addition, the site lists the urls for the official Project Runway Twitter account and Facebook page. Here is a new promo image for the show:

The site also features a new promo video for the show which attempts to hype up fans for the show … but IMHO, falls well off the mark. The video features “regular people” talking about how much they love the show and only features brief appearances by hosts Heidi Klum and Time Gunn. There are NO appearances by any of the contestants or any footage from the upcoming season. It’s not a great promo video, in my estimation, but something is better than nothing I suppose.
