Gossip Girl fans look out!! I’ve just come across pics of an upcoming Gossip Girl scene being filmed in NYC today…and it looks like our main characters are in for some big changes! The scene, which was filmed on the steps of The Met in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is the site where high school Blair used to wait with her gaggle of girls… now, it looks like she is there with ‘lonely boy’ Dan, and he isn’t that lonely any more… Eeek! Check out the pics from the shoot below.

For the past week or so, a group of activists have been demonstrating against the US banking system with the launch of the Occupy Wall Street movement (a movement that has spread across the country to other cities as well). This week, Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley joined the throngs of demonstrators in NYC to protest and voice HIS displeasure with the richest 1% of the people who arguably control the world. Today, courtesy of Life & Style magazine, we get our first look at Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley also in character as Jeff Buckley in a competing biopic film titled Greetings from Tim Buckley. Penn Badgley turns 24 years old today and in celebration of his birthday, he was presented with a chocolate cake on the set of Gossip Girl in NYC earlier today. Unfortch for Penn, because this impromptu birthday party took place on the GG set, he had to “celebrate” with his ex-girlfriend and GG co-star Blake Lively:

Now, it’s entirely possible that things between Penn and Blake are just fine in the wake of their recent break-up — after all, it was Blake who baked that sad-looking cake … then again, things could be totally shitty depending who did the breaking up with who … especially when you consider that the couple have to work so closely together on set day after day. Let’s send all of our Birthday Lurve to Penn today in the hopes that his birthday is a Happy one, not a Crappy one.

Blake Lively and Penn Badgely — Gossip Girl co-stars, who have enjoyed a hot and cold romantic relationship on-screen and a semi-stable real relationship off-screen — have decided to end their 3 year relationship. According to press reps for both of the actors, BlakeLey decided to call it quits after successfully maintaining a loving relationship for almost the entire duration of their TV show … but, alas, it just wasn’t meant to be. Blake and Penn are dunzo, y’all!

Just like their onscreen counterparts Serena van der Woodsen and Dan Humphrey, Gossip Girl costars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley have ended their real-life romance, too. A rep for both stars has confirmed their breakup. Lively, 23, and Badgley, 23, have been linked since 2007, though they initially denied their romance, saying they were just friends and costars. Since 2008, however, the two have gone public with their relationship, appearing together at events and, often, hand-in-hand in New York City. Most recently, the former couple went shopping for candles together at Henry Bendel in New York last weekend … Despite their often public displays of affection, the pair mostly remained mum about their relationship, with Lively telling Allure recently, “I don’t comment on my relationships. . . . My anonymity is something I treasure. Wanting to be an actor and wanting to be famous are different.”

Many of you will recall that we have seen many photos of Blake and Penn gettin’ it on on the public streets of NYC in the past couple of years but I guess all of that is over. I have to say, I was always very impressed with the way Blake and Penn carried themselves as a couple. They always seemed very affectionate and did a pretty great job of not talking about their relationship in the press … which is prolly why they lasted so long. I, for one, am bummed by this news … I thought they made a great couple. Clearly, they think otherwise.

Emma Stone, her co-star Penn Badgley and a few of their famous celebrity friends walked the red carpet in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA for the premiere of their new film Easy A. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals here in SoCal last night:

The film, which is being called the new Mean Girls, tells the tale of a young girl who pretends to have sex with a male friend in order to fortify his reputation at school and ends up ruining her reputation as a result. Instead of shying away from the rumors going on around her at school, she instead takes up the mantle of her supposed easy reputation and starts wearing a scarlet A on her chest much like Hester Prynne was forced to do in the novel The Scarlett Letter. My friend Darion was able to screen the film a couple of weeks ago and he couldn’t say enough good things about the film. Considering the hole left my Lindsay Lohan in Hollywood for these kinds of movies (ever since she self-destructed after the success of Mean Girls), Emma Stone is now poised to step in and fill that void. I really love the trailer for Easy A and am very excited to see the film when it opens this weekend. Emma Stone is one of those actresses who you always see in films but she never really gets a chance to shine as the lead … I really hope Easy A turns her into the movie star she needs to be. I love her entirely and wish nothing but success for her. See this movie, y’all!

Gossip Girl co-stars and real life lovebirds Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were spotted roaming the streets of NYC this week lookin’ all in love and shizz … that is, until they noticed that they were being photographed and then the couple tried to disappear from sight by hiding behind a shopping bag:

You know, it’s kinda hard to believe, but I can actually still see the two of them despite the fact that they are trying to hide from sight behind that brown paper bag. When last we saw these lovebirds out and about, they were very proudly displaying their love (and gropeyness) for one another … I wonder why they’re being so shy this time around. HMMM. I’m thinkin’ facial blemish, how about you?

Last weekend we saw photos from the Paris, France set of Gossip Girl which has been filming some of its 4th season in the City of Lights all last week and we got a sneak peek of what kind of drama is in store for BFF/frenemies Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester). Today we see that Blake has already made her way back home to NYC and was spotted with her GG co-star and real life boyfriend Penn Badgeley lookin’ all hot and heavy together in the Big Apple:

No, the couple were not filming a scene for Gossip Girl … they were just being all gropey in real life. You know, I’m actually surprised that these two are still together. I guess I had forgotten that they broke up on the show, not in real life … cuz I’m really bad at separating fact from fiction. In any event, I kinda love how into one another BlakeLey seem to be. They make a hawt couple, yeah?

Penn Badgely and his co-stars Amber Heard and Dylan Walsh, were joined by much of the Gossip Girl cast at the NYC premiere of their new film The Stepfather which took place at the SVA Theater here in NYC, NY last night. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals:

I believe this is Penn‘s first starring movie role so we will soon know if he’s got the chops to carry a film almost all by himself. I don’t know much about Amber Heard‘s work but I’m a big fan of Dylan Walsh (who plays Dr. Sean McNamara on Nip/Tuck) and I have no doubt he’ll play a great bad guy in this film. Penn‘s costars Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick have already featured in their own big screen flicks (The Covenant and S. Darko respectively) so now it’s Penn‘s time to shine. I hope he doesn’t disappoint … David and I have high hopes that this film will be a fun time at the movies. The Stepfather opens on Friday … I guess we’ll know soon enough if Penn‘s got what it takes to thrill an audience.
