Brad Pitt & Boys Have A Guys Weekend

Brad Pitt and his eldest sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien spent some great bonding time together this weekend while mommy Angelina Jolie was hard at work on the set of her new film Salt. Brad and the boys were first spotted chillin’ together on Long Island, NY …

… before they sneaked off to Niagra Falls, Ontario Canada to enjoy (among other things) a Maid of the Mist tourist ride:

People magazine may have named him “Sexiest Man Alive” twice, but even Brad Pitt looked a little goofy in his blue Maid of the Mist poncho. The superstar actor was in Niagara Falls, Ont., on a picture-perfect afternoon to take in the sights of the world-famous cataracts Saturday. In tow were two of his sons, Maddox and Pax; his parents, Bill and Jane, and his bodyguards. The group enjoyed the attractions while remaining relatively under the radar. Not with them was Pitt’s equally famous partner, Angelina Jolie, who has been filming the thriller “Salt” in Albany. “He was looking good,” sighed a star-struck Melissa Harris, 17, of Niagara Falls, Ont., as the hunky actor rushed past her. She conceded she was a little chagrined that she didn’t have her camera with her for the celebrity sighting. A pair of German tourists also recognized the famous dad and delightedly snapped photos with their cell phones. But for the most part, Pitt remained largely unnoticed— just another dad enjoying a tourist attraction with his family. Pitt managed to keep a low profile by sporting a look closer to that of the Unabomber than a movie star. He wore big, dark sunglasses and a paperboy-style cap with the hood of his oversized black sweat shirt pulled over his head. The Pitt family was given the star treatment at the Maid of the Mist. When their black SUV with tinted windows was escorted down to the dock about 3 p.m., they were discreetly whisked to the front of the line. The family gathered on the upper deck as bodyguards kept careful watch. During their ride, the Pitts took turns snapping photos of each other and the falls, and the little boys seemed to enjoy getting drenched. Most of the tourists seemed oblivious to the famous family in their midst. “Aaaahhhh!” screamed a distressed Raisa Monteiro, 18, a Brazilian exchange student, after learning that she had been on the same boat as Pitt, but hadn’t even caught a glimpse of him. “Maybe we can find them!” her friends cried, as they frantically tried to figure out where the family had gone. But Pitt was long gone, apparently headed back to Albany. U.S. border officers said the actor was very pleasant as he crossed through the checkpoint at the Rainbow Bridge.

Aww … it’s so cool that Brad is able to sneak his kids off for a relatively quite afternoon of fun without most people being any the wiser. I imagine it’s difficult for any of the Brangelina brood to go anywhere unnoticed but I guess they get lucky sometimes. It really is remarkable how normal the family is … it says a lot that both Brad and Angelina work so hard to keep their kids’ lives as normal as possible.

Brad Pitt & His Eldest Boys Journey To Mars 2112

Brad Pitt and his sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien took a break from hanging out with the smelly girls and the stinky babies to spend some quality male-bonding time together at the fun NYC restaurant Mars 2112 this weeked … here are a few photos of the Jolie-Pitt men making their way into the space-themed eatery yesterday afternoon:

This ain’t the first time the Jolie-Pitt men paid a visit to Mars … actually, this place is a fave of Maddox and Pax so Daddy Braddy makes a point to bring the kids for a visit on almost every visit to NYC. Now that Angelina Jolie will be working on her new film Salt in the NYC area in the coming weeks, perhaps the boys will become regulars at Mars 2112 as well. The place looks like fun … Brad is a great dad for indulging his kids like this :)

Wish I could be, Part of their world
Brangelina & Kids See ‘The Little Mermaid’ On Broadway

Fresh from their double Oscar loss last Sunday night at the 81st Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood, CA, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt surfaced with 4 of their 6 children in tow at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater in NYC last night where the Brangelina brood were spotted making a hasty exit from a performance of The Little Mermaid on Broadway. Here are a few photos of Ange, Brad, Maddox Chivan, Zahara Marley, Pax Thien and Shiloh Nouvel as they made their way out of the theater last night:

It was family night at the theater in New York City for the Jolie-Pitts. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took their children to see a Wednesday evening showing of The Little Mermaid on Broadway … Pitt carried daughter Shiloh, 2, and held the hand of son Pax, 5, who sipped on a drink as he exited the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Jolie held daughter Zahara, 3, while Maddox, 7, followed close behind. Missing: Their newborn twins, Knox and Vivienne. Jolie — who just returned from Hollywood for the Oscars with Pitt — is in the Big Apple as she prepares to shoot the espionage thriller, Salt. After she wraps up filming, Jolie has said she plans to take a break from acting to focus on being a mother. “I like being home a lot,” the mother of six has said. “First and foremost, I have a lot of children, and I need to make sure they’re growing right and they’ve got us there for them.”

LOL! Angelina has been giving that line about “taking a break from acting to be a mother” for years now … I doubt she ever will really take a break. Tho, I’m sure her demoralizing loss of so many acting awards this past awards season is enough to sour her to the craft for some time to come. Ah well, she’s a mega-millionaire who is coupled up with a mega-millionaire with a beautiful (and growing?) family of children … it’s kinda hard to feel too sorry for her. In any event, I imagine it was quite a treat for the theater-goers at the Lunt-Fontanne to see the Brangelina brood file in for last night’s performance. I think it would be really fun to share your popcorn with Princess Zahara. I’ve yet to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway myself but a show that is so well-attended by so many celebrity children (I understand Suri Holmes-Cruise is a fan as well) sounds must see to me!

Boys will be boys
Brad Pitt & Sons Surface In Sin City

While Angelina Jolie is hangin’ with her daughters in NYC this week, her pseduohubby Brad Pitt has jetted off with his sons to Las Vegas, NV to enjoy a little male bonding time away from the female Jolie-Pitts. Here is a pic of Brad and his middle son Pax Thien in Sin City and some deets on what the guys have been doing in town:

Just days before the Academy Awards, Best Actor nominee Brad Pitt enjoyed a boys’ getaway to Las Vegas – with his sons Maddox and Pax. The guys of the Jolie-Pitt clan (minus 7-month old Knox), were spotted at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Wednesday evening.
The boys’ trip comes as Angelina Jolie is spending time with the girls of the family in New York. Jolie was spotted with daughters, Zahara, 4, and Shiloh, 2, shopping at one of their favorite spots in the Big Apple – Lee’s Art Shop – on Wednesday. The day before, Jolie, who is scheduled to begin filming the movie SALT next month, began prep work, looking at costumes and visiting an apartment building that will serve as a production location. Jolie and Pitt are expected to reunite in time to attend the Oscars this Sunday in Los Angeles. Pitt is up for Best Actor for his role in The Curious Case of Bejamin Button. Jolie is nominated for Best Actress for The Changeling.

How cute that Ange & the girls and Brad & the boys can split up and enjoy some vacay time apart. While I think it’s really cute that Brad and the boys are tearing up Las Vegas together, I really love the idea of Angelina and the girls hanging out in NYC. The Jolie-Pitt kids are still small enough that everything that they do is really cute. I just can’t help but wonder what they all will be like once they grow into teenagers and adults. You know that at least one of them is going to be the diva (prolly Zahara) and one is going to be the goody-goody (prolly Maddox) and one is going to be the fashionista darling (Shiloh) and the wild child (Pax). It remains to be seen what roles Vivienne and Knox will take on as they grow (humanitarian and rock star?) but I’m sure we’ll be able to get a better handle on their little personalities as they get a little bigger. We prolly won’t see the family all together until until they meet up here in SoCal for the Academy Awards this Sunday. For now, it’s fun to know that they are all enjoying themselves on these fun trips.

Ange, Brad, Vivianne, Knox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax and Maddox say 'Konnichiha'
The Brangelina Bunch Make Their Way To Japan

After enduring another Awards Show shut-out (with feigned smiling faces and empty applause) this past weekend at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt packed up their children (Vivienne Marcheline, Knox Léon, Shiloh Nouvel, Zahara Marley, Pax Thien and Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt) and made their way to Japan where they were greeted by fans at the Narita International Airport earlier today … here are a few photos of the massive family’s grand arrival:

The Jolie-Pitt clan has landed in Japan. Two days after walking the red carpet at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were spotted — with all six of their kids — at Narita International Airport in Tokyo on Tuesday. Jolie was photographed carrying 6-month-old twin Viv, while Pitt held Knox. Maddox, 7, Zahara, 4, Pax, 5, Shiloh, 2 — who walked alongside their parents — don’t mind all the globetrotting, Jolie recently said. “Our kids are always packing,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “They like to pack; it’s a game in our house. “It can get very hard trying to find 20 minutes to close your eyes if you’ve been up since four in the morning,” Jolie said. “We travel so much, we never have to adjust. We change school time to four in the afternoon if we have to!” The family is expected to settle in New York’s Long Island in March as Jolie shoots the spy thriller Edwin A. Salt.

OMG … these photos of the Jolie-Pitt twins (who were born on July 12, 2008 … which is, incidentally, my birthday as well ;) are so cute! They really do look very much alike … it’s only the unmatching headwear that discerns them from one another (but how cute is it that Brad and Knox are wearing the same hat?!). It’s not totally clear why the family made their way en masse to the Land of the Rising Son but I suspect they’re not in town to collect any awards … Brangelina appears to have some trouble doing that this awards season. In any event, they all look very happy together. Seeing all of these adorable little chubby cheeks seems a great way to start the day!

Before jetting back home to Nice, France
Brangelina Spend An Afternoon In The 9th Ward

Angelina Jolie and sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien joined dad Brad Pitt for an afternoon of playtime at a 9th Ward Housing Project in New Orleans, LA yesterday. The fam did not let the light rain spoil any of their playground fun … here are a few pics of Ange, Brad, Maddox and Pax at one of the newly erected playgrounds in a reconstructed area of the 9th Ward:

The fam didn’t spent too much time enjoying the playground, in fact, the family didn’t spend too much time in New Orleans, LA overall. They have already packed up and made their way back to their new home in Nice, France. Here are a few pics of the entire Brangelina brood upon arrival in Nice this morning:

You may recall that the family made their way to NYC late last week and then to New Orleans a couple of days ago and they are now already back in Nice. I wondered if they were planning on spending some time back here in the US so I guess I got my answer … nope, they really only flew back to the US to take care of some biz in New York and Louisiana and, once completed, returned to their French estate. Well, it was nice having them back on US soil, if for a short time. I suspect they won’t be back again until duty calls once again.

The gang's all here
Angelina Jolie & Kids Make Their Way To New Orleans

Yesterday we saw a couple of fun pics of Brad Pitt riding a bike on the streets of New Orleans, LA as he made his way to a business meeting and I wondered aloud (er, you know what I mean) if Angelina Jolie and their mess o’ kids had relocated from NYC (where they were this weekend for the New York Film Festival premiere of Ange’s new movie Changeling) to New Orleans as well … it turns out that they did, indeed, fly down to N.O. with daddy Braddy. Here are a couple pics of a very Morticia Addams-looking Angelina with a selection of her children walking the streets of New Orleans yesterday afternoon:

I find it very interesting that neither Ange nor Brad ever ventures out in public with all of the their children in tow. Even if you consider they prolly wouldn’t want to cart around the baby twins in public just yet, neither parent ever takes all of the toddler-aged children out en masse. It’s as if at least one has to be left home or in someone else’s care for some reason. I reminds me of the practice of leaving one member of the US President’s Cabinet at home when the State of the Union Address calls for almost full attendance of the US governmental leadership (ie. a ranking member of government must be kept away from the full Cabinet should a catastrophe occur in order for the line of succession to be carried out). It’s kinda like they have to leave at least one spare child at home to carry on the Brangelina brood should a tragedy befall them … I imagine there is a binder in the family safe that lists instructions on repopulating the family by carrying out their plans to adopt every orphan in the world. Hey, it’s possible. Or, you know, mebbe Maddox was just hanging with his friends. At any rate, it’s nice to see that the family likes to travel together, even if they don’t necessarily have to be all together 24/7.

Brangelina make a grand appearance at the New York Film Festival
‘Changeling’ Premieres In NYC

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who, as you may recall, relocated their family to NYC earlier this week made a red carpet appearance at the New York Film Festival in NYC last night for the premiere of Ange‘s new movie Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood. Here are a few pics of the happy couple (and Clint) on the red carpet last night, which marks the first time Brangelina attended a public event together since the birth of their twins back in July:

Having landed in New York earlier in the week, Angelina Jolie arrived with Brad PItt and walked the red carpet at the New York Film Festival for Saturday night’s premiere of her movie Changeling, a 1920′s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood. Asked if she felt nervous to be back in the spotlight, Jolie told PEOPLE, “Not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it¹s been so long. It felt a little strange.” The Manhattan visit marks the first time since the birth of their twins, Vivienne and Knox, that Jolie and Pitt have been in the city with their children. “Everybody’s great,” she told PEOPLE. “The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities.” As for being in the city that never sleeps, Jolie, 33, said, “We are a little bit [sleep deprived]. We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.” Still, as ever, she looked ravishing – decked out in an Atelier Versace dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and Mikimoto pearl earrings and ring – after a day of taking her three eldest kids (Zahara, Maddox and Pax Thien) to Lee’s Art Store midtown, while Brad went downtown to see photographer Jerry Spagnoli at his studio. “I run around with all the other kids, and I’m breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body’s recovery,” Jolie said. “I feel great [and] feel very happy that they’re healthy.”

You gotta love that no matter her commitments, no matter how bizzy her schedule is, Angelina (and Brad, actually) makes sure to carve out time to spend with her children doing stuff that is fun for them. After the jump, check out a few pics of Ange and the kiddies making their way out of Lee’s Art Store early yesterday afternoon …

Why so blue, Maddox?
Brad, Maddox, Pax Jolie-Pitt Do Venice, Italy

Brad Pitt and his eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, have made their way to Venice, Italy for the Venice Film Festival where Brad will be on hand to help promote his new movie Burn After Reading (which also stars Brad‘s BFF George Clooney). Here are pics of thePitt boys making their way thru the streets/canals of Venice earlier today:

Maddox was proudly showing off his new blue ‘do. That mohawk is his staple, he looks intent on rockin’ it hardcore. There’s no word yet if Angelina Jolie, the girls (Zahara and Shiloh) or the twins (Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon) have also made their way to Venice but if so, I’m sure they’ll show up sooner or later. I’m not sure how I feel about the blue hair, to be honest. Should kids that young be dying their hair already? Does it matter?

... from the outside, in
Brangelina’s Room With A View

Welp, Angelina Jolie has not given birth to her twin babies yet, at least not as of earlier this morning that is. Here are a couple pics of what looks to be Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt milling about her private hospital room at Lenval Hospital in Nice, France early this morning:

It was previously reported that altho Angelina checked herself into the hospital last week, she is still “weeks away” from giving birth to her twin babies … and here we are, one week down and she still hasn’t brought forth the precious fruit of her very famous loins. Babydaddy Brad Pitt has been showing up at Lenval Hospital for daily visits with his pregs lady (sometimes bringing the kids along with him) but he’s not doing all of his waiting at the hospital … he’s been passing the time with a couple of famous friends as well. After the jump, check out a few pics of the famous friends that Brad has been hanging out with over the past couple of days …
