In today’s WTF? news o’ the day, the cast of MTV‘s hit reality TV show Jersey Shore made their way to Wall Street in order to ring the bell to start trading for the day at the New York Stock Exchange. Yeah, I have no idea either. The cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” has skipped the beach for a day to go to Wall Street. The cast was at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday morning to ring its opening bell. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi gave a thumbs up to stock brokers before ringing the bell and waving to the crowd. Fellow cast members Paul DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino pumped their fists in the air, and the rest of the group applauded. The second season of the show will make its premiere Thursday.

Yeah, this makes **no sense** to me either. At least Jwoww had the foresight to wear a respectable outfit … you know this very nice suit she is wearing did NOT come from her new line of clothing called Filthy Couture. I guess MTV is pulling out all the stops to promote this week’s return of Jersey Shore.

Earlier this month we learned the semi-tragic news that the guys from MTV‘s Jersey Shore will be appearing in an upcoming issue of GQ magazine and today we learn that the whole cast will be featured in an upcoming issue of Rolling Stone magazine. The JS cast posed for photographer Terry Richardson on the beach in Seaside Heights, NJ this weekend for a photospread that will be featured in RS:

Their lives consist of nothing more strenuous than plenty of GLT – that’s a morning routine of Gym, Tanning, and Laundry for the uninitiated. But it seems living their lives on the beach has paid off for the cast members of Jersey Shore, as they were photographed for the front cover of prestigious magazine Rolling Stone. The shoot took place during sunset with legendary photographer Terry Richardson. It’s obviously a sign that they have made it – it’s the second time he’s photographed them. Snooki showed off her curves in a daring cut-out one-piece, which struggled to contain the 21-year-old’s buxom curves. Her cast-mates were weighed down with jewellery and lashings of make-up and hair gel as they struck their most outrageous poses. The TV show, which follows the eight housemates as they spend the summer holidaying on the New Jersey Shore, has become one of the most popular reality shows of the moment. Hook-ups and bust-ups ensue along with plenty of clubbing in the bars along the coastline. But the show has had its share of controversy too – some have taken offense to the cast’s use of the words ‘guido’ and ‘guidette’, which many view as slurs against Italian-Americans. And there was public uproar over a scene in which Snooki was punched in the face by a male bar patron, which prompted MTV to black out the footage. The castmates are already capitalising on the success of the show, with Snooki landing a guest spot as a presenter a the MTV Movie Awards, while 23-year-old JWoww has just unveiled her own fashion line, Filthy Couture. The second season of MTV’s Jersey Shore airs in the U.S. on July 29.

I’m gonna take a wild stab in the dark and guess that these jokers will be featured in the issue of Rolling Stone that will be timed perfectly with the release of the second season of their show. I mean, I get that the cast of Jersey Shore will be coming at us again on MTV this Summer but is it really necessary for them to infiltrate our magazines as well? We’ve already seen them in the pages of Interview magazine … so now we have GQ and Rolling Stone to look forward to? I suppose they do need to strike while the iron is hot and the demand still seems to be high but I’m kinda over the hoopla of the show and these people already. But, I fear, the focus on Jersey Shore will get even more intense when the second season starts at the end of next month. Are you ready for it?

Celebs of varying degree made their way to The Edison in downtown LA last night attend the taping of LOGO TV‘s 2010 NewNowNext Awards, which will air on LOGO on June 17th. Altho we don’t yet know who won what, we do know who showed up at last night and some of what went down … read on:

Logo’s third annual “NewNowNext Awards” made its mark for the first time in Los Angeles last night with high caliber celebrities and breakthrough stars-in-the-making, proving Logo is at the forefront of pop culture. Co-hosted by Niecy Nash and Cheyenne Jackson, the show premieres Thursday, June 17 at 10/9c on Logo. The show featured appearances including Paula Abdul, Mena Suvari, Kylie Minogue, Carmen Electra, Kelly Osbourne, Johnny Weir, DJ Jesus Luz and musical performances by Little Boots, Shontelle, Dan Black and Agnes. The “NewNowNext Awards 2010″ rocked hot spot the Edison in downtown Los Angeles last night. Cheyenne Jackson kicked off the evening with a jazzy crooner parodying award show openings as co-host Nash crashed the stage declaring, “Take it all in, bitches!” In-house DJ Jesus Luz kept the audience moving to the beats of tomorrow as RuPaul, the world’s most famous drag queen and host of the hit series “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” announced the evening’s first award: the “OMFG Internet Award,” honoring what’s sure to be the next, online viral hit. It sounds like it was a fun show … I can’t wait to find out who won what. Enrique Iglesias has teamed up with the guidos and guidettes from MTV‘s reality TV show Jersey Shore in order to feature them in a new music video for his single I Like It from his upcoming new album Euphoria. You will note that Snooki decided not to wear shoes for these lovely photos … and hated castmember Angelina Jolie Pivarnik is NOT included in either photo. Interesting. Er, on second thought, no it’s not interesting at all. I’m not sure how I feel about Enrique jumping on the Jersey Shore bandwagon but I suppose this is proof positive that anyone can be a self-proclaimed guido. Filming continues in Miami Beach, FL on the second season of MTV‘s Jersey Shore and it looks like castmember Nicole Snooki Polizzi has managed to find herself a new love interest. As you may recall, Snooki recently dumped her boyfriend after she came to the conclusion that he was only using her to further his own fame (can you imagine?!). But this week, Snooki was spotted in the company of a new special someone that might turn out to be the man of her dreams:

As you may recall, last month we saw that Snooki met another new man in Miami … but that encounter didn’t really turn out so well for her. Perhaps this lemur will turn out to be the perfect companion for her. Tho, I gotta say … diaper or no diaper, I don’t know that I’d want my face that close to any lemur’s ass. Ew.

Another Cinco de Mayo has come and gone and as I’m sure some of you are nursing hangovers from your margarita-filled celebrations yesterday, so too are the castmembers of MTV‘s hit reality TV show Jersey Shore. As you may know, the second season of Jersey Shore is currently filming new episodes in Miami Beach, FL and a couple of castmembers were spotted at a local drinking establishment yesterday doing their best to celebrate the spirit of Cinco de Mayo:

Yes, folks, Nicole Snooki Polizzi and Jenni Jwoww Farley were drinking up a storm yesterday like nobodies business … and I would be willing to wager that they didn’t even realize it was Cinco de Mayo. Considering what big booze hounds these ladies (and I do use the term loosely) seem to be, they were prolly drinkin’ their faces off because it was just Wednesday! In any event, it looks like the JS ladies enjoyed their Cinco very much … did you?

Filming continued this weekend down in Miami Beach, FL on the second season of Jersey Shore and in an incident that can only be described as run-of-the-mill for the JS cast, Nicole Snooki Polizzi got herself into a smidge of drama. Apparently, the newly single Snooki — while out with her fellow castmate Jenni Jwoww Farley — met a nice young man at a bar in Miami and the two go to talking. Unfortch, the pair did not get along well and things got a bit heated between them. In fine, JS fashion, there was hitting, yelling, throwing of food and drink and an expulsion from the bar by security. For anyone else on Earth, this would be a terribly embarrassing one time occurrence. For Snooki, it was what she would call a “Saturday”:

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi slapped a man, sparked a food fight and threw alcohol over him during a bar fight in South Beach, Miami, on Saturday night — and RadarOnline.com has the exclusive video. In retaliation, the man showered the Jersey Shore star with his own drink, during the incident at Ocean’s 10 bar on Ocean Drive at around 6pm. MTV was filming the second series of the hit reality show, at the time. Police were not called.

Nicole Snooki Polizzi must still be smartin’ from having to dump her guido boyfriend Emilio Masella (for allegedly “using” her for fame) because homegirl was spotted drowning her sorrows in a big ass glass of margarita in Miami Beach, FL this week. It’s impressive that anyone would be able to tackle a huge drink like this, especially someone who is small enough to jump inside for a swim IN the drink:

It’s a wonder that poor little Snooki has a liver at all to speak of but … I guess more power to her. I suppose it takes a lot out of someone to find the gumption to break-up with a lover via voicemail but, well, this is Snooki we’re talking about. I bet the sweet little dear has no idea how tragic she really seems to be. OY!

Last week we learned that MTV cameras invaded Miami Beach, FL as they set up for the arrival of the original cast of Jersey Shore, who will be filming season 2 of their reality TV show there for the next few months. Yesterday, the cast made their official arrival in Miami to begin filming new eps of their show … and they were met by a throng of eager Miami fans:
