Last weekend we learned that Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey got themselves hitched on a private island in a ceremony filmed for a TV special. A few days later, we got to see a couple of photos from La-Nessa‘s big day. Today we get to see a few photos of the happily married couple on as they honeymooned together on the island of St. Barts. On Saturday we learned that longtime couple Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey got themselves hitched in a “private” ceremony on a “secret” island … that will be broadcast on national television at the end of this month. Today we get our first look at the first photos from that clandestine wedding. TLC, the cable network airing the La-Nessa wedding special, has been advertising the program for a couple of weeks now showcasing the events leading up to the wedding. But today, we get to see photos and read deets from the real deal. Check ‘em out below.

This weekend the couple issued a statement to People magazine announcing that the pair have gotten themselves married in secret … on a tropical island … somewhere. Naturally, because of all the secrecy, there are no photos (yet) from the ceremony so we’ll have to assume that it was a lovely affair. Read on for all the know deets about the La-Nessa nuptials.

Congratulations are in order for longtime couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo today … cuz the couple have officially announced that they are engaged to be married! La-Nessa have been together ever since Nick divorced Jessica and while Jess has run thru a string of suitors over the years, Nick and Vanessa have pretty much been one of the most stable couples in Hollywood. All these years later, I guess it’s time for the couple to say their I Dos:

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are taking their relationship to the next level: They’re getting hitched! “We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together,” the longtime couple announced in a joint statement. Lachey, 36, popped the question to Minnillo, 29, on Thursday “near a beach” in California, with an Asscher-cut diamond flanked with trapezoids from Bader & Garrin, a source tells PEOPLE. On Thursday afternoon, Lachey took to Twitter to write, “Hey all. If anyone’s heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the love.” “They are very happy,” the source adds. “They make each other happy.”

Aww … yay! I’m so happy to hear that these two are finally ready to seal the deal and get hitched for real. You may recall that La-Nessa broke up for a short while in June of 2009 but they didn’t stay apart for long and have been happily attached ever since. I had a feeling these two would end up getting married someday … and, to be honest, I’m surprised it actually took this long. I can understand why Nick might be gun-shy about marriage considering how terribly his marriage to Jessica failed … but I think he and Vanessa will live a very long and very happy life together. Let’s send the happy couple our warmest congrats on a happily every after!

US Weekly magazine is reporting the sad news today that celeb couple Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey have called off their romantic affiliation after almost 3 years together. You may recall that Vanessa was Nick‘s first girlfriend after he divorced from Jessica Simpson in 2005 … but now La-Nessa are dunzo, too:

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have split, Usmagazine.com has learned. A source close to the couple tells Us: “It was an amicable break-up. They walk away from it still friends.” Adds another source, “They still care about each other very much. This is what’s best for both of them.” The couple hooked up in 2006 — the year after Lachey split from wife Jessica Simpson. In 2007, Minnillo told Us she wanted to have kids with Lachey: “I always say I want three boys and a girl, but at the end of the day, I just want healthy kids.”

HMMM … kids. I believe that kids were part of the reason that led to Nick‘s divorce from Jessica … and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if that is the case again this time with Vanessa. To be honest, I really liked these two together … they had about the same amount of fame (he a former boybander, she a former MTV VJ) that I thought would equal a successful long term relationship. Clearly that was not so. Bummer. I wish both Vanessa and Nick happiness no matter who they end up with next.

The celeb news isn’t all about the couple lurve this Valentine’s Day weekend as new photos of Nick Lachey chillin’ with a buxom, mysterious blonde woman have made their way out of Paradise Island in the Bahamas this week. Nick was spotted enjoying some downtime by the pool this week with a lovely lady who is clearly NOT his girlfriend Vanessa Minillo while he was in the Bahamas to do some promo for … well, I dunno what he is promoting but that’s exactly what he was doing. Earlier this month I understand that Nick was spotted in Florida enjoying the SuperBowl festivities sans Vanessa … and now this solo trip to Paradise Island … could the couple’s separation be a sign of what’s to come?

Now, just because Nick Lachey was spied chatting up a Jessica Simpson-like blonde woman while he was away on a “work trip” without his girlfriend Vanessa Millio does NOT mean that A.) he is cheating on her or B.) they are breaking up or are having problems. These photos only show two people lookin’ friendly … in a beautiful resort town … without any significant others around to supervise. I’m sure it’s totally innocent. What do y’all think?
