Back in June of last year, the Backstreet Boys surprised an NYC audience at a New Kids on the Block concert by jumping up on stage to perform … thus was born NKOTBSB. Since that time, the megaboyband recorded an album together and went on tour. I honestly never considered seeing the show but I kept hearing such great things … and NKOTB is a group I never saw in concert back in the 90s so I thought … what the Hell. I managed to score a couple of sweet tix for David and me and we went to the Anaheim, CA show last night. I was expecting a fun concert but I was not expecting to LOVE it as much as I did. I gotta say … NKOTB blew me away!

Last night the celebs made their way out to the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, CA last night to attend the 2010 American Music Awards. Tween sensation Justin Bieber was the big winner at the show, taking home 4 awards (including Artist of the Year) but there were plenty of the Lucite trophies to go around for other deserving artists. Look at little Willow Smith showing off her unique fashion sensibilities. Homegirl is only getting started … the little girl is just fabulous. New mama-to-be P!nk was lookin’ fabulous herself … altho she wasn’t bumpin’ out too much on the red carpet, she did have that beautiful glow that all pregnant women have. The pairing of the New Kids on the Block with the Backstreet Boys was just … genius! Separately, the boy bands are just meh … together, they’re actually interesting again. Donnie Wahlberg, who is (as y’all are well aware) a member of the iconic boyband New Kids on the Block, published an interesting new blogpost on the official NKOTB website yesterday. It would seem that Donnie is very excited about the prospect of NKOTB hitting the road again this coming Summer after the guys completed a fairly successful tour last Fall. It should be noted that Donnie reveals that he was in Amsterdam when he wrote this new blogpost … which *might* explain why his post is so … erratic. LOL! This post really reads like it was copy edited by Courtney Love. It’s absolutely impossible to know for sure BUT, it would seem that Donnie may have been under the influence of something when he wrote this blogpost. Mebbe he was under the influence of excitement, mebbe under the influence of glee … mebbe he was under the influence of happiness that the world now knows that his KNOTB bandmate Jonathan Knight is out of closet? OR … mebbe it’s something else ;) Who knows … all I know is that I think it’s safe to induct Donne Wahlberg into the Crazy Celeb Blog Hall of Fame.
