Last month we learned that David Beckham had signed on to endorse a new $2,000 mobile phone for Motorola called the AURA and we got our first look at Becks chatting away on the device as he left a photoshoot for the new Motorola ad campaign. Today to we get to see the fruits of his labor in a new Borg meets Terminator style shirtless photo of Becks showing off his AURA for Motorola:

Yesterday we saw photos of Cristiano Ronaldo stripping off his shirt in ecstatic glee, in fine David Beckham fashion, after he scored the winning goal in the Manchester United vs. Porto match down in Portugal but it looks like Becks has to go one step further to surpass little Cristiano. Becks ain’t content with merely showing off his bare chest … he wants to share his innards as well. David Beckham, who will be staying in Milan, Italy for the next couple of months in order to continue playing with AC Milan, was spotted making his exit from a new Motorola photoshoot earlier this week gabbing on the company’s newest luxury mobile phone … which he will be endorsing in a new ad campaign that is scheduled to hit the market in a few weeks. Here is Becks and his shiny new Motorola AURA mobile phone … which will cost mere mortals a cool $2,000 to own for themselves:

I understand that the edgy and provocative new ad campaign is Becks‘s next step to further entrench himself as a style icon. Considering that the Motorola AURA will retail for $2,000 due to its high quality design and materials, here’s hopin’ for the company’s sake that the ads can do the trick:

The specs on the phone are pretty impressive … it’s the first mobile phone that is able to display up to 16 million colors, the gears on the flip hinge are coated with Tungsten Carbide and the lens is made out of a 62-carat sapphire crystal. Basically, the phone is the definition of posh, as it were. A fancy phone like this prolly means that Becks is pullin’ in a fancy paycheck to endorse it. At least with all his public whining about wanting to stay in Milan rather than faithfully fulfilling his original contract with the LA Galaxy, he still manages to make sure that his major endorsement deals are paid heed to. I ain’t gonna lie, the phone looks and sounds pretty sweet … I guess I just wish he’d use it to call his bosses at the Galaxy to tell them that he’s decided to come home to SoCal where he belongs ;)
