Hollywood’s most recognizable stars have joined MEAN’s Cinemash, an eye-catching video project created by MEAN magazine. MEAN’s Cinemash recreates scenes from prominent films – ranging from cult classics to Oscar winners, all with eyebrow-raising casts. The series kicked off with Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt cinemashing the classic film SID AND NANCY. The ensemble casts include some of the biggest names in comedy, such as Will Arnett, Thomas Lennon, and Aziz Ansari, alongside the most unexpected actors, such as hip-hop artist Common and Channing Tatum. Available exclusively for download on Microsoft’s Zune, and streaming on MSN, the films will be released weekly throughout the summer.

Okay, so either Milo lost a bet or he is gearing up for a new gig (a remake of Slingblade, perhaps?). I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this new ‘do of Milo’s … the sides seem awfully short and the top seems disproportionately longish. Milo is a good looking man and he is capable of making most anything look good … but I dunno about this haircut. What do y’all think … thumbs up or puke on your shoes bad?

[Saturday] evening, cyclist Lance Armstrong rallied friends, the bike-friendly, and local leaders as they took to the streets of Hollywood as part of his Livestrong: Hope Rides Again promotion. Armstrong was joined on two wheels by local civic leaders like Councilmembers Eric Garcetti and Tom LaBonge, and later by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and artist Shepard Fairey all to raise funds and launch a global art exhibition called “Stages”, which features the work of 21 artists and will help support the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Fairey’s iconic work can be see emblazoned on the buildings of Hollywood; although “Hope” is a key term for Armstrong’s exhibit, it’s also one that Fairey has used elsewhere–maybe you’ve seen it? Here he’s making do with “Defiance,” “Courage,” and “Action!”

Sounds like an amazing event, I love that Milo was able to take part in the event as I know how dedicated he is to the work of the Livestrong campaign. As disinclined to partake in anything of a physical nature, I absolutely commend those who are willing to devote their time and energy for amazing causes like this. The Lance Armstrong Foundation works so hard to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, I simply have to respect anyone who lends a helping hand to the cause. Kudos to all the participants in this weekend’s event. Oh, and mebbe Milo can wear a bit more spandex next time he gets on a bike? Thanks!

Heroes costars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia have called it quits, Usmagazine.com has learned. “It was a lifestyle conflict,” a source close to the couple tells Us, adding that the split happened within the last week. “They were in very different places.” Adds the insider, “They are still on friendly terms. There are no hard feelings.” The source tells Us that Panettiere, 19, “is young. She likes to go out in the Hollywood scene and that’s not his style.” Ventimiglia, 31, “has been concentrating on work on his production company [Divide Pictures],” the source adds. The two, who began dating in 2008, had been an open secret for months – in part because of their 12-year age gap.

Boo! This is sad news … I really thought that HaLo really made a supercute couple. Despite the age difference, they always looked so happy to be with one another … I’m bummed they’re dunzo. I wonder if that rumor that Hayden was spied making out with Jesse McCartney had anything to do with the break-up. I hope that the make-out session happened after the couple decided to call it quits — and wasn’t the cause of the split. I’m glad to know that the pair have decided to remain friends. It’s still a bit sad that they couldn’t make it work :(

Good looking, toned and talented – Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia looked every inch the superhero couple as they walked hand in hand along the beach. The pair, who both star in the science fiction drama Heroes, are enjoying a romantic break on the French Polynesian island of Bora Bora. Despite dating for more than a year, it is rare for the couple to be spotted together in public. It emerged the pair, who have a 12-year age gap between them, were dating in January last year. Rumours first circulated when they were seen smooching at an Emmys party in September 2007 and by the end of the year they were regularly seen out together at showbiz events. Milo, 31, had previously denied rumours when asked about reports of a possible romance with the 18-year-old actress. He said: “She and I are close friends. It’s only natural that people are going to couple us together.” The couple met on the set of superhero drama Heroes and they enjoy a close relationship on as well as off screen.

Nice to see that the couple are still happily attached. Because we don’t see them out and about very often it’s hard to tell how things are going (we last saw the pair in public together back before Halloween). I’d say these new pics of the couple on holiday together is a very good sign that things are coming along swimmingly with the couple. I like them together … they make a nice match. Here’s hoping that 2009 will be a very good one for HaLo … as it stands, it looks like they’ve got the New Year off to a great start!

Since it’s almost Halloween, I thought it would be fun to do a costume contest where two lucky folks will win a signed comic book each. When I arrived, the line of folks who came out for the event stretched down the street and around the block, it was very cool. I was fortunate enough to get to hang out with Milo’s best friends Dino and Russ (some of you may know that they, along with Milo, are the founding members of the Divide Social Club) for the duration of the in-store appearance. I got to meet a few Pink readers and, after the event was finished, I also got to snap a pic with Milo himself. I have to give a huge shout-out to Pink readers Nick, Abby, Cheyenne and Natalie (all pictured above). It was great getting to meet you all :) Respect also goes out to all the DSC gang who came out for the event. One member of DSC flew all the way from Switzerland to be at yesterday’s in-store event. Amazing! I was also lucky enough to meet Milo’s very sweet and supportive parents. They came out to the event to proudly watch their son meet and greet his fans … let me tell you, it was a pleasure meeting them. In fact, I snapped a few Polaroid pics for my collection and Milo’s dad was the one who took the Polaroid of Milo and me. Yesterday’s event was really very cool. I urge all y’all comic book fans to make your way to your local shops and pick up this new Rest series. I understand that the individual books will be published in graphic novel form soon and will be available for sale at Amazon, Borders, Barnes & Noble, etc. … but you’re gonna wanna get the individual copies as well.

I am happy to see that HaLo are still happily attached … I, too, was starting to get worried that there may have been something amiss in their romance. You may recall that the couple were spotted all over town together back when they were keeping their relationship a secret … then the sightings tapered off and stopped completely after they came clean about the romanticness of their involvement earlier this year. In any event, I’m glad to see these two out and about in public again. With all the break-ups going on in Hollywood these days, I’m not sure my frail heart could take another case of dunzoness.
