Here are a couple of not particularly interesting photos of Dexter star Michael C. Hall making his way out of his friendly neighborhood grocery store loaded down with supplies to take home to wife and Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter. I decided to post these fairly boring photos to remind y’all that the fourth season of Dexter premieres on Showtime TONIGHT at 9pm:

I was fortunate enough to be able to preview tonight’s season 4 premiere ep a few weeks ago and let me tell you, it’s awesome!! Dexter is seriously one of my fave shows ever and tonight’s premiere ep really sets up the fourth season very well … I don’t want to spoil a thing … you’ll simply HAVE to tune in tonight to see it. Can I just say that I LOVE that the new TV season is now in full swing? WEEE!!

Last night the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out in a lavish ceremony at the Nokia Theater at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles, CA which was broadcast on CBS. As I mentioned earlier, Neil Patrick Harris KILLED as Emmy host last night but the awards show was more than just about him (as hard to believe as that may be). Here are a few pictures from the red carpet arrivals at the 2009 Emmy Awards last night:

While there were a lot of pretty people on the red carpet (Alyson Hannigan looked amazing, as did Drew Barrymore) the real focus of the night was on who won what for which TV show. Newlyweds and Dexter co-stars Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have made their way to Madrid to do some promo work for the new season of their show to air in Spain and appeared in person at a press gathering yesterday afternoon. I can only assume that either A.) it’s really hot in Spain right now or B.) Jennifer failed to pack her antiperspirant for her trip to Madrid because, as is plainly evident in these photos, the poor dear embarrassingly sweat thru her shirt and showed off a pair of massively moist pit stains:

Truth be told, if I were standing that close to hottie Michael C. Hall, I might sweat thru my clothes too … but she’s married to him so that cannot be the reason. Fans of Dexter might know that this is TOTALLY something that Jennifer Carpenter’s Dexter character, Deb Morgan, might do if she were forced to appear in front of a galley of press folks (then she’d cuss up a swear-storm afterward) … perhaps Ms. Carpenter was just really in character at yesterday’s appearance? In any event, I love Dexter, I love Michael C. Hall and I love Jennifer Carpenter … pit stains and all.

Michael C. Hall, who stars as Dexter Morgan — the serial killer with a heart of gold — on Showtime’s Dexter, was spotted doing a bit of serious shoe shopping here in SoCal this week. Here are a few photos of the usually shy and oftentimes invisible Hall checking out the selection at Mephisto shoe store in Beverly Hills, CA:

I gotta say, I really love seeing Michael C. Hall out and about here in SoCal. He is very rarely seen in public so it’s always a treat to catch him in the act … of, well, anything. As some of you may recall, we learned early last month that Hall and his Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter (who plays his sister Deb Morgan on the show) were secretly hitched on New Year’s Eve. Clearly Michael and Jennifer do not need to be joined at the hip now that they are married as it is plainly clear that Michael enjoys shoe shopping on his own. I’m not entirely sure which pair of kicks he settled on but I’m pretty sure the folks at Mephisto made sure to get the guy a killer deal. What, is the joke too obvious?

Dexter co-stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who play brother and sister Dexter and Deb Morgan on screen, appear to still be very much an item as the two were spotted out and about enjoying an intimate afternoon of grocery shopping … take a look:

The first time that we saw these two out in public together (ie. together together) was late last year when the couple were first spied out on a date together. While I *still* find it creepy that these on-screen sibs are dating in real life (because I have a problem separating reality from TV) I think they look good together. I understand, by way of a little bird in the know, that they are very happy together and I guess that is all that matters. New eps of Dexter premiere on Showtime on September 28 … so, woot!

And so … another San Diego Comic Con has come to pass … and as usual, I was out of the country and unable to attend — but there are a lot of fun pictures to check out that will kinda sorta make it feel like I’m part of the experience but, you know, without having to actually endure all the ridiculous costumery in person ;) Here are a few pics of some of the more zealous Comic Con attendees this year:

This show has surpassed 24 as my favorite TV drama and I am very anxious to see where things will go in the next season — especially after watching the preview trailer for the new season which debuted at Comic Con in San Diego this weekend.
