Megan Fox Will Replace Victoria Beckham As The New Armani Underwear Model

The changing of the guard underwear
Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Last week we learned the news that footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been chosen as the new male spokesmodel for Armani Underwear, taking over the modeling reigns from fellow footballer David Beckham. Today we learn that Megan Fox has been tapped as the new female spokesmodel for the designer undiestaking over for Victoria Beckham:

American actress Megan Fox will strip down to her underwear for Giorgio Armani’s Emporio Armani fashion brand, the Italian design house said on Wednesday. Fox, who starred in the “Transformers” films, follows in the footsteps of “Posh Spice” Victoria Beckham who along with her soccer-playing husband David heads the Emporio Armani autumn/winter underwear campaign. The actress will also be the new official worldwide face for Armani Jeans for next year. Armani said in a statement the soon-to-be unveiled adverts were shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott at the weekend in Lost Angeles. The duo also took the Beckhams’ underwear ad pictures. Last week, the Milan-based fashion house said Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo would replace David Beckham as the new sports model for Emporio Armani’s men’s underwear.

Shortly after it was announced that Ronaldo would be taking over for Becks, Vicki B. announced that she would not be renewing her Armanimodeling contract either … so it was just a matter of time before the announcement was made as to who would be replacing her. Considering how Megan Fox has saturated the media with her presence in the past couple of years, Armani’s decision to choose her as their new spokesmodel makes sense. It remains to be seen if Megan and Cristiano will appear in ads together like Becks and Posh did during their reign but, if Armani is smart, they will feature their new models together as well as individually. I still think that Armani should’ve done everything in their power to keep Becks on board but … I guess now that it’s a done deal, I’m curious to see what the new ads will look like. What do y’all think … do you want to see Megan Fox modeling Armani women’s underwear on billboards all around the world?

Megan Fox Does ‘Rolling Stone’ Magazine

“Men are scared of vaginas.”
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Megan Fox, everyone’s favorite interviewee and fave of the Transformers crew, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. In her coverstory interview, Megan explains how men are “scared of vaginas” because they fear women who are “completely in charge of [their] sexuality”. Oh yes … Megan’s RS interview is full of wonderful bon mots like this. Here is Megan’s Rolling Stone magazine coverphoto and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:

Megan Fox has proclaimed herself bisexual, called actors narcissistic douche bags, flat-out lied to the press about a lesbian teen affair and slipped some scathing words about her Transformers director Michael Bay into interviews. So what makes this sexy starlet tick? Rolling Stone’s Erik Hedegaard goes head to head with the star of Diablo Cody’s Jennifer’s Body in the new issue and learns the secret of her bewitching power: “a powerful, confident vagina.” “Men are scared of vaginas,” she says, telling RS a woman is most powerful when she is “completely in charge of her sexuality.” So what makes this seemingly in-control 23-year-old star crave the security of her pillow cocoon in bed at night and let her temper flare so wildly she’s told off-again, on-again boyfriend Brian Austin Green, “I’m going to stab you with something”? Fox opens up about childhood panic attacks, the only two relationships she’s ever had, and her struggle to reconcile her public persona with her true self. “I don’t really want to share myself with the public,” she says. “I want to deflect attention from my reality.” In Jennifer’s Body, Fox is a demon-girl who literally devours her horny high school classmates and engages in the most anticipated girl-on-girl make-out scene of the year. “Clearly I can’t argue that it’s not gratuitous, because it is,” she admits.

Rolling Stone promises that there is much more interesting stuff in Megan’s coverstory interview to read in the new issue of the mag which hits newsstands today … apparently Megan Fox is a “self-loather”. HMMM. You wouldn’t really know it by reading/listening to her interviews. After the jump, check out some of the photos that are included in Megan’s Rolling Stone photospread …

Megan Fox Does ‘Wonderland’ Magazine

'Wonder' woman
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Megan Fox, who can be seen in the upcoming teen horror thriller Jennifer’s Body later on this month, is featured on the cover and in the pages of Wonderland magazine. Apparently celebrating it’s 4th anniversary, Wonderland chose Ms. Fox to grace it’s anniversary issue … behold:

In a new interview this week, Megan Fox admitted she had huge insecurities about her stunning looks, claiming she doesn’t ‘like being seen’. But despite her protests, it sure looked like the 23-year-old is comfortable with her looks and in front of a camera as she strikes a series of sexy poses for a new magazine shoot. In the pictorial for British magazine Wonderland, Megan embraces the fashions of the Eighties for the desert shoot. In the sexy shots, taken by photographer Mariano Vivanco, Megan poses in a series of black outfits with her normally straight black hair curled in a wild perm. She seems to be fully aware of her sexuality as she shows off her fabulous figure in tight-fitting outfits and gives the camera a knowing look. Her sultry appearance contradicts an interview she gave to the American edition of Cosmopolitan magazine this month, in which she claimed she was ‘hysterically insecure’. She told the October issue of Cosmopolitan: ‘I’m very confident in how I project my personality. ‘But in terms of how I look, I’m completely, hysterically insecure. I’m self-loathing, introverted and neurotic. I don’t like being seen. I want to be invisible.’

LOL. You’ll pardon me if I don’t entirely believe that Megan Fox doesn’t like to be seen considering her career choice and the relish with which she seems to enjoy all the high profile benefits that come along with her chosen career. Hahahaha … I usually have a hard time with many of the things that come out of this girl’s mouth when she is interviewed but this time, yeah … LOL. After the jump, check out a few photos from this Wonderland photospread — I promise, there are no more quotes …

The 2009 Teen Choice Awards Are Handed Out

'Twilight' walks away with 11 surf boards
Monday, August 10th, 2009

Last night tweens of all ages convened at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City here in LA for the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. While the show doesn’t air on TV until tonight, the whole shebang was filmed last night. Britney Spears was on hand to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, the Ultimate Choice Award, from the Teen Choice folks but it was Twilight that cleaned up … taking home 11 surf board trophies. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals and some deets from last night’s affair:

“Twilight” struck a vein at the Teen Choice Awards. The adolescent vampire drama dominated Sunday’s ceremony with 11 wins, including choice movie drama, romance, liplock, rumble and soundtrack. Kristen Stewart won the movie drama actress category while Robert Pattinson picked up two surfboard-shaped trophies — one for movie drama actor, another for male hottie. “We’ll see you guys in theaters November 20th,” co-star Taylor Lautner teased the squealing crowd. Lautner and Ashley Greene, who will appear alongside Stewart and Pattinson in the upcoming “Twilight” sequel “New Moon,” were honored as the male and female movie fresh faces while Cam Gigandet was crowned movie villain. “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke joined the cast on stage to accept the adaptation’s pack of trophies. The Teen Choice Awards, which were selected by over 83 million votes cast online, honor celebrities in TV, film, music and sports. Several winners — including 16-year-old Miley Cyrus and show hosts the Jonas Brothers — took home multiple trophies at the 11th annual ceremony at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Gibson Amphitheatre. Cyrus sailed away with six awards, winning for comedy TV show and actress for “Hannah Montana;” music/dance movie actress and hissy fit for “Hannah Montana: The Movie;” music single for “The Climb” and summer song for “Before the Storm” with the Jonas Brothers. Cyrus also presented Britney Spears the ultimate choice award. “I’m a huge fans of hers,” Cyrus said before a subdued Spears accepted her own surfboard. The Jonas Brothers won five trophies, including choice male red carpet icons. They kicked off the show performing on a tiny stage that moved through the audience. Throughout the taped ceremony, the trio completed dares submitted by fans. At one point, younger brother Nick was challenged to hug a lineup of female fans. “It’s just hugs,” Joe cautioned the women. “You’re not going for long-term relationships here, girls.” Other big winners included “Gossip Girl” and Zac Efron. Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick picked up TV drama actor, actress, villain and TV series awards for the sudsy CW show while Efron won for music/dance movie actor in “High School Musical 3″ and comedy movie actor and rockstar moment in “17 Again.” The ceremony itself was peppered with several odd moments. Kathy Griffin arrived on the red carpet with Levi Johnston, the teenage ex-fiance of Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Mike Tyson took shears to Joe Jonas’ head as part of stunt. And before presenting the choice hottie awards, comedian Dane Cook pleaded to Vanessa Hudgens to keep her clothes on. The Teen Choice Awards is scheduled to air Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.

LOL! Yes, it was Dane Cook’s shout-out to Vanessa Hudgens’s nekkid pics that was the TRUE highlight of the show … which you can watch HERE just in case FOX decides not to air the interaction on TV tonight. After the jump, check out pics from the show of some of the winners collecting their surf board awards and check out the FULL VERY LONG LIST of Teen Choice Award Winners …

Megan Fox Does ‘Entertainment Weekly’

Her latest magazine cover
Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Megan Fox, along with Autobot leader Optimus Prime, is featured on the cover and in the pages of this week’s new issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine. Because it has been decreed by the Powers that Be that Miss Fox MUST grace the cover of every magazine in creation, none of us should at all be surprised that she has scored yet another magazine cover. Here is her coverphoto pic along with a portion of her interview:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Transformers turned you into an overnight star. Looking back, how do you feel about the movie?
MEGAN FOX: I’m terrible in it. It’s my first real movie and it’s not honest and not realistic. The movie wasn’t bad, I just wasn’t proud about what I did.

What percentage of your range have people seen so far?
Seven percent. On the new one, I tried. But unless you’re a seasoned veteran, working with Michael Bay is not about an acting experience.

What was it like the first time you worked with him?
I was actually an extra on Bad Boys II [in 2003]. There’s a club scene, and I was one of the club kids. I was in a stars-and-stripes bikini and a cowboy hat, dancing under a waterfall.

Wait, what?
Yeah, I was still in ninth grade. I liked it at the time, because I was getting out of school. So I was like, Fuck yeah, I don’t care! And I got paid extra because if you allow them to put water on you, you get paid extra. I got probably $600.

How did you feel about being sexualized like that when you were 15?
I thought it was awesome. I was going to a Christian high school and I wasn’t a feminist yet. I hadn’t sat back and analyzed society yet. I was 15! I just did what I was told to do.

What did your parents think?
My mom was with me! I was always übersexual, so she wasn’t shocked. I was always wearing the smallest clothes I could find. I would go to the mall like that — in a short, short skirt and a giant wedge heel. That’s what you do when you’re a teenage girl in a small town.

You’re a bigger star now than when you did the first Transformers. Did they beef up your role in the sequel?
The humans are still secondary to the robots because it’s a movie about robots. I feel like the part is adequate. I feel like we do something that’s watchable on our end and then ILM makes it phenomenal.

You don’t sound convinced that this is the greatest movie on earth.
It’s not trying to be the greatest movie on earth. It’s going to be the best action movie of the summer. Hands down, it will win that. But it’s not trying to be a Golden Globe-nominated film. It’s a badass popcorn summer movie.

You up for a third Transformers?
Sure. I mean, I can’t shit on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s ass. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting. And once you realize that, it becomes almost fun because you can be in the moment and go, ”All right, I know that when he calls Action! I’m either going to be running or screaming, or both.”

Are you happy with the kinds of roles you’re getting offered now?
I get offered some outrageous shit, like Bikini Summer Camp Island, or whatever.

Do you think you’re a good actress?
I think I could be. If I really buckle down, I think one day I could be a very good actress. But so far, I haven’t done anything yet.

You’ve only done a couple of movies, so you’re still mostly known as a sex symbol rather than an actress.
It doesn’t bother me. I don’t know why someone would complain about that. That just means that the bar has been set pretty low. People don’t expect me to do anything that’s worth watching. So I can only be an overachiever. I think all women in Hollywood are known as sex symbols. That’s what our purpose is in this business. You’re merchandised, you’re a product. You’re sold and it’s based on sex. But that’s okay. I think women should be empowered by that, not degraded.

Do you think you’re good-looking?
Well, I’m clearly not ugly.

Looking ahead, where would you like to see your career in five years? What’s the best-case scenario?
If I’m still making Transformers five years from now, I might not be so überexcited. But there’s nothing specific that I need to accomplish. I just want to still be working.

What’s the worst-case scenario?
Umm…that I’d be on The Hills?

LMAO!! This has to be Megan Fox’s best interview yet (click HERE to read the full interview). Love her or hate her, there is no denying that anytime she opens her mouth something very hilarious is going to come out. I hope she keeps giving these off the cuff interviews. I love hearing her speak because it gives you a sense of what is going on in that pretty little head of hers. While I can see how she prolly drives a lot of people crazy, I love her honesty. More interviews, please!!

‘Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen’ World Premieres In Tokyo

The promo show gets underway
Monday, June 8th, 2009

The principal cast, including Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, of the Summer blockbuster sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (along with director Michael Bay) made their way to Tokyo, Japan today for the world premiere of their new film. Here are a few pics from the red carpet arrivals at the movie premiere at Roppongi Hills earlier today (last night for us here in the US):

When sharing a red carpet with a 16 foot robot, Megan Fox knew she’d have to go the extra mile to get attention. The actress guaranteed she made a maximum impact at the world premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in Tokyo with a striking figure-hugging purple gown. Taking a style tip from seasoned red carpet veteran Liz Hurley, Megan showed off her fabulous legs in a slashed-to-the-thigh satin gown. The 23-year-old beauty joined co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Isabel Lucas, Josh Duhamel, Ramon Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson at the Toho cinema in Roppongi Hills for the first screening of the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster. Hundred of Japanese fans queued for hours to see their idols, while only a lucky few managed to see the eagerly-anticipated film. The new movie sees Shia and Megan reprises their roles as teenage couple Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes, who team up with their Autobot robot friends to stop the Decepticons from destroying the planet. Speaking on the red carpet, Megan thanked director Michael Bay for giving her a role in the original film, which launched her Hollywood career. She said: ‘It’s mind-blowing. I think it has opened a lot of doors for me career-wise, but there is a certain loss of anonymity, like leaving your house and having people take your picture all the time. That is a different kind of life.’

I’m curious to hear what the reviews for this sequel will be like. As of yet, I’ve not read anything substantial … but now that the film is premiering, I’m sure we’ll be hearing about it soon enough. I am really looking forward to the release of this film … I hope it’s as fun as the first movie. And here we go … the promo machine for Transformers 2 is officially underway. Who’s excited?

Megan Fox Does British ‘GQ’ Magazine

Lick it up
Friday, June 5th, 2009

Megan Fox is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of British GQ magazine … here is the saucy starlet’s sexy coverphoto:

GQ UK has yet to post any portions of her coverstory interview online on their site but, to be honest, I’ve always found her photoshoots more interesting than her interviews. The cover declares that “Megan Fox will not be Censored” so I’m sure we’ll be hearing tidbits from her GQ interview soon enough. In the meantime, let’s check out photos from her new British GQ photospread …
