Lindsay Lohan, who spent her time in jail writing a new book, is enjoying day 2 of her 90 day rehab stint at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center where she has been admitted to the Neuropsychiatric Hospital of the medical center. While Lindsay cleans up her act in rehab, the world outside continues to turn … and exploit her notoriety. A few weeks ago we learned that Lindsay Lohan posed for the cover of Vanity Fair magazine in the days leading up to the start of her jail sentence on July 20 and it was assumed that VF was the last magazine that Lindsay posed for and spoke with before going to jail. Today we learn that that is not the case … Lindsay made some time to pose for and speak with Maxim magazine as well. Here is our first look at Lindsay on the cover of Maxim and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:

Hope she looks this good after rehab! Sexy ex-con Lindsay Lohan scampered out of jail in the middle of the night yesterday and sneaked into her new home for the next three months — a locked-down rehab center in West LA. Just before going to jail two weeks ago, the troubled “Mean Girls” star posed for some sizzling snapshots for Maxim magazine, showing exactly why she’s still such a desirable commodity. Lohan told the lad mag she plans to re-devote herself to work in the next year, while mixing in some international travel. The plan is “to focus on myself and my work and to move all press on me to focus on the work I do,” Lohan said, in editions that hit newsstands a week from today. “Also, I’d like to do more work in India and travel to Malawi.”

Um … what? No. Just … no. I get that Lindsay may think that she needs to fly around the world and do charity work but I contend she needs to settle her ass down and save herself. Before she can even think about doing “more work in India and travel to Malawi” she needs to get her own damn life in order and free herself from the addictions that forced her to go to jail and rehab in the first place. I think it’s best that she keep quiet about all this philanthropy she is planning to do once she gets done with her punishment … for everyone concerned. Sweet, little Amanda Bynes is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of the men’s magazine Maxim. In her coverstory interview with the mag, Amanda expresses her desire for people to lose their impressions of her as a girl and see her as the grown 23-year old woman she has become. Here are a few excerpts from her Maxim interview:

Posing for us is the greatest Valentine’s Day gift we can imagine. Thank you!
I’m honored! I had the best time on this shoot. I think every shot I did was sexy. Some people still see me as a kid, but I’m a 23-year-old woman now.

You want to show the world you’re all grown up?
I want to show people who I am. My parents were like, “Does this mean you’re gonna do sexy movies now?” I said, “Well, if they’re done the right way, then maybe!” I mean, I’m not gonna do porn, but if it’s a Leonardo DiCaprio movie or whatever…

Oh, we get it. If a scene involves making out with Leo DiCaprio, then it’s OK?
Ha, yeah, then I wouldn’t mind! Point is, it’s time for me to start making my own decisions.

As far as I can ascertain, Maxim has yet to publish Ashley‘s interview online … but something tells me that A.) folks who subscribe to Maxim don’t do so for the articles and B.) I don’t particularly care to read Greene‘s deep thoughts published in the pages of Maxim magazine. She is a very pretty girl … and I understand a fave of Maxim magazine (she’s been featured in the mag more than once or twice). While I realize this sort of promotion isn’t necessarily geared toward someone like me, I can deffo see its appeal for others.
