While mother and daughter pair Nicole Richie and Harlow Winter were bizzy lookin’ all kinds of cute here in LA yesterday, father and son pair Matthew McConaughey and Levi Alves were making their way out and about in NYC, NY. Here are a few cute pics of Matthew and his adorable little hobo son chillin’ in Central Park yesterday afternoon:

Awww … even dressed as a hobo, Levi is still adorable! I understand that mama Camila Alves was bizzy at a Bravo TV media event so the duty to care for Levi fell to Matthew … from what I understand, the guys had a great time in the city together. They make a cute pair … I’d love to see more of these two out and about in NYC this week.

Matthew McConaughey, who gave us our first look at his newborn daughter Vida Alves yesterday, took some time out of his bizzy daddy duties to get all gussied up for a beach photoshoot in Malibu, CA this week. Matthew, lookin’ fine in a fancy tux, posed for a new Hugo Boss ad campaign … behold:

Since we all know that Matthew is very fond of dressing down (on a seemingly daily basis) it’s nice to see him lookin’ all sharp and shizz in a tuxedo. The only time we really see Matthew lookin’ this dressed up is when he’s acting as spokesmodel for Hugo Boss. It’s a good look for him, I think. It’s a shame we don’t get to see more of this Matthew.

Earlier this month we learned that Matthew McConaughey and babymama Camila Alves welcomed the birth of their second child, a girl they named Vida Alves, and today Matthew is giving us our FIRST LOOK at their darling little girl:

Last Wednesday we got our first look at Matthew McConaughey out in public for the first time since the birth of his newborn daughter Vida Alves last weekend … today we get a second look at Matthew out and about but this time he is rockin’ a cute (but extremely sweaty) t-shirt that reads Vida is Beautiful:

As you may be aware, Vida is Portuguese for “life” so his t-shirt reads Life is Beautiful … which is a witty double entendre for Vida, my daughter, is Beautiful. See how that works? Clever, no? I’m not sure how much longer we’ll have to wait to see what little Miss Vida looks like but I’m thinkin’ it won’t be much longer. If memory serves, Matthew and babymama Camila Alves showed off their firstborn son Levi Alves in the pages of OK! magazine just about 2 weeks after he was born July of 2008. I’m guessing there will be a reveal for Vida Alves in much the same way.

We learned a few days ago that Matthew McConaughey and babymama Camila Alves welcomed the birth of their second child, a girl they named Vida Alves, and just yesterday Matthew surfaced in SoCal for the first time as a father of two:

Yeah, Matty boy didn’t look very different since the birth of his baby girl but he was rockin’ a skull cap that is emblazoned with his life’s motto “j.k. livin’”. Visitors to his official website know that j.k. livin’ (just keep living) is his life’s credo … which seems to be working out well for him. Congrats, again, go out to Matthew and Camila on the birth of their second child … I hope we don’t have to way very long to see what the little angel looks like :)

Matthew McConaughey has announced on his official website that his babymama Camila Alves has given birth to the couple’s second child early Sunday January 3, 2010. McConaughey proudly announces that his second child is a girl the couple have named Vida Alves McConaughey:

It’s a girl for Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves. The couple welcomed daughter Vida Alves McConaughey at 12:13 a.m. Sunday, the actor posted on his Web site. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz and joins big brother Levi, 17 months. McConaughey, 40, and Alves, 26, announced the pregnancy in June, blogging, “We pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time. Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows.” The couple, who began dating in 2006, chose not to find out the sex of the baby prior to delivery, just as they did with Levi. McConaughey encouraged fans to guess, however. “Not sure if it’s a boy or girl but we have our instincts,” he wrote. “What are you thinking?”

Yes, folks, back in June of last year Matthew blogged about the coming of his second child and now he is, once again, blogging in order to share the announcement of his baby girl’s birth. Considering how adorably cute the couple’s first child Levi Alves is, I’m sure little Miss Vida Alves will be just as adorable. Much love and congrats goes out to the newly expanded family!! I can’t wait to see her!!

Yesterday we read a blogpost written by Matthew McConaughey in celebration of his 40th birthday (which was Wednesday) wherein he waxed ecstatic about growing older while staying younger and now we may know just what exactly he was referring to. It turns out that Matty boy got himself a new toy for his 40th … a sexy black muscle car of his very own:

Don’t you just love how Matthew looks back longingly at his little baby after he locks her up in the parking lot? So cute. It looks like Matthew picked himself up a classic Camaro Z28 to tool around SoCal in. It’s a shame he’s all settled down with his lady and kid (well, kids … he’s got another on the way) cuz a car like this would really help him score a lot of … attention from the ladyfolk. But, as we read yesterday in his My Space blogpost, he is an older, wiser man who really appreciates his lot in life. I hope this sexy car comes with enough space for two baby seats in backseat … you know, safety first and all.

Matthew McConaughey turned 40 years old yesterday and decided to write a post for his official My Space blog in order to share with the world his feelings on the occasion. ………………..Cyber world….mcconaughey here, 40 years young today….thanks to all for the birthday wishes and to the people that share the same birthday, glad you were born too. The 30’s were good to me and I’m really looking forward to my 40’s, cause I’m late bloomer. Got everything I need for a perfect 40th…a happy and healthy lady, son, and another baby on the way….my family, closest friends and I celebrated last night with a surprise performance by one of my favorite artists Jamey Johnson….there were some epic stories told, lot of laughs and definitely some roasting. Somehow! No blood or glass broken, and that’s cus the gig was so organized by lady and we went ’til 4:30am…Going to spend some more time with my family and friends today, grillin steaks and sippin beers, celebratin more to live for….and again thanks for all the b-day wishes.

Aww … what a great sentiment to share on one’s birthday. I have to say … Mr. McConaughey has really grown up in the past few years. It wasn’t that long ago that Matthew was often spotted in a messy/drunken state, usually undressed in some fashion, making a bit of a fool of himself. As soon as he met Camila Alves and became a father to his son Levi, he went from acting like a drunken 18 year old fratboy to a grown adult man. I think he is very right when he says he is a “late bloomer” … much of his 30′s were spent acting as if he was in his 20′s. I have no doubt that the best is yet to come for Matthew McConaughey. He’s got a great attitude and, more importantly, it sounds like he’s got a great circle of loved ones to share his life with. Happy Birthday, Matthew! Just keep livin’, indeed.

Happy Hallowe’en, y’all!! As some of you may be well aware, Hallowe’en is the pagan new year and is said to be the time of the year when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest … meaning that ghosts and ghouls can cross over into the world of the living to either trick or treat us with spooky fun. Hollywood is never immune to the infectious pull of Hallowe’en each year … here are a few photos of some celebs all dressed up in Hallowe’en costumes this year:

I love that Ellen DeGeneres dressed up as Oprah Winfrey‘s O Magazine, Mickey Rourke dressed up as … well … I’m not sure what he dressed up as but it’s fun that he covered up his normally leathery tanned skin. The O’Connell brothers, Charlie and Jerry, dressed up as a shark and Shamu the whale respectively at the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times 17th annual Halloween Carnival held this week at Universal Studios … and Matthew McConaughey dressed up as the Bee Girl from the Blind Melon music video. See … it’s fun to dress up for Hallowe’en. I urge y’all to get in on the fun and dress up, too!! I am so excited for my costume! I wore a fun Incredible Hulk costume (see it HERE) to the Dead Man’s Bones concert last night but my main Hallowe’en costume will be revealed later on today (watch my Twitter). Here are a few photos of Matthew McConaughey doing a bit of handy work around his home in Malibu, CA (in various states of undress) while his grandmother/nanny looks after his son, Levi Alves. As you may recall, we recently saw photos of Granny Alves yanking little Levi up by his right arm while he was playing at the beach … I’m not trying to overworry here but, it really looks like he is missing his right arm entirely in these photos:

I mean, I know that Levi didn’t have his arm pulled off by his overzealous grandmother but it is humorous how you cannot see his arm at all in these photos. I really do hope the little guy wasn’t injured by granny’s need to manhandle the little dude. As for Matthew, it’s been so long since we’ve seen him out in public sans shirt that I don’t even know what to say. The only thing that would make these pictures even awesomer would be a cameo by McConanaughey‘s new pet bird. These people need a reality show, don’t you think?
