There's that scowl I love so dearly
Mary Lynn Rajskub Surfaces On The Set Of ‘Modern Family’

Mary Lynn Rajskub, the amazing actress known for her role as Chloe O’Brien on 24, has been cast in an upcoming episode of Modern Family. Just yesterday, Mary Lynn joined the cast of the show to film her first scenes for the ep at The Grove here in Los Angeles, CA … behold:

It has been revealed … that Mary Lynn Rajskub … has been hired to portray [a] gay-radar-less girlfriend [on an upcoming episode of "Modern Family"]. Rajskub, who was last seen on “24″, arrived at The Grove in casual blue shirt and pants along with the show’s regular cast members such as Ed O’Neill, Sofia Vergara, twins Ella Hiller and Jaden Hiller, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson who plays Mitchell. The rest of the cast were not present. Shortly later, Rasjkub changed outfit to pattern shirt and blue cardigan while tagging along shopping bags. On the other end, Cam and Mitchell walk together with their baby Lily in stroll. It looks like they would film a scene where they bump into each other while shopping. ABC is yet to announce when Rasjkub’s character … will appear. The Emmy-winning comedy [airs] every Wednesday at 9/8c.

LOVE IT! Now, I must admit … I do not watch Modern Family but I hear from everyone who does that the show is very funny. David loves the show and watches it religiously. I’m gonna have to tune in to watch this particular episode because Mary Lynn is my girl and I lover her in pretty much everything! It’s unclear if her trademark scowl will be featured on the show as part of her character or if ML was just showing her realness on set … I can’t wait to see her on Modern Family and find out :)

Neil Patrick Harris Wins 2, Betty White Wins 1
The 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Are Handed Out

Yesterday afternoon the 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out in a ceremony held at the Nokia Theater in downtown LA, CA much to the delight of a few of our fave television actors. Neil Patrick Harris, who we learned last week will be welcoming the birth of twin babies this October, managed to win two of the awards handed out yesterday and our beloved Golden Girl Betty White nabbed a trophy for her hosting performance on Saturday Night Live last Spring. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals yesterday (loving Mary Lynn Rajskub and Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks in her sexy Christian Siriano dress) and some deets about who won what:

She won for being naughty on the subject of muffins, and he won – twice – for singing and dancing. Betty White’s Facebook-generated Saturday Night Live hosting gig and Neil Patrick Harris’s turns as Tonys host and special guest star on Glee landed both veteran TV stars in the winners’ circle at Saturday night’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Though White, 88, was not at the Nokia Theater to collect her prize (her Snickers ad was also up for TV’s highest honor), presenters John Lithgow and Clyde Phillips accepted on her behalf. Meanwhile, Harris, 37, was present and accounted for … Harris, who also thanked his partner and (co-parent-to-be) David Burtka, is up for a best supporting actor in a series, for How I Met Your Mother, at next Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Saturday’s other winners also included Jaime Oliver’s Food Revolution (best reality series), previous Emmy-winning Survivor host Jeff Probst (best reality-show host) and Ann-Margret, for her guest -starring role on Law and Order: SVU. The ad firm Weiden + Kennedy also received a Creative Arts Emmy for its Old Spice commercial, whose star, Isaiah Mustafa, told the Hollywood Reporter before the ceremony, “This is my first awards show, and I get to be nominated alongside Betty White!”

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards don’t usually get this much attention but considering the caliber of nominees this year, it’s no wonder this news is making a big splash. The big Emmy Awards are next week … but these Creative Arts Emmys are getting major attention. After the jump, check out a few photos of some of the winners at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys

The TV Guide
Mary Lynn Rajskub Spreads Her Legs, Bares Her Soul

Last night Darion and I made our way to the Steve Allen Theater here in LA to attend the opening night performance of Mary Lynn Rajskub‘s new one woman show Mary Lynn Spreads Her Legs. Darion and I saw her do a stand-up comedy show at M Bar a couple of years ago so we were really looking forward to gettin’ our yuks from MLR last night … and boy did we ever. The show is utterly fantastic and … surprisingly touching and poignant, too:

The show is all about Mary Lynn‘s pregnancy and subsequent relationship with her now husband Matthew Rolph and very funnily details all of the pitfalls that Mary Lynn endured by becoming a new mom. I don’t want to spoil the show for you in case you get to see it but … I wouldn’t let MLR babysit your child … unless you DON’T own an oven. As I said, the show is riotously funny (tho, I could go a lifetime without every hearing MLR utter the words “tight pussy” ever again) and then shockingly poignant and very, very touching. Mary Lynn is able to switch instantaneously from a funny bit to a quiet and sentimental one. We were so impressed and entertained. Mary Lynn will be performing her one-woman show Mary Lynn Spreads Her Legs at the Steve Allen Theater every weekend all Summer long, thru the end of October! Click HERE to get tix for this show … YOU MUST SEE IT!

We got to chat with her for a bit after the show, she was a total sweetheart … it’s always so nice getting to chat with her :D

After the show, Darion and I were invited to the Friends and Family soft opening night of a new bar on Hollywood Blvd. called Loaded. D’s friend Tara’s boyfriend PJ is part owner so we were happy to show up and lend our support (and get some free drinks, too). After the jump, check out some of our pics from the bar …

The End
The Cast Of ‘24’ Convenes For A Lavish Series Wrap Party

24 castmembers, both current and old skool, made their way to Boulevard 3 here in LA last night to attend a series wrap party held in honor of the Fox TV series. As you may recall, the final episode of the series was filmed in NYC at the start of this month but they saved the party for last night. Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub were joined by 24 alums like Dennis Haybert, Kim Raver and Sarah Clarke at last night’s fete. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals last night:

I LOVE that so many 24 alums came back for one last hurrah last night. 24 has given us years of entertainment and I love that so many of the people responsible for all that entertainment got together one last time to celebrate. It’s kinda crazy to think that the show is over … but I am very much looking forward to 24 finding new life on the big screen. Don’t these people all look amazing? It’s really very cool to see them all together again.

Chloe, get yer gun!
Mary Lynn Rajskub Is Armed & Fabulous On ‘24’

Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays the amazing Chloe O’Brien on the FOX TV series 24, just shared a photo on her official Twitter account to promote tonight’s episode of 24. Those of you who watch the show know that the NYC headquarters of CTU was compromised at the end of last week’s episode … and this photo gives us a peek at what’s gonna go down on tonight’s new ep:

This is a pretty sweet photo Fox gave me to promote 24 tonight!!!

Woot!! While it pains me that this season of 24 has been sucking HARDCORE, I’m encouraged by the fact that Chloe is being called upon to kick terrorist ass on tonight’s ep. Longtime fans of 24 know that Chloe spends all of her time behind desks inside the (relative) safety of CTU. It’s extremely rare that Chloe is armed and has to operate in the field. It’s so rare that she’s only ever done it once before … back in 2005, Chloe O’Brien was forced to leave CTU and go into the field. In that ep, she was ambushed by terrorists but she managed to pull out a MACHINE GUN and waste their sorry asses!! I am SO looking forward to tonight’s ep. Chloe + gun = AWESOMENESS! Finally … a reason to be excited about 24 again!!

"I wish I could tell you what I'm doing in ctu today"
Mary Lynn Rajskub Tweets From The Set Of ‘24’

Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays the amazing Chloe O’Brien on 24, posted a few tweets on her official Twitter profile from the set of 24 where she is filming new eps today. Altho Mary Lynn teased that she “wish[es] [she] could tell [us] what [she] is doing … today” she did share a couple of fun photos from the set to appease her Twitter followers (like me). Here are a couple of her pics and a few of her tweets:

I wish I could tell you what I’m doing in ctu today / Photo from ctu / Ok a real pic from ctu. Me, mykelti and our director of photography Rodney / Hi from us at 24

I love it! Twitter is so fun … I love that folks like Mary Lynn can share cute pics like this from the sets of our fave TV shows. I am so excited for the new season of 24 … like, whoa! We’ve seen the trailer, we’ve seen the promo pics and now we’re gettin’ the tweets. It won’t be long until we get to watch the show itself. Cannot wait!!!

New day, New castmembers
First Look: Katee Sackhoff & Freddie Prinze, Jr. On ‘24’

Back in May we learned that Freddie Prinze, Jr. (who just became a new dad to baby girl Charlotte Grace with wifey and Buffyverse alum Sarah Michelle Gellar) would be joining the cast of 24 for their upcoming 8th season and in June we learned that Battlestar Gallatica album Katee Sackhoff would also be joining the cast. Last month we got our first look at a new trailer promoting season 8 of 24 which featured both FPJ and Katee along with another new castmember, Anil Kapoor (who starred as the douchey gameshow host in Slumdog Millionaire). Today, we get to check out 3 new promo photos of these new 24 castmembers in their roles on the show:

The first look of Katee Sackhoff on “24″ has been shared as some promotional photos that expose individual characters are released by FOX. The actress is a new addition to the CTU team, being placed as an analyst named Dana Walsh. The role is not only recurring but regular. Dana will work side by side with Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer. The character is described as “a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU.” She reportedly will be entangled in a romantic relationship with field agent Davis Cole who is played by another new regular, Freddie Prinze Jr. The eighth season of “24″ will premiere on January 17, 2010. It will unfold in New York City amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations. In this new day, CTU has been upgraded and is run by MBA-schooled and razor-sharp head honcho Brian Hastings.

I am SO loving these new castmembers … I cannot wait for 24 to debut next year. 24 remains one of my fave shows ever and I’ve been counting down the days ’til it hits the air again. After the jump, check out 2 other new promo photos that feature our beloved 24 characters Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) …

'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' wins an EMMY!!!!!!
The 2009 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Are Handed Out

The 61st Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out in an intimate (ie. small) ceremony held at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles, CA last night. Nicknamed the Shmemmies, these Emmy awards are presented in recognition of technical and other similar achievements in American television programming and are commonly awarded to behind-the-scenes personnel such as art directors, costume designers, cinematographers, casting directors, and sound editors. The big winner of the night was Tina Fey, who collected an Emmy award for her amazingly brilliant impersonation of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live last year but the surprising winner of the night was Joss Whedon‘s creation Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (which existed online only at DrHorrible.com) which took home the Emmy award for Outstanding Special Class—Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program. Here are a few photos from the press room at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards last night:

The big winner at Saturday’s Creative Arts Emmys? Sarah Palin. Tina Fey. The bespectacled funnylady’s spot-on Saturday Night Live spoofin’ of a certain veep wannabe earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress, Comedy. You betcha. “This would not be possible without Mrs. Palin…[who is] an inspiration to working mothers everywhere,” Fey sad as she picked up the prize. She also gave a shout-out to “my parents, who are lifelong Republican, for their patience.” “They thought the first four sketches were very funny and the last two, enough already,” said Fey, who can collect more hardware at next weekend’s Primetime Emmys. Meanwhile, all that booty-shaking with Beyoncé and mother-loving with Susan Sarandon paid off for Justin Timberlake. The former ‘N Syncer claimed the Guest Actor, Comedy statuette for his own SNL stint. Timberlake became the first host in the history of the late-night stalwart to claim that honor. This is Timberlake’s second SNL-spawned Emmy. He previously scored the music category for his infamous “D-ck in a Box” showcase with Andy Samberg. But they weren’t all the big-name winners at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre. Michael J. Fox (Guest Actor, Drama), Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn (Guest Actress, Drama) and SNL alums Jimmy Fallon (Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media) and Chris Rock (Writing, Variety, Music or Comedy Special) were among those honored. Long-snubbed Buffy mastermind Joss Whedon finally collected some Emmy hardware for his hugely popular online project Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. The wingding was presided over by Kathy Griffin, who saw the two-year Emmy-winning reign of Kathy Griffin: Life on the D List come crashing to a halt, with A&E’s Intervention named Outstanding Reality Program. The awards ceremony honored 81 technical and other achievements for the 2008-09 season. HBO led the way with 16 Emmys, followed by NBC (11) and ABC and Fox (eight apiece). PBS’ Little Dorrit topped all programs with four awards.

Um, I didn’t even know you could win an Emmy Award if your program was not broadcast on television … how awesome is Dr. Horrible‘s win??? Congrats also goes out to Tina Fey because, in all honesty, I am of the mind that her spot-on impersonation of Sarah Palin did a lot to help the greater good and helped expose Palin‘s insipidness more widely to the masses … so on behalf of the American people, we love you and congrats Tina!! I don’t believe that Mary Lynn Rajskub won an award last night but I wanted to include a photo of her and new hubby Matthew Rolph because they look so damn cute together :) Click HERE to see who else took home Creative Emmy Awards last night … and, again, congrats to all the winners!

The couple say their spontaneous 'I Do's in Sin City
Mary Lynn Rajskub & Matthew Rolph Got Hitched!

Much love and congrats goes out to 24 actress Mary Lynn Rajskub and her personal trainer/babydaddy Matthew Rolph after they finally decided to make it official and tie the knot in Las Vegas, NV over the weekend! Mary Lynn and Matthew share a baby boy named Valentine Anthony who was born to the couple in July of 2008 and was prolly some inspiration for the couple’s nuptials … they got hitched, y’all!

Mary Lynn Rajskub’s has never been one to stick to convention, and the 24 star’s wedding to personal trainer Matthew Rolph over the weekend at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas was no exception. The actress, wearing an ivory wedding gown with lace overlay by Nicole Miller, was walked down the aisle Saturday by the couple’s 1-year-old son Valentine to Elvis’s “A Little Less Conversation.” The groom wore a white Hugo Boss suit. “We didn’t know that getting married at a casino in Vegas with Elvis could be so romantic,” Rajskub tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Our wedding was beautiful, spontaneous and intimate.” After the ceremony, the couple and their 20 guests, among them It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia costars and real-life husband and wife Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney, continued the celebration into the wee hours at the restaurant Koi Las Vegas. Rajskub, 38, and Rolph, 29, who met while she was performing a stand-up comedy gig, welcomed their son on July 24 last year. “We are so excited to officially be husband and wife,” Rajskub adds.

Yay!! I am so happy for Mary Lynn and Matthew!! MLR is seriously one of my fave actresses ever! She is totally fabulous in everything she does … I’m just thrilled that her happy little family is coming together. Her baby boy, Valentine, is so cute … I really couldn’t be happier for all of them. I was happily surprised to learn that Mary Lynn co-stars in the film Julie & Julia (which I got to see last night and LOVED … review on the way) and, of course, I’m really looking forward to seeing her in the upcoming new season of 24. Again … love and congrats Rajskub-Rolphs! May you live a very long and very happy life together!!

The Cast Of ‘24’ Previews The Season 7 Finale, Launches The DVD

Kiefer Sutherland, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Carlos Bernard and more were on hand at the Wadsworth Theater here in LA last night for a preview screening of the season finale of 24 (which airs on FOX next Monday night) and a launch event for the DVD release of Season 7 (which hits stores next Tuesday). Here are a few pics from the red carpet arrivals at last night’s event:

It PAINS me to reveal that I was graciously invited to attend this event last night but due to my previous engagement in Anaheim, I was unable to attend. I’m so happy to see that most of the cast came out for the event … including Glenn Morshower who plays the amazing Secret Serviceman Aaron Pierce on the show. He is my fave non-main character on the show. It’s really cool that the entire season of the show will be released on DVD the day after the finale airs … I really hate waiting months to get the DVDs after the season ends. This season started out a bit slow, IMHO, but it really picked up about 4 eps in … it’s been a great ride and it all ends next week. I’m still trying to get over the fact that Tony Almeida was a bad guy gone good gone bad. He is such a great character … I’m sure there will be a showdown with Jack Bauer soon (next week??). 24 remains one of my fave shows and I’m bummed that it’s ending next week … but it is of great comfort that the show has been renewed for at least 2 more seasons to come.
