Lindsay Lohan & Samantha Ronson Reunite In London

L. Ron rides again?
Thursday, June 4th, 2009

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson managed to find themselves at the same club in London, England last night (Bungalow 8) after spending quite a bit of time apart since their break-up earlier this year. Despite the fact that the ladies called off their relationship, they had been seen since in each other’s relative proximity (namely at Samantha’s home for overnight visits) while managing to evade being photographed together … but, for the most part, they’ve been apart — until last night. Altho both Lindsay and Samantha entered and exited the club separately, I think it’s safe to assume that L. Ron spent some time together while inside the club last night:

Lindsay Lohan is nothing if not persistent. The actress spent last night shadowing her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson around town after following her to London this week. After a quick visit to Crystal nightclub in Oxford Street, the Mean Girls star stopped in at Bungalow 8 where the DJ just happened to be partying with her brother Mark Ronson and his girlfriend Josephine de La Baume. Samantha, accompanied by her crew, made a sharp exit just minutes after Lindsay’s arrival and returned to her hotel. Lo and behold, Linday is said to have then trailed her down the road to Blakes in South Kensington, the plush establishment she checked herself into on Tuesday. Their appearance in the same city at the same time may not be such a coincidence though, after Lindsay was said to have organised photo shoots and club appearances to coincide with Samantha’s visit. After arriving from France on Tuesday afternoon, the 22-year-old actress checked into the Blakes – just down the road from Samantha’s hotel – before travelling up to North London for a photo shoot. After a tour of Asia and a brief stop in Munich, 31-year-old Sam arrived in London on Saturday, where she has arranged a string of DJing gigs, including stints at the decks of Mahiki, Whisky Mist and Cafe De Paris. Lindsay is believed to have arranged to be in the British capital at the same time as Samantha as month ago when she was trying to win her back. Samantha ended their rocky romance on April 4 after the couple had a furious row in Los Angeles … Since their split, Lindsay has been spotted leaving Samantha’s Hollywood home after spending the night talking to her ex on various occasions and was even spotted there last week while Samantha was in the Philippines. Rather tellingly on the day Samantha flew from Manila to Singapore, Lindsay wrote on her Twitter micro-blogging page: ‘Missing a certain someone after a massage and chicken noodle soup… U (she) knows. Cuddle time soon I hope – fly safe.’ While the couple haven’t been photographed together since their split, Samantha has changed her Facebook relationship status from ’single’ to ‘it’s complicated’ and lists Lindsay Lohan as the number one friend on her MySpace page.

Ahhh … the complications of lurve. I fear the love affair between L. Ron is way too complicated to be dunzo for long. These two seem to share an attraction to one another that defies explanation. While I, personally, would love for the two of them to get back together … I think it’s best that they continue to spend some time apart so that they can figure out what’s best for them individually. That said, I suspect L. Ron will be back together officially before Summer’s end. Good luck, ladies! I’m rootin’ for you!

I <3 Ronson

The TV Guide

Blaurgh. Last night was a lot of fun and I’m still paying for it this afternoon. I swear, I’m never drinking again … ever. But fun was had last night … for sure. After I dropped off David at the airport, I met up with my friend Johnny for a quick cameo at a TMZ party at Red Rocks on Sunset. I really love the TMZ crew … they are the coolest bunch of people and it’s always a good time seeing them out in social situations. Because they all work so hard (pretty much 24/7), it’s rare to see them socially but when there is a TMZ party, it’s deffo a party. After spending some time there, Johnny and I made our way to Bar Marmont at the Chateau Marmont to attend the I Heart Ronson party to celebrate Charlotte Ronson’s new clothing line for JC Penney. Mark Ronson and the Version Players provided the live music and Samatha Ronson provided the party tunes after … it was a really fun event:

I managed to avoid running into Pug Dilton but I did get to chat with Nicole Richie for a bit. Her bump is getting so big! It looks much bigger in person than it does in pictures. Mark Ronson killed it on stage and Johnny and I had a blast.

But our night was over yet … after the Ronson event, we made our way to Fubar to get our drink on … and boy, did we ever. I haven’t gotten that loaded in a very long time … I mean, it was fun at the time but UGH I’m so paying for it now. I had plans to go with Darion and Kirsten to Disneyland today but, alas, the trip got scrapped cuz of my near deathness. We’re gonna try and do dinner and a movie later. Blah, we’ll see.

The Ronsons Do ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ Magazine

Meet the fam

Superstar siblings Charlotte, Samantha and Mark Ronson are featured in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine … in their photoshoot, the sisters and brother channel the look of The Royal Tenebaums, behold:

Getting the Ronson siblings together is no easy task. After all, they have made being in demand an art form. Mark, 32, the hotshot music producer responsible for Amy Winehouse’s breakout album and whose own release, Version, went double platinum in the U.K., splits his time between London and New York when he’s not performing with the likes of Duran Duran or Jay-Z. Charlotte, 31, the downtown fashion designer who counts Kate Moss among her following, is busy working on her eponymous label and cohosting charity events. Her twin, Samantha, is an international DJ whose turntable skills are requested everywhere from Bel Air to Mumbai (though recently her most famous asset is Lindsay Lohan, whom she is rumored to be dating). “Not even on the high holiest of Jewish holidays do we all get together,” says Mark wryly. “But we get together individually whenever we can.” Even before tabloid targets Winehouse and Lohan entered the picture, the Ronson family was a source of intrigue. Mother Ann Dexter-Jones is a social darling who married Laurence Ronson, a British real estate heir and band manager, and then eventually remarried to Mick Jones of Foreigner. The couple (who recently divorced) moved the family to New York when the children were in grade school and had two more of their own: Annabelle, 21, is a Bard student and aspiring actress who serves as Charlotte’s top model, and Alexander, 23, is also a musician and DJ. “It would appear that we had a bohemian, rock ‘n’ roll upbringing,” says Charlotte. “And in many ways it was, but our mother was superstrict, and we also had the very English, proper nanny.” When asked about this, Dexter-Jones deadpans, “I used to be nicknamed Mummy Dearest” … The parallel between the Ronsons and the quirky prodigies, Chas, Margot, and Richie Tenenbaum, of the 2001 Wes Anderson-directed dramedy The Royal Tenenbaums isn’t just a clever concept. All are products of an unusual upbringing and artistic environment. “Samantha was and still is my renaissance child,” says her mother. “She always loved music and books and had a tremendous curiosity and intensity, whatever subject caught her imagination.” Though Samantha is recognized as a celebrity DJ, she originally broke onto the scene as a folk singer and songwriter. (Coincidentally, one of her tunes was featured in Lohan’s 2004 smash movie, Mean Girls.) Currently, she is remixing songs for Good Charlotte’s greatest-hits album and hopes to get her band up and running again. Lately, though, she has been in the spotlight for other reasons. When she discovered a small piece about herself and Lohan in Rolling Stone, she balked. “It’s like, ‘Oh, not you guys, too!’” says the typically press-shy Ronson. “I stay away from the tabloids. I don’t feel that I should personally have to defend myself to a magazine that I’m not a drug addict. I don’t do drugs. I don’t sell pictures of my friends.” When asked about Lohan, Samantha is polite but firm. “I’m not going to talk about Lindsay because she’s my friend, you know? She’s great. She’s also 22 years old. I think people forget that. With the Internet the way it is, one second we’re enemies, one second we’re best friends, one second we’re lovers, and then we’re broken up.” By press time, reports had trickled out on the Web that Samantha had changed her personal status on Facebook to “in a relationship,” while photos of her and Lohan holding hands had circulated. She is accustomed to the speculation. “Even the airport-security guy in Canada asked me, ‘So, is it true?’” laughs Samantha. “It’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, I’m telling you.’” Charlotte adds, “The funniest thing was, I bought a bunch of those tabloid magazines and didn’t even notice that Samantha was on the cover of one.” Lohan, however, is unsurprisingly coy when she replies by e-mail: “I love the Ronsons. They’re close to my and I respect all the work they do. Samantha and my relationship is a private matter.”

First off … I love the pics. Secondly, I had no idea that Charlotte and Samatha were twins. Thirdly, I love all things Ronson. I had the fortune to see Mark Ronson live in concert last Fall and was totally blown away — the man is such a huge talent. I am quite familiar with Samantha’s DJ stylings and have been a fan of hers for a very long time … that said, I had no idea she was a folk singer. I gotta get my hands on her stuff. I am not all that familiar with Charlotte’s fashion work but I’m sure she’s quite a talent if Kate Moss is a fan. You can read the full Harper’s Bazaar article on the Ronson sibs HERE … it’s a great read. I knew the family was insanely talented, I had no idea they were so quirky.
