Last Spring, after Wentworth Miller‘s character on Prison Break was killed off in the series finale, it was reported that Miller would be finding new life on the hit NBC series Law & Order: SVU. This week, Wentworth was spied on the NYC set of SVU with his new co-stars Mariska Haritay and Christopher Meloni but, alas, much like Hilary Duff‘s guest appearance on the show last season, Wentworth‘s appearance on the show will be for one ep only:

Prison Break star Wentworth Miller will guest star in the Season 11 premiere of Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Miller, who spent years running from the police on Prison Break, will be on the other side of the law this time around. He will play a NYPD cop named Nate Kendal, who saves a rape victim and crosses paths with Benson and Stabler. Alas, Miller’s run won’t extend beyond the one episode. SVU premieres Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 pm/ET on NBC.

It’s nice to see that Wentworth can find new work if he wants it. I really enjoyed him in Prison Break the first season … it was only mid-way thru season 2 that the show started to suck balls. I don’t usually watch any of the Law & Orders but I understand it’s a very popular series. I’m more a CSI: kinda guy. In any event, best of luck to Wentworth on this guest appearance … mebbe he can sort out more permanent work sometime soon.

I ain’t gonna lie … I am very excited for the release of this movie. It looks so dumb funny that I know it’s going to be a good time. I understand that the character of The Love Guru was supposed to make his debut in the Austin Powers movies but it wasn’t quite fleshed out and got cut from the films. Looks like Mike Meyers has been working on bringing this character to the big screen for some time now. Can I also say how much I *love* that my Detroit homeboy Chris Osgood from the NHL Champion Detroit Red Wings was not only invited to the movie premiere but also brought along with him the most beloved trophy in sports history, the Stanley Cup.
