Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood who last broke up back in November of 2008 only to get back together again in the Spring of 2009 and amazingly managed to stay together for a year AND get engaged have decided to break up … again. Shock of shocks … MM and ERW are, once again, dunzo!

Talk about on-again, off-again: Marilyn Manson and actress Evan Rachel Wood ended their engagement last week, a source tells PEOPLE. The newly single Manson, 41, then hit the town Saturday night, dining at L.A’s STK and clubbing at next door Boudoir with a group including a brunette named Twiggy and former Playmate of the Year Colleen Shannon. “They just broke off their engagement, and he needed a night out with friends,” says another source. While together, the shock rocker proposed to the True Blood actress, 22, during a January stage performance in Paris, according to reports. The two began dating in 2006 but then broke up in 2008, when Wood was linked briefly to actor Shane West. They reconciled for a short time, only to split again before becoming engaged last January.

Meh. It won’t last. I can feel it me bones … these two will get back together again. Just like you know when a couple isn’t meant to last … I’m just as sure that these two are meant to last. There’ll prolly be some back and forth, MM will prolly step out with some skanky chicks … but they’ll be back together again. Mark my words. I suppose we can mourn this dead relationship for now … but considering how gothy these two are together … it’ll resurrect again.

It appears that lovebirds Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood are still very much in lurve as the pair were spotted lookin’ all lovey-dovey on the NYC set of ERW‘s new television project Mildred Pierce … behold:

As you may recall, back in January we learned that MM and ERW had gotten themselves engaged to be wed (after the couple had reunited back in December) but to my knowledge the couple have yet to actually get married. Even tho I still think they make an odd couple, they really seem to be very much in love. Even tho they split up for a short while last year, I kinda knew they’d end up together again. I suppose it warms my cold, goth heart to see these two still happily in love.

It would seem that shock-rock musician (and sometime painter) Marilyn Manson (née Brian Warner) is a fan of the ABC series Lost becuase he posted a water color painting he did of Lost character John Locke (played by Terry O’Quinn) and posted it on his official Facebook profile … behold:

Not bad … not bad at all. To be honest, the artwork that Marilyn Manson has been putting out is much more interesting than the music he’s been releasing lately. This is actually a pretty cool/creepy homage to the character of John Locke. I understand MM was inspired to paint this portrait to sate bandmate Twiggy Ramirez‘s obsession with Lost. No word on if Twiggy (née Jeordie White) approves but I have to give this painting two thumbs up!

In early December we learned from Marilyn Manson himself that he and former fiancee Evan Rachel Wood were officially back together and today we are hearing from People magazine that the couple are, once again, engaged to be wed … henceforth, congratulations are in order. MM and ERW are gettin’ hitched, y’all!

Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood are engaged, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The shock-rocker reportedly proposed to the True Blood actress while he was performing on stage in Paris on Monday, according to reports. Rumors have been swirling for days about the famously on-again, off-again couple’s engagement. Reps for both Manson and Wood have remained mum on the subject. Manson, 41, began dating Wood, 22, in 2006 but the couple broke up in 2008. They briefly reconciled, then split again before getting back together. Last year, Manson revealed that he was so devastated over his breakup with Wood that he obsessed about the actress and called her incessantly. After they worked things out, Manson was quoted by the Herald Sun as saying that Wood has helped him be a better person. “Me being me at my best is what I need to be,” he said at the time. “That really paid off because I’m back with Evan.” Wood, for her part, described Mason to Elle magazine in 2007 as a “lovely, really human and just amazing. It may surprise you just how healthy and loving our relationship is.”

For the life of me, I never understood what it was about these two that worked but it seems fairly evident that they were meant to be. Considering the ups and downs their relationship has endured and the fact that they always seem to find their way back to one another seems proof enough to me that they are truly in lurve. I can’t blame MM for wanting to lock ERW down as his wife, she’s the best thing to come along since his ex-wife Dita Von Teese. ERW must just love her some Marilyn Manson, I guess. Here’s hoping they really make it this time … I’d hate for us to have to go thru another messy break-up then make-up then break-up situation again.

Back in 2007, former Marilyn Manson keyboardist Madonna Wayne Gacy (née Stephen Bier but also known as Pogo) brought suit against Marilyn Manson himself (née Brian Warner) for breach of contract, alleging that MM spent band money that should be shared among all members of Marilyn Manson on personal items (including Nazi paraphernalia, an engagement ring for Dita von Teese, a skeleton of a young child and other creepy things). The lawsuit was settled on December 11 but MM just decided to chime in on the matter on his official My Space blog early this morning. Here are some deets about the suit settlement and the full (colorful) blog posts from Marilyn Manson:

Stephen Bier, better known by the stage names Pogo and Madonna Wayne Gacy, brought his breach-of-contract suit in Los Angeles Superior Court in August 2007 against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner. The law firm of Grodsky & Olecki also was among numerous other defendants named. Bier, who was seeking more than $20 million, alleged Manson used money from their former band partnership to buy items ranging from Nazi paraphernalia to a $150,000 engagement ring for ex-wife Dita Von Teese. Lawyers told Judge Michael L. Stern on Dec. 11 that a settlement was reached, but that some matters had to be completed before he could dismiss the case. The terms of the accord were not divulged. On Thursday, the settlement effort hit a snag when Grodsky & Olecki filed a lien for attorneys’ fees stemming from their successful effort to persuade Stern to dismiss all of Bier’s allegations against them in November 2007. Stern’s ruling was upheld by a panel of the 2nd District Court of Appeal on June 4. The firm now wants to be paid from the settlement money and their lien at least temporarily puts a hold on a complete resolution of the case. Stern scheduled a hearing for Jan. 15 on any further motions regarding the settlement. Grodsky & Olecki represented both Bier and Manson while they were involved in previous litigation involving a third party. The allegations against the firm involved Bier’s contention that it breached its duty to him with an alleged “threat letter” that was “a transparent attempt by Manson to frighten Bier into leaving the band,” according to the keyboardist’s court papers. But Stern agreed with the firm’s lawyers that the letter was written in contemplation that Bier might file a lawsuit and was therefore protected. Bier’s lawyer, Olaf J. Muller, said that despite the temporary setback due to the filing of the lien, Bier is for the most part happy with the resolution of the case.

So the on-again off-again romance between Marilyn Manson (née Brian Warner) and Evan Rachel Wood appears to be back on again. You may recall that in November of last year ERW confirmed her split from MM and in December of last year, MM had already moved on with a new chick … in May of this year, there were rumors that Manson and Wood were back together but then in June of this year it looked like Evan had moved on and hooked up with actor Shane West. Cut to NOW and we are hearing from Marilyn Manson himself, in a new interview with Metal Hammer, that he and Evan Rachel Wood are back together again:

After some shocking behaviour in recent interviews Marilyn Manson is back with the woman he loves… “that’s kind of breaking news, you can be the first one to say that.”

You’ve been to the pits of despair and back, how does one pick ones self up and get inspired and motivated after such an identity crisis?
“I think I’m not afraid to be me. Sometimes [it] happens when you get to this point in your career, and there are so many things that have happened and influences that you’ve had, besides the influences of the things that have inspired you. Sometimes you feel awkward being what you’re best at, you feel like you have to be something new. But I think that a lot of people will agree that me being me at my best [is what] I need to be. I think that that really paid off because I’m back with Evan, that’s kind of breaking news, you can be the first one to say that.”

What else is new?
“We’ve just been released from our record contract with Interscope so I think a lot of the creative control on which my hands were tied on a lot of choices – the music videos – things like that. And the first example is the newest video, they clearly wouldn’t have allowed me to make that video. So we started writing new songs on the road – a bit like [David Bowie’s album] ‘Aladdin Sane’ – I think people can expect a new record a lot sooner than we [expected].

You don’t strike me as someone who wouldn’t put their foot down with a label…
“You’d be surprised how much restraint my creativity had which ended up often times in my life, not want to make music because I was so restrained from the music that I wanted to make – what they would allow, they would put out, what ideas they would allow to be conveyed in these videos. At least half of my creative output has been squashed, so now I think people can expect a whole lot more.”

Will the new material be a more honest look at Marilyn Manson then?
“Yeah, I think it will be more badass , I think it’s going to be more romantic maybe. Self abusive.”

OY! Well … I guess true love will always win out in the end. I suppose congrats are in order for the happy couple … and now that MM is back with the love of his life AND is freed from the confines of his record contract with Interscope, he can get back to making great music … right? Well, I think it’d be wise if we DON’T hold our collective breaths waiting for that to happen. But at least we can be happy that Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood are together again … that’s good news, don’tchathink?

Perhaps they were right all along. I really don’t understand that ERW sees in MM … she could really do so much better, I think. Ah well … I guess true love is blind. Have real-life vampires started roaming the streets of LA? Nope. Marilyn Manson is just back on the scene. When last MM was on the radar, he was embroiled in some break-up drama with ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood (which he seemed to get over very quickly as he was spotted in the close company of a new female friend shortly after the break-up, who he used as a subject of some of his paintings). But with a new album, The High End of Low, on the horizon (it hits stores in a couple of weeks), MM has come out of hiding once again to make his presence known in Hollywood. Here are a few pics of the heavily shrouded Manson emerging from dinner at Katsuya here in Hollywood last night:

See, even Marilyn Manson has jumped on board the Twilight craze! He makes a pretty convincing vampire, don’t you think? It would seem that in the second photo, MM was in the company of his new ladyfriend Isani Griffith (the same girl he was runnin’ around with last December) … it’s clear the man never seems to want for female companionship. I have to say, I’ve been a pretty big Marilyn Manson fan from way back in the day but the last couple of albums have sucked royally. I’m hoping this new disc will be a return to form (a la the Antichrist Superstar days). While I’m pretty much over his shockgoth sctick, I am hoping that he is capable of putting out good music again. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Are any of y’all looking forward to his new disc? The track We’re From America will be available for download on March 27 on MarilynManson.com. The album’s official first single “Arma… geddon” will arrive at radio April 13th. It’s been a while since Marilyn Manson has been on the scene … and I’m pleased with the new line-up. Having Twiggy Ramirez back in the fold (who was kinda recently the live bassist for Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle after he left Marilyn Manson a few years ago) is good news. I’m also very pleased that Ginger Fish (an almost original member of MM) and Chris Vrenna (one of NIN‘s greatest live drummers, I might add) are in the MM line-up. As much as I love Tim Skold, I don’t think he did much for Marilyn Manson‘s last album as it was my least favorite disc. I’m anxious to hear what this new incarnation of Marilyn Manson sounds like … the prospect of MM, Twiggy and Vrenna producing this album is very good news. I’m not sure if there are many Marilyn Manson fans among you Pink readers but I still am and I’m really lookin’ forward to this new album.

Last November we learned the heartbreaking news that Marilyn Manson and his much younger girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood ended their romantic involvement after rumors of their personal family strife started making the rounds. At first, Evan denied that the couple broke up and insisted that she and MM were merely “on a break” but then she did eventually confirm that the couple were dunzo. Shortly after we got confirmation, Marilyn Manson was spotted showing off a new young replacement in Florida who was presumed to be his new girlfriend. BUT, here we are about 3 months later and The New York Post’s Page Six is claiming that the couple have gotten back together again … or, at the very least, are back on “very friendly” terms once again:

ARE bizarre couple Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson an item again? They were seen leaving the W Hotel in LA together Sunday morning before Wood walked the red carpet at the Oscars. The 21-year-old actress recently denied rumors she was hooking up with her “The Wrestler” co-star Mickey Rourke – and now we know why. Our source outside the hotel said Manson emerged first and “said he was waiting for his girlfriend.” Then, she came out and they climbed into a waiting car.

AWWWWWW … see that, folks? True love really is forever. Even tho this report offers no proof whatsoever that the couple are really together together again, if they’re sharing cars then they are very probably sharing other things as well. Meh. Lurve is lurve and it should be celebrated wherever it can be found. If these two truly have found their way back to one another, then I suppose we should be happy for them … right? Right?
